History of Dispensationalism

Contrary to what many are told, dispensationalism isn’t a “new” invention from Scofield or Darby.
The early church fathers as far back as the second century recognized some form of dispensationalism. The blueprint for dividing the Bible is also found right in the pages of the King James Bible:

• 2 Timothy 2:15: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
• Ephesians 3:2: “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward.”
• Ephesians 1:10: “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ…”
