I will not give

אֶתֵּ֣ן

שְׁנַ֣ת

to mine eyes

לְעֵינָ֑י

to mine eyelids

לְֽעַפְעַפַּ֥י

or slumber

תְּנוּמָֽה׃

 

עַד

Until I find out

אֶמְצָ֣א

a place

מָ֭קוֹם

for the LORD

לַיהוָ֑ה

an habitation

מִ֝שְׁכָּנ֗וֹת

for the mighty

לַאֲבִ֥יר

God of Jacob

יַעֲקֹֽב׃

 

הִנֵּֽה

Lo we heard

שְׁמַֽעֲנ֥וּהָ

of it at Ephratah

בְאֶפְרָ֑תָה

we found

מְ֝צָאנ֗וּהָ

it in the fields

בִּשְׂדֵי

of the wood

יָֽעַר׃

We will go

נָב֥וֹאָה

into his tabernacles

לְמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָ֑יו

we will worship

נִ֝שְׁתַּחֲוֶ֗ה

at his footstool

לַהֲדֹ֥ם

 

רַגְלָֽיו׃

Arise

קוּמָ֣ה

O LORD

יְ֭הוָה

into thy rest

לִמְנוּחָתֶ֑ךָ

 

אַ֝תָּ֗ה

thou and the ark

וַאֲר֥וֹן

of thy strength

עֻזֶּֽךָ׃

Let thy priests

כֹּהֲנֶ֥יךָ

be clothed

יִלְבְּשׁוּ

with righteousness

צֶ֑דֶק

and let thy saints

וַחֲסִידֶ֥יךָ

shout for joy

יְרַנֵּֽנוּ׃

For thy servant

עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ

 

אַל

sake turn not away

תָּ֝שֵׁ֗ב

the face

פְּנֵ֣י

of thine anointed

מְשִׁיחֶֽךָ׃

hath sworn

נִשְׁבַּֽע

The LORD

יְהוָ֨ה׀

unto David

לְדָוִ֡ד

in truth

אֱמֶת֮

 

לֹֽא

he will not turn

יָשׁ֪וּב

 

מִ֫מֶּ֥נָּה

from it Of the fruit

מִפְּרִ֥י

of thy body

בִטְנְךָ֑

will I set

אָ֝שִׁ֗ית

upon thy throne

לְכִסֵּא

 

לָֽךְ׃

 

אִֽם

will keep

יִשְׁמְר֬וּ

If thy children

בְּנֵיהֶ֥ם

my covenant

בְּרִיתִי֮

and my testimony

וְעֵדֹתִ֥י

that

ז֗וֹ

I shall teach

אֲלַ֫מְּדֵ֥ם

 

גַּם

If thy children

בְּנֵיהֶ֥ם

for evermore

עַ֑ד

for evermore

עַ֑ד

shall also sit

יֵ֝שְׁב֗וּ

upon thy throne

לְכִסֵּא

 

לָֽךְ׃

 

כִּֽי

hath chosen

בָחַ֣ר

For the LORD

Zion

בְּצִיּ֑וֹן

he hath desired

אִ֝וָּ֗הּ

it for his habitation

לְמוֹשָׁ֥ב

זֹאת

This is my rest

מְנוּחָתִ֥י

for ever

עַ֑ד

here will I dwell

for I have desired

אִוִּתִֽיהָ׃

her provision

צֵ֭ידָהּ

I will abundantly

her poor

אֶ֝בְיוֹנֶ֗יהָ

I will satisfy

אַשְׂבִּ֥יעַֽ

with bread

her priests

I will also clothe

אַלְבִּ֣ישׁ

with salvation

יֶ֑שַׁע

and her saints

וַ֝חֲסִידֶ֗יהָ

shall shout aloud

יְרַנֵּֽנוּ׃

שָׁ֤ם

There will I make

אַצְמִ֣יחַ

the horn

קֶ֣רֶן

of David

לְדָוִ֑ד

I have ordained

עָרַ֥כְתִּי

a lamp

נֵ֝֗ר

for mine anointed

לִמְשִׁיחִֽי׃

His enemies

א֭וֹיְבָיו

will I clothe

אַלְבִּ֣ישׁ

with shame

בֹּ֑שֶׁת

 

וְ֝עָלָ֗יו

flourish

יָצִ֥יץ

but upon himself shall his crown

נִזְרֽוֹ׃
