Blessed
בָּ֘ר֤וּךְ
be the LORD
יְהוָ֨ה׀
my strength
צוּרִ֗י
which teacheth
הַֽמְלַמֵּ֣ד
my hands
יָדַ֣י
to war
לַקְרָ֑ב
and my fingers
אֶ֝צְבְּעוֹתַ֗י
to fight
לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃
2
My goodness
חַסְדִּ֥י
and my fortress
וּמְצוּדָתִי֮
my high tower
מִשְׂגַּבִּ֪י
and my deliverer
וּֽמְפַלְטִ֫י

לִ֥י
my shield
מָ֭גִנִּי

וּב֣וֹ
and he in whom I trust
חָסִ֑יתִי
who subdueth
הָרוֹדֵ֖ד
my people
עַמִּ֣י

תַחְתָּֽי׃

LORD
יְֽהוָ֗ה

מָה
what is man
אָ֭דָם
that thou takest knowledge
וַתֵּדָעֵ֑הוּ
of him! or the son
בֶּן

אֱ֝נ֗וֹשׁ
that thou makest account
וַֽתְּחַשְּׁבֵֽהוּ׃
4
Man
אָ֭דָם
to vanity
לַהֶ֣בֶל
is like
דָּמָ֑ה
his days
יָ֝מָ֗יו
are as a shadow
כְּצֵ֣ל
that passeth away
עוֹבֵֽר׃
5
O LORD
יְ֭הוָה
Bow
הַט
thy heavens
שָׁמֶ֣יךָ
and come down
וְתֵרֵ֑ד
touch
גַּ֖ע
the mountains
בֶּהָרִ֣ים
and they shall smoke
וְֽיֶעֱשָֽׁנוּ׃
6
Cast forth
בְּר֣וֹק
lightning
בָּ֭רָק
and scatter
וּתְפִיצֵ֑ם
them shoot out
שְׁלַ֥ח
thine arrows
חִ֝צֶּ֗יךָ
and destroy
וּתְהֻמֵּֽם׃
7
Send
שְׁלַ֥ח
from the hand
מִ֝יַּ֗ד
from above
מִמָּ֫ר֥וֹם
rid
פְּצֵ֣נִי
me and deliver
וְ֭הַצִּילֵנִי
waters
מִמַּ֣יִם
me out of great
רַבִּ֑ים
from the hand
מִ֝יַּ֗ד
children
בְּנֵ֣י
of strange
נֵכָֽר׃
8

אֲשֶׁ֣ר
Whose mouth
פִּ֭יהֶם
speaketh
דִּבֶּר
vanity
שָׁ֑וְא
and their right hand
יְמִ֣ין
and their right hand
יְמִ֣ין
of falsehood
שָֽׁקֶר׃
9
unto thee O God
אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים
I will sing
שִׁ֣יר
a new
חָ֭דָשׁ
song
אָשִׁ֣ירָה

לָּ֑ךְ
upon a psaltery
בְּנֵ֥בֶל
and an instrument of ten strings
עָ֝שׂ֗וֹר
will I sing praises
אֲזַמְּרָה

לָּֽךְ׃
10
It is he that giveth
הַנּוֹתֵ֥ן
salvation
תְּשׁוּעָ֗ה
unto kings
לַמְּלָ֫כִ֥ים
who delivereth
הַ֭פּוֹצֶה

אֶת
David
דָּוִ֥ד
his servant
עַבְדּ֗וֹ
sword
מֵחֶ֥רֶב
from the hurtful
רָעָֽה׃
11
Rid
פְּצֵ֥נִי
me and deliver
וְהַצִּילֵנִי֮
me from the hand

יְמִ֣ין
of falsehood
שָֽׁקֶר׃
12

אֲשֶׁ֤ר
That our sons
בָּנֵ֨ינוּ׀
may be as plants
כִּנְטִעִים֮
grown up
מְגֻדָּלִ֪ים
in their youth
בִּֽנְעוּרֵ֫יהֶ֥ם
that our daughters
בְּנוֹתֵ֥ינוּ
may be as corner stones
כְזָוִיֹּ֑ת
polished
מְ֝חֻטָּב֗וֹת
after the similitude
תַּבְנִ֥ית
of a palace
הֵיכָֽל׃
13
That our garners
מְזָוֵ֣ינוּ
may be full
מְלֵאִים֮
affording
מְפִיקִ֥ים
all manner of store
זַ֥ן

אֶ֫ל
all manner of store
זַ֥ן
that our sheep
צֹאונֵ֣נוּ
may bring forth thousands
מַ֭אֲלִיפוֹת
and ten thousands
מְרֻבָּב֗וֹת
in our streets
בְּחוּצוֹתֵֽינוּ׃
14
That our oxen
אַלּוּפֵ֗ינוּ
may be strong to labour
מְֽסֻבָּ֫לִ֥ים

אֵֽין
that there be no breaking in
פֶּ֭רֶץ

וְאֵ֣ין
nor going out
יוֹצֵ֑את

וְאֵ֥ין
that there be no complaining
צְ֝וָחָ֗ה
in our streets
בִּרְחֹבֹתֵֽינוּ׃
15
Happy
אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י
is that people
הָ֝עָ֗ם
that is in such a case
שֶׁכָּ֣כָה

לּ֑וֹ
Happy
אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י
is that people
הָ֝עָ֗ם
is the LORD
שֶׁיֲהוָ֥ה
whose God
אֱלֹהָֽיו׃
