The smoke rose up forever and ever
Revelation 19:3 “And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.”
Notice the latter part of verse 3, it says her smoke rose up forever and ever. Compare that with Revelation 14:8, remember that interesting theory that Babylon would be like Sodom and Gomorrah sinking down to hell, it might be truer than you think because the fire that’s burning her is not just regular fire, it’s going to be hellfire.
Revelation 14:8 “And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
It’s a similar timeline.
Revelation 14:11 “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
“And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever:”
That’s hellfire.
Going back to Revelation 19, it really seems like Babylon is literally sinking down to hell.
God deserves worship and praise
Revelation 19:4 “And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.”
The twenty-four elders are the Christian saints of all time.
The four beasts are the four cherubims up in heaven.
We will fall down and worship God who’s sitting on the throne and we say Amen, praise ye Jehovah. Over and over again.
Revelation 19:5 “And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.”
There’s a voice that comes out of God’s throne.
“saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants,”
Atheists would say, ‘God is so full of Himself, such a narcissist. This guy just wants to be complimented every single time’. If you only know how much God did for me, He deserves 10,000 praises, if not all of eternity. Because He saved my eternity with His very own life and gave up His most prized possession, His holiness.
In other words, it doesn’t matter whether you’re less famous (small) or more famous (great), everyone fears God. So throughout all time in Christianity, the Lord has used small people and the great people.
So these people fear God. That’s why He deserves worship.
Revelation 19:6 “And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.”
The voice of a great multitude represents a lot of people.
When they’re all saying with one voice ‘Praise ye Jehovah’, which is Alleluia, that voice is the voice of waters and thunders.
This is something interesting here, if we go back to pre-tribulation, don’t we hear a voice out of heaven that says ‘Come up hither’ and throughout the book of Revelation, you’ll notice that phrase ‘voice of many waters and thunders’.
What pastor thinks what’s going on here is that the only thing capable to pierce through the sea of glass that’s dividing the heavens and earth is thunder. His voice is like thunder when He comes down out of heaven for the second advent. And our voices are going to sound like that too because the only scientific natural way that can go through that sea is some form of electricity which is known as the fastest element for the scientific principles and is able to transmit the sound to the earth or call us to rapture up to heaven.
Omnipotent means all-powerful. Our Lord who is omnipotent, He reigns.
When Handel wrote that song, it’s actually supposed to be for the tribulation, it’s not for today. The chorus ‘Hallelujah Hallelujah’ is not what a lot of people think. Can you imagine those atheists and unbelievers at San Francisco standing up at the Hallelujah chorus realize what they’re standing up for? It’s for fearing God and seeing the Roman system burn to the ground. They have no idea what they’re praising God about.
The wife of the Lamb is made ready
Revelation 19:7 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”
Why should we all be happy and give honor to Him?
The marriage supper is starting after she burns, that’s important to understand.
The wife is preparing herself, she is ready.
Revelation 19:8 “And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”
Her garments are pure and holy, her own righteousness. Notice it’s her own righteousness, not Christ’s righteousness.
If you look at verses 7 and 8, when the church is granted her fine linen and robes, it’s the righteousness of saints, it’s not based on the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 19:9 “And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.”
John is writing when God says to him.
“Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
There are people who join this marriage supper.
The timing the church goes through after the rapture
What the pastor believes is that when we get raptured up to heaven, we are going to enjoy heaven before the Judgment Seat of Christ. After that we are going through the marriage supper of the Lamb, then the tribulation saints are going to join us up there. The marriage is actually ongoing and then the tribulation saints later catch up.
Where is this all from? In 1 Corinthians 3 and Revelation 2, it talks about the righteousness is determined by the Christians reward system, which is dependent on their works and that includes 2 Corinthians 5:10.
That’s why Revelation 19:8 talks about the righteousness of saints. Why is she made ready at verse 7? It’s because she already purified herself through that fire at 1 Corinthians 3 where her works and her righteousness had clothed her and prepared her. If you compare that with 2 Corinthians 5, we are clothed upon. If you look at Ephesians 5, the bride has to keep cleansing herself, present sanctification, without spot or wrinkle and that’s based on the sanctification of the word. Because of that, we can see for a matter of fact that the bride cannot be ready until she goes through the Judgment Seat of Christ.
Hence Judgment Seat of Christ has to be before marriage. Why do you say that we enjoy heaven before the Judgment Seat of Christ? Because if we insist that the marriage supper of the Lamb and the Judgment Seat of Christ start at the beginning as soon as we get raptured, then we don’t have that time to enjoy our mansion in heaven.
John 14, Jesus says ‘If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again (rapture) and receive you unto myself that where I am, there ye may be also’. So pastor believes that there is a time that they’re going to be enjoying their mansion before the Judgment Seat of Christ.
The question of how the Judgment Seat of Christ will be carried out to judge millions of Christians throughout time is that it’s very interesting when you study science in space that time operates differently out there in the universe and lost unbelievers know that. There’s a faster and slower process from out there to here. The Lord can just go through the Judgment Seat of Christ and in our perspective through relativity, it will be so fast but over there time is normally going on. That’s why it makes sense that 2 Peter 3, the day with the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.
Why are the tribulation saints going to later catch up? That’s because Luke 12 says that when Jesus the bridegroom raptures the tribulation saints, it says He’s returning from His wedding. That means that He’s already married to someone over there and that proves if He’s already married to the church over there before He raptures the tribulation saints, that’s utmost proof that the church was already raptured before the tribulation and there’s another rapture during the tribulation.
