This is a verse by verse study of the book of Revelation, beginning with Revelation chapter 1 verses 1 to 3.

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

God gives Jesus the revelation to show us, that things must shortly come to pass. We believe in the doctrine that teaches the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Jesus is coming very soon, and that the rapture can happen at any moment. However, some heretic teachers believe in a post-tribulation claim that the Anti-Christ needs to take over the world first, and that tribulation needs to happen before Jesus Christ comes again to claim his bride.

In contrast, we believe in Pre-Tribulation Rapture, the imminent return of Lord Jesus Christ, as proven in the book of revelation with chapters and verses mentioned above.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

We human beings are always drawn into instant gratification and want things almost immediately. But, God’s timing for us is different and through the bible, we need to learn to get into the spirit and follow his timing.

Accordingly to Revelation 1:1, God gave His revelation to His Son Jesus Christ, and Jesus sends it by an Angel, who gives it to His servant John to preach unto us, His servants. Nonetheless, we ought to get the revelation from the right God, the right Jesus, and the right Angel, because we know clearly Satan has transformed into an angel of light. It is important to associate with the right preacher as well as fellowship with the right people.

There are no shortcuts or alternative ways, which is why reading King James Version and associating with a bible believing and fundamental church is very important.

Revelation 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

What signifies a right preacher, is that he bears record of the word of God. The bible is our final authority, as it serves as a testimony of Christ Jesus and prophesies about the future.

Similarly, we can assess a preacher’s trustworthiness depending on his testimony. Our testimonies as Christians are also important to the people that we are witnessing to.

Book of Revelation shows us that it is referring to the timeline of the Tribulation period, not us during this Church Age.

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

You’re blessed if you read, hear, and keep what’s in this prophetic book. When the bible mentions at hand it means any moment which supports the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
