Revelation 6:7 “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.”
So now the fourth cherubim is introducing the fourth horseman.
Revelation 6:8 “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
“And I looked, and behold a pale horse:”
It’s as if the horse is about the drop dead here. Why? Because of the previous 2 horsemen, people are starving to death here, which means the rations that they’re going by are not enough. Not only that, they went through war. So death is coming out.
“and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.”
So death is going to come out and when death comes out, a lot of people are going to die.
“And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword,”
Look back at verse 4, war kills them with sword.
“and with hunger,”
This matches up with verse 5, the famine. We got to realize that when death is coming, it’s because of the war and famine.
“and with death,”
When death is coming out, people are going to die with sword, people are going to die with hunger, and they don’t catch a break, death himself is going to kill them as well. Just because you survive through the famine, you didn’t escape it. When this fourth horsemen comes out, he’ll wipe out the rest.
“and with the beasts of the earth.”
Do you know what that part is? What’s after death? Look back at verse 8, ‘and his name that say on him was Death, and Hell followed with him‘. This is not the fifth seal, we’re still in the fourth seal. In the fourth seal, you got two terrors. Death comes out but hell will follow. Will there be hell on earth? Absolutely right.
So think about this, where is hell? Hell is below the earth. The closest opening we’re ever going to get to hell is when vulcano erupts, and all that lava comes from the centre of the earth, that’s the core of the earth. The Bible says hell is the heart of the earth. There’s going to be a huge eruption out of nowhere and these terrifying creatures are going to come out of nowhere and they’re going to ravage and destroy the remaining people.
Another time you would think about hell opening up would be an earthquake where the Bible talks about Korah, Dathan and Abiram, the earth opened up and they fell into hell. The Bible says it was eternal hellfire that Sodom and Gemorrah was gobbled in.
Matthew 24:7 “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”
‘nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom’: that’s the war.
‘famines’: that’s the third horseman.
‘pestilences’: that’s death.
‘earthquakes’: that could match hell right here.
Here’s another interesting thing, another time we can get close to hell is when we get to the lowest part of the ocean. As we go deeper down the ocean, it gets darker and darker. Not only that, the creatures look weirder and weirder. Hell is a place of outer darkness. The bottom of the ocean is the closest to hell. Jonah was swallowed by a whale but he says when he went down under the ocean, he went down to hell. Something might just fly out of the ocean out of nowhere.
These creatures might come out from any place where there are possible openings of hell.
Matthew 24:8 “All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Jesus said that these are all just the beginning of sorrows. In verse 6, He said that the end is not yet.
So the tribulation is 7 years long and if the first four seals are just the beginning of sorrows, when we hit the middle of tribulation, the Antichrist resurrects and sets up the abomination of desolation in Jerusalem as written in Matthew 24:15 at the last 3.5 years of tribulation. The first four seals is supposed to be just the beginning of sorrows, after that, it’s called the great tribulation, that’s in Matthew 24:21.
Isaiah 34:10-11 “It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.”
Verse 10a, this is hell, matches with Revelation 14.
Isaiah 34:13-14 “And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.”
Verse 13 shows why Satanists have an infatuation with dragons and owls. Those are hell’s creatures.
Verse 14 makes a lot of sense then, Korah, Dathan and Abiram dropped into hell. Sodom and Gomorrah is in a desert area. Bermuda Triangle, and Jonah who went to lowest level of ocean by a whale, close to the opening of hell. It’s interesting that verse 14 talks about these demonic creatures from those areas where there were possible openings of hell.
It’s also interesting that these are winged creatures. Jesus talked about the parable of the fowls of the air coming down and eating the seed. Jesus said they were devils. Revelation 18 plainly says that Babylon is a home and a cage of every foul spirit, devils and fowls of the air, unclean birds.
