אֵ֭לֶיךָ

Unto thee lift I up

נָשָׂ֣אתִי

אֶת

mine eyes

עֵינַ֑י

O thou that dwellest

הַ֝יֹּשְׁבִ֗י

in the heavens

בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

2

הִנֵּ֨ה

Behold as the eyes

עֵ֭ינֵינוּ

of servants

עֲבָדִ֡ים

אֶל

look unto the hand

יַ֪ד

of their masters

אֲֽדוֹנֵיהֶ֗ם

Behold as the eyes

עֵ֭ינֵינוּ

of a maiden

שִׁפְחָה֮

אֶל

look unto the hand

יַ֪ד

of her mistress

גְּבִ֫רְתָּ֥הּ

כֵּ֣ן

Behold as the eyes

עֵ֭ינֵינוּ

אֶל

wait upon the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

our God

אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ

עַ֝֗ד

until that he have mercy

שֶׁיְּחָנֵּֽנוּ׃

Have mercy

חָנֵּ֑נוּ

upon us O LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

Have mercy

חָנֵּ֑נוּ

כִּֽי

upon us for we are exceedingly

רַ֝֗ב

filled

שָׂבַ֥עְנוּ

with contempt

בֽוּז׃

is exceedingly

רַבַּת֮

filled

שָֽׂבְעָה

לָּ֪הּ

Our soul

נַ֫פְשֵׁ֥נוּ

with the scorning

הַלַּ֥עַג

of those that are at ease

הַשַּׁאֲנַנִּ֑ים

and with the contempt

הַ֝בּ֗וּז

לִגְאֵ֥יוֹנִֽים׃
