1
thou hast been favourable
רָצִ֣יתָ
LORD
יְהוָ֣ה
unto thy land
אַרְצֶ֑ךָ
thou hast brought back
שַׁ֝֗בְתָּ
the captivity
שְׁבִ֣ות
of Jacob
יַעֲקֹֽב׃
2
Thou hast forgiven
נָ֭שָׂאתָ
the iniquity
עֲוֹ֣ן
of thy people
עַמֶּ֑ךָ
thou hast covered
כִּסִּ֖יתָ

כָל
all their sin
חַטָּאתָ֣ם
Selah
סֶֽלָה׃
3
Thou hast taken away
אָסַ֥פְתָּ

כָל
all thy wrath
עֶבְרָתֶ֑ךָ
thou hast turned
הֱ֝שִׁיב֗וֹתָ
thyself from the fierceness
מֵחֲר֥וֹן
of thine anger
אַפֶּֽךָ׃
4
Turn
שׁ֭וּבֵנוּ
us O God
אֱלֹהֵ֣י
of our salvation
יִשְׁעֵ֑נוּ
toward us to cease
וְהָפֵ֖ר
and cause thine anger
כַּֽעַסְךָ֣

עִמָּֽנוּ׃
5
with us for ever
הַלְעוֹלָ֥ם
Wilt thou be angry
תֶּֽאֱנַף

בָּ֑נוּ
wilt thou draw out
תִּמְשֹׁ֥ךְ
thine anger
אַ֝פְּךָ֗
generations
וָדֹֽר׃
generations
וָדֹֽר׃
6

הֲֽלֹא

אַ֭תָּה
us again
תָּשׁ֣וּב
Wilt thou not revive
תְּחַיֵּ֑נוּ
that thy people
וְ֝עַמְּךָ֗
may rejoice
יִשְׂמְחוּ

בָֽךְ׃
7
Shew
הַרְאֵ֣נוּ
O LORD
יְהוָ֣ה
us thy mercy
חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ
us thy salvation
וְ֝יֶשְׁעֲךָ֗
and grant
תִּתֶּן

לָֽנוּ׃
8
I will hear
אֶשְׁמְעָ֗ה

מַה
for he will speak
יְדַבֵּ֬ר
what God
הָאֵ֪ל׀
the LORD
יְה֫וָ֥ה

כִּ֤י׀
for he will speak
יְדַבֵּ֬ר
peace
שָׁל֗וֹם

אֶל
unto his people
עַמּ֥וֹ

וְאֶל
and to his saints
חֲסִידָ֑יו

וְֽאַל
but let them not turn again
יָשׁ֥וּבוּ
to folly
לְכִסְלָֽה׃
9

אַ֤ךְ
is nigh
קָר֣וֹב
them that fear
לִירֵאָ֣יו
Surely his salvation
יִשְׁע֑וֹ
may dwell
לִשְׁכֹּ֖ן
him that glory
כָּב֣וֹד
in our land
בְּאַרְצֵֽנוּ׃
10
Mercy
חֶֽסֶד
and truth
וֶאֱמֶ֥ת
are met together
נִפְגָּ֑שׁוּ
righteousness
צֶ֖דֶק
and peace
וְשָׁל֣וֹם
have kissed
נָשָֽׁקוּ׃
11
Truth
אֱ֭מֶת
of the earth
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ
shall spring out
תִּצְמָ֑ח
and righteousness
וְ֝צֶ֗דֶק
from heaven
מִשָּׁמַ֥יִם
shall look down
נִשְׁקָֽף׃
12

גַּם
Yea the LORD
יְ֭הוָה
shall give
תִּתֵּ֥ן
that which is good
הַטּ֑וֹב
and our land
וְ֝אַרְצֵ֗נוּ
shall give
תִּתֵּ֥ן
her increase
יְבוּלָֽהּ׃
13
Righteousness
צֶ֭דֶק
before
לְפָנָ֣יו
shall go
יְהַלֵּ֑ךְ
him and shall set
וְיָשֵׂ֖ם
us in the way
לְדֶ֣רֶךְ
of his steps
פְּעָמָֽיו׃
