to Jerusalem

וּֽשְׁמַעְיָ֤ה

הַנָּבִיא֙

Then came

to Rehoboam

רְחַבְעָ֔ם

and to the princes

וְשָׂרֵ֣י

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֔ה

 

אֲשֶׁר

that were gathered together

נֶֽאֶסְפ֥וּ

to Jerusalem

and said

אָמַ֣ר

 

לָהֶ֜ם

the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

אַתֶּם֙

Ye have forsaken

עָזַ֥בְתִּי

 

אֹתִ֔י

me and therefore have I also

וְאַף

 

אֲנִ֛י

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

you in the hand

בְּיַד

אֶל

came to Shemaiah

שְׁמַעְיָ֧ה׀

saying

לֵאמֹ֛ר

They have humbled

נִכְנְע֖וּ

 

לֹ֣א

themselves therefore I will not destroy

אַשְׁחִיתֵ֑ם

them but I will grant

וְנָֽתַתִּ֨י

 

לָהֶ֤ם

them some

כִּמְעַט֙

deliverance

לִפְלֵיטָ֔ה

 

וְלֹֽא

shall not be poured out

תִתַּ֧ךְ

and my wrath

חֲמָתִ֛י

upon Jerusalem

בִּירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם

Nevertheless they shall be his servants

of the kingdoms

מַמְלְכ֥וֹת

of the countries

הָֽאֲרָצֽוֹת׃
