Speak

לֵאמֹֽר׃

 

כֹּ֣ה

Thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

Ye shall not go up

תַעֲלוּ֩

 

וְלֹא

nor fight

תִלָּ֨חֲמ֜וּ

 

עִם

against your brethren

אֲחֵיכֶ֗ם

and returned

וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ

אִ֣ישׁ

to his house

לְבֵית֔וֹ

 

כִּ֧י

 

מֵֽאִתִּ֛י

נִֽהְיָ֖ה

וְאֹֽצְר֥וֹת

of victual

מַֽאֲכָ֖ל

and of oil

וְשֶׁ֥מֶן

and wine

וָיָֽיִן׃

 

וּבְכָל

And in every several city

וָעִיר֙

he put shields

צִנּ֣וֹת

and spears

וּרְמָחִ֔ים

strong

וַֽיְחַזְּקֵ֖ם

and made them exceeding

לְהַרְבֵּ֣ה

וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙

בְּכָל

that were in all Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

resorted

הִֽתְיַצְּב֥וּ

 

עָלָ֖יו

 

מִכָּל

to him out of all their coasts

גְּבוּלָֽם׃

For the Levites

הַלְוִיִּ֗ם

מִגְרְשֵׁיהֶם֙

וַֽאֲחֻזָּתָ֔ם

 

וַיֵּֽלְכ֥וּ

to Judah

לִֽיהוּדָ֖ה

and Jerusalem

וְלִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

 

כִּֽי

had cast them off

הִזְנִיחָ֤ם

for Jeroboam

יָֽרָבְעָם֙

and his sons

וּבָנָ֔יו

from executing the priest's office

מִכַּהֵ֖ן

unto the LORD

לַֽיהוָֽה׃

And he ordained

וַיַּֽעֲמֶד

 

לוֹ֙

him priests

כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים

for the high places

לַבָּמ֖וֹת

and for the devils

וְלַשְּׂעִירִ֑ים

and for the calves

וְלָֽעֲגָלִ֖ים

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

which he had made

עָשָֽׂה׃

And after

וְאַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם

 

מִכֹּל֙

them out of all the tribes

שִׁבְטֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

such as set

הַנֹּֽתְנִים֙

their hearts

לְבָבָ֔ם

to seek
