אַתָּ֤ה
what seest
רֹאֶה֙
Amos
עָמ֔וֹס
And he said
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר
A basket
כְּל֣וּב
of summer fruit
קָ֑יִץ
And he said
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר
the LORD
יְהוָ֜ה
 
אֵלַ֗י
is come
בָּ֤א
unto me The end
הַקֵּץ֙
 
אֶל
upon my people
עַמִּ֣י
of Israel
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
 
לֹא
I will not again
אוֹסִ֥יף
 
ע֖וֹד
pass
עֲב֥וֹר
 
לֽוֹ׃

shall be howlings
וְהֵילִ֜ילוּ
And the songs
שִׁיר֤וֹת
of the temple
הֵיכָל֙
in that day
בַּיּ֣וֹם
 
הַה֔וּא
saith
נְאֻ֖ם
the Lord
אֲדֹנָ֣י
 
יְהוִ֑ה
there shall be many
רַ֣ב
dead bodies
הַפֶּ֔גֶר
 
בְּכָל
in every place
מָק֖וֹם
they shall cast them forth
הִשְׁלִ֥יךְ
with silence
הָֽס׃

Hear
שִׁמְעוּ
 
זֹ֕את
this O ye that swallow up
הַשֹּׁאֲפִ֖ים
the needy
אֶבְי֑וֹן
even to make
וְלַשְׁבִּ֖ית
 
עֲנִוֵּי
of the land
אָֽרֶץ׃

Saying
לֵאמֹ֗ר
 
מָתַ֞י
be gone
יַעֲבֹ֤ר
When will the new moon
הַחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙
that we may sell
וְנַשְׁבִּ֣ירָה
corn
שֶּׁ֔בֶר
and the sabbath
וְהַשַּׁבָּ֖ת
that we may set forth
וְנִפְתְּחָה
wheat
בָּ֑ר
small
לְהַקְטִ֤ין
making the ephah
אֵיפָה֙
great
וּלְהַגְדִּ֣יל
and the shekel
שֶׁ֔קֶל
and falsifying
וּלְעַוֵּ֖ת
the balances
מֹאזְנֵ֥י
by deceit
מִרְמָֽה׃

That we may buy
לִקְנ֤וֹת
for silver
בַּכֶּ֙סֶף֙
the poor
דַּלִּ֔ים
and the needy
וְאֶבְי֖וֹן
 
בַּעֲב֣וּר
for a pair of shoes
נַעֲלָ֑יִם
the refuse
וּמַפַּ֥ל
of the wheat
בַּ֖ר
yea and sell
נַשְׁבִּֽיר׃

hath sworn
נִשְׁבַּ֥ע
The LORD
יְהוָ֖ה
by the excellency
בִּגְא֣וֹן
of Jacob
יַעֲקֹ֑ב
 
אִם
forget
אֶשְׁכַּ֥ח
Surely I will never
לָנֶ֖צַח
 
כָּל
any of their works
מַעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃

הַ֤עַל
 
זֹאת֙
 
לֹֽא
tremble
תִרְגַּ֣ז
Shall not the land
הָאָ֔רֶץ
for this and every one mourn
וְאָבַ֖ל
 
כָּל
that dwelleth
יוֹשֵׁ֣ב
 
בָּ֑הּ
therein and it shall rise up
וְעָלְתָ֤ה
wholly as a flood
כִּיא֥וֹר
 
כֻּלָּ֔הּ
and it shall be cast out
וְנִגְרְשָׁ֥ה
and drowned
וְנִשְׁקְהָ֖
wholly as a flood
כִּיא֥וֹר
of Egypt
מִצְרָֽיִם׃

וְהָיָ֣ה׀
And it shall come to pass in that day
בְּי֥וֹם
 
הַה֗וּא
saith
נְאֻם֙
the Lord
אֲדֹנָ֣י
GOD
יְהוִ֔ה
to go down
וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י
that I will cause the sun
הַשֶּׁ֖מֶשׁ
at noon
בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם
and I will darken
וְהַחֲשַׁכְתִּ֥י
the earth
לָאָ֖רֶץ
And it shall come to pass in that day
בְּי֥וֹם
in the clear
אֽוֹר׃

And I will turn
וְהָפַכְתִּ֨י
your feasts
חַגֵּיכֶ֜ם
into mourning
כְּאֵ֣בֶל
 
וְכָל
and all your songs
שִֽׁירֵיכֶם֙
into lamentation
לְקִינָ֔ה
and I will bring up
וְהַעֲלֵיתִ֤י
 
עַל
 
כָּל
upon all loins
מָתְנַ֙יִם֙
sackcloth
שָׂ֔ק
 
וְעַל
 
כָּל
upon every head
רֹ֖אשׁ
and baldness
קָרְחָ֑ה
and I will make
וְשַׂמְתִּ֙יהָ֙
into mourning
כְּאֵ֣בֶל
of an only
יָחִ֔יד
son and the end
וְאַחֲרִיתָ֖הּ
day
כְּי֥וֹם
thereof as a bitter
מָֽר׃

הִנֵּ֣ה׀
Behold the days
יָמִ֣ים
come
בָּאִ֗ים
saith
נְאֻם֙
the Lord
אֲדֹנָ֣י
GOD
יְהוִ֔ה
that I will send
וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּ֥י
a famine
רָעָ֤ב
in the land
בָּאָ֑רֶץ
 
לֹֽא
a famine
רָעָ֤ב
of bread
לַלֶּ֙חֶם֙
 
וְלֹֽא
nor a thirst
צָמָ֣א
for water
לַמַּ֔יִם
 
כִּ֣י
 
אִם
but of hearing
לִשְׁמֹ֔עַ
 
אֵ֖ת
the words
דִּבְרֵ֥י
of the LORD
יְהוָֽה׃

And they shall wander
וְנָעוּ֙
from sea
יָ֔ם
 
עַד
from sea
יָ֔ם
and from the north
וּמִצָּפ֖וֹן
 
וְעַד
even to the east
מִזְרָ֑ח
they shall run to and fro
יְשֽׁוֹטְט֛וּ
to seek
לְבַקֵּ֥שׁ
 
אֶת
the word
דְּבַר
of the LORD
יְהוָ֖ה
 
וְלֹ֥א
and shall not find
יִמְצָֽאוּ׃

In that day
בַּיּ֨וֹם
 
הַה֜וּא
faint
תִּ֠תְעַלַּפְנָה
virgins
הַבְּתוּלֹ֧ת
shall the fair
הַיָּפ֛וֹת
and young men
וְהַבַּחוּרִ֖ים
for thirst
בַּצָּמָֽא׃
14
They that swear
הַנִּשְׁבָּעִים֙
by the sin
בְּאַשְׁמַ֣ת
of Samaria
שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן
and say
וְאָמְר֗וּ
liveth
וְחֵ֖י
Thy god
אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙
O Dan
דָּ֔ן
liveth
וְחֵ֖י
and The manner
דֶּ֣רֶךְ
 
בְּאֵֽר
of Beersheba
שָׁ֑בַע
even they shall fall
וְנָפְל֖וּ
 
וְלֹא
and never rise up
יָק֥וּמוּ
 
עֽוֹד׃
