of that prophet

לָדַ֗עַת

whether ye

הֲיִשְׁכֶ֤ם

love

אֹֽהֲבִים֙

 

אֶת

for the LORD

בְּכָל

with all your heart

לְבַבְכֶ֖ם

 

וּבְכָל

and with all your soul

נַפְשְׁכֶֽם׃

אַֽחֲרֵ֨י

תֵּלֵ֖כוּ

and fear

תִירָ֑אוּ

his commandments

מִצְוֹתָ֤יו

his voice

וּבְקֹל֣וֹ

and obey

תִשְׁמָ֔עוּ

 

וְאֹת֥וֹ

and ye shall serve

תַֽעֲבֹ֖דוּ

 

וּב֥וֹ

him and cleave

תִדְבָּקֽוּן׃

And that prophet

וְהַנָּבִ֣יא

 

הַה֡וּא

shall be put to death

יוּמָ֗ת

because he hath spoken

בִנְךָ֙

of thy mother

וַֽאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃

מֵֽאֱלֹהֵ֣י

הָֽעַמִּ֗ים

you nigh

הַקְּרֹבִ֣ים

יוֹסִ֣פוּ

and shall do

לַֽעֲשׂ֗וֹת

כַּדָּבָ֥ר

such wickedness

הָרָ֛ע

 

הַזֶּ֖ה

בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃

 

כִּֽי

If thou shalt hear

תִשְׁמַ֞ע

say in one

בְּאַחַ֣ת

of thy cities

עָרֶ֗יךָ

 

אֲשֶׁר֩

which the LORD

יְהוָ֨ה

thy God

אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ

hath given

נֹתֵ֥ן

 

לְךָ֛

thee to dwell

לָשֶׁ֥בֶת

 

שָׁ֖ם

there saying

לֵאמֹֽר׃

are gone out

יָֽצְא֞וּ

 

אֲנָשִׁ֤ים

the children

בְּנֵֽי

of Belial

בְלִיַּ֙עַל֙

from among

מִקִּרְבֶּ֔ךָ

you and have withdrawn

וַיַּדִּ֛יחוּ

 

אֶת

the inhabitants

יֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י

of their city

עִירָ֖ם

saying

לֵאמֹ֑ר

 

נֵֽלְכָ֗ה

and serve

וְנַֽעַבְדָ֛ה

לֹֽא

יְדַעְתֶּֽם׃

Then shalt thou enquire

וְדָֽרַשְׁתָּ֧

and make search

וְחָֽקַרְתָּ֛

and ask

וְשָֽׁאַלְתָּ֖

diligently

הֵיטֵ֑ב

 

וְהִנֵּ֤ה

and behold if it be truth

אֱמֶת֙

certain

נָכ֣וֹן

and the thing

הַדָּבָ֔ר

is wrought

נֶֽעֶשְׂתָ֛ה

abomination

הַתּֽוֹעֵבָ֥ה

that such

הַזֹּ֖את

among

בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃

And there shall cleave

יִדְבַּ֧ק

to thine hand

בְּיָֽדְךָ֛

מְא֖וּמָה

of the cursed thing

הַחֵ֑רֶם

 

לְמַעַן֩

may turn

יָשׁ֨וּב

that the LORD

יְהוָ֜ה

from the fierceness

מֵֽחֲר֣וֹן

of his anger

אַפּ֗וֹ

and shew

וְנָֽתַן

 

לְךָ֤

thee mercy

רַֽחֲמִים֙

and have compassion

וְרִֽחַמְךָ֣

upon thee and multiply

וְהִרְבֶּ֔ךָ

 

כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר

thee as he hath sworn

נִשְׁבַּ֖ע

unto thy fathers

לַֽאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃

When thou shalt hearken

בְּקוֹל֙

of the LORD

יְהוָ֥ה

אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃

all his commandments

אָֽנֹכִ֥י

מְצַוְּךָ֖

thee this day

הַיּ֑וֹם

לַֽעֲשׂוֹת֙

that which is right

הַיָּשָׁ֔ר
