unto Pharaoh

אֵלָ֗יו

אָמַ֤ר

the LORD

יְהוָה֙

God

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

of the Hebrews

הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים

 

עַד

How long

מָתַ֣י

wilt thou refuse

מֵאַ֔נְתָּ

to humble

לֵֽעָנֹ֖ת

thyself before

מִפָּנָ֑י

go

שַׁלַּ֥ח

me let my people

עַמִּ֖י

that they may serve

וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃

Else

כִּ֛י

 

אִם

if thou refuse

מָאֵ֥ן

 

אַתָּ֖ה

go

לְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ

 

אֶת

to let my people

עַמִּ֑י

 

הִנְנִ֨י

will I bring

מֵבִ֥יא

behold to morrow

מָחָ֛ר

the locusts

אַרְבֶּ֖ה

into thy coast

בִּגְבֻלֶֽךָ׃

And they shall cover

וְכִסָּה֙

 

אֶת

the face

עֵ֣ין

of the earth

הָאָ֑רֶץ

 

וְלֹ֥א

that one cannot be able

יוּכַ֖ל

to see

לִרְאֹ֣ת

יְהוָ֣ה

your God

And Moses

מֹשֶׁ֔ה

with our young

בִּנְעָרֵ֥ינוּ

נֵלֵ֑ךְ

with our sons

בְּבָנֵ֨ינוּ

and with our daughters

וּבִבְנוֹתֵ֜נוּ

with our flocks

בְּצֹאנֵ֤נוּ

and with our herds

וּבִבְקָרֵ֙נוּ֙

 

נֵלֵ֔ךְ

 

כִּ֥י

for we must hold a feast

חַג

unto the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

 

לָֽנוּ׃

And he said

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

 

אֲלֵהֶ֗ם

 

יְהִ֨י

 

כֵ֤ן

unto them Let the LORD

יְהוָה֙

 

עִמָּכֶ֔ם

 

כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר

be so with you as I will let you go

אֲשַׁלַּ֥ח

 

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

 

וְאֶֽת

and your little ones

טַפְּכֶ֑ם

look

רְא֕וּ

 

כִּ֥י

to it for evil

רָעָ֖ה

 

נֶ֥גֶד

Then Pharaoh

פַּרְעֹ֔ה

לִקְרֹ֖א

for Moses

לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה

and Aaron

וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֑ן

and he said

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

I have sinned

חָטָ֛אתִי

against the LORD

לַֽיהוָ֥ה

your God

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֖ם

 

וְלָכֶֽם׃

 

וְעַתָּ֗ה

Now therefore forgive

שָׂ֣א

 

נָ֤א

I pray thee my sin

חַטָּאתִי֙

 

אַ֣ךְ

only this once

הַפַּ֔עַם

and intreat

וְהַעְתִּ֖ירוּ

the LORD

לַֽיהוָ֣ה

your God

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֑ם

that he may take away

וְיָסֵר֙

 

מֵֽעָלַ֔י

 

רַ֖ק

 

אֶת

from me this death

הַמָּ֥וֶת

 

הַזֶּֽה׃

And he went out

וַיֵּצֵ֖א

 

מֵעִ֣ם

from Pharaoh

פַּרְעֹ֑ה

and intreated

וַיֶּעְתַּ֖ר

 

אֶל

the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

turned

וַיַּֽהֲפֹ֨ךְ

And the LORD

יְהוָ֤ה

wind

רֽוּחַ

sea

יָ֣מָּה

strong

חָזָ֣ק

a mighty

מְאֹ֔ד

which took away

וַיִּשָּׂא֙

 

אֶת

locust

אַרְבֶּ֣ה

and cast

וַיִּתְקָעֵ֖הוּ

sea

יָ֣מָּה

them into the Red

סּ֑וּף

there remained

And Moses

מֹשֶׁ֔ה

אַתָּ֛ה

Thou must give

תִּתֵּ֥ן

us

בְּיָדֵ֖נוּ

also sacrifices

זְבָחִ֣ים

and burnt offerings

וְעֹלֹ֑ת

that we may sacrifice

וְעָשִׂ֖ינוּ

unto the LORD

לַֽיהוָ֥ה

our God

אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

 

וְגַם

Our cattle

מִקְנֵ֜נוּ

 

יֵלֵ֣ךְ

 

עִמָּ֗נוּ

 

לֹ֤א

be left behind

תִשָּׁאֵר֙

with us there shall not an hoof

פַּרְסָ֔ה

 

כִּ֚י

 

מִמֶּ֣נּוּ

for thereof must we take

נִקַּ֔ח

not with what we must serve

נַּעֲבֹד֙

for in that day

תָּמֽוּת׃

And Moses

מֹשֶׁ֖ה

כֵּ֣ן

Thou hast spoken

דִּבַּ֑רְתָּ

אֹסִ֥ף

 

ע֖וֹד

I will see

רְא֥וֹת

thy face

פָּנֶֽיךָ׃
