הָעָ֑ם

and they said

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

All that the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

will we do

נַֽעֲשֶׂ֥ה

and be obedient

וְנִשְׁמָֽע׃

and sprinkled

וַיִּזְרֹ֖ק

it on the people

הָעָ֑ם

and said

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

 

הִנֵּ֤ה

Behold the blood

of the covenant

הַבְּרִית֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

hath made

כָּרַ֤ת

which the LORD

יְהוָה֙

 

עִמָּכֶ֔ם

הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

Then went up

וַיַּ֥עַל

Moses

מֹשֶׁ֖ה

and Aaron

וְאַֽהֲרֹ֑ן

וַֽאֲבִיה֔וּא

and seventy

וְשִׁבְעִ֖ים

of the elders

And they saw

וַיִּרְא֕וּ

 

אֵ֖ת

the God

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

 

וְתַ֣חַת

and there was under his feet

רַגְלָ֗יו

work

כְּמַֽעֲשֵׂה֙

as it were a paved

לִבְנַ֣ת

of a sapphire stone

הַסַּפִּ֔יר

and as it were the body

וּכְעֶ֥צֶם

of heaven

הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם

in his clearness

לָטֹֽהַר׃

 

וְאֶל

And upon the nobles

אֲצִילֵי֙

of the children

בְּנֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

 

לֹ֥א

he laid

שָׁלַ֖ח

not his hand

יָד֑וֹ

also they saw

וַֽיֶּחֱזוּ֙

 

אֶת

הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים

and did eat

וַיֹּֽאכְל֖וּ

and drink

וַיִּשְׁתּֽוּ׃

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר

Come up

and be there and I will give

and a law

וְהַתּוֹרָה֙

and commandments

וְהַמִּצְוָ֔ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

that thou mayest teach

לְהֽוֹרֹתָֽם׃

rose up

וַיָּ֣קָם

And Moses
