Woe

to the bloody

הַדָּמִ֑ים

אֲנִ֖י

for fire great

אַגְדִּ֥יל

I will even make the pile

הַמְּדוּרָֽה׃

Heap

הַרְבֵּ֤ה

on wood

הָעֵצִים֙

kindle

הַדְלֵ֣ק

the fire

הָאֵ֔שׁ

consume

הָתֵ֖ם

the flesh

הַבָּשָׂ֑ר

and spice

וְהַרְקַח֙

it well

הַמֶּרְקָחָ֔ה

and let the bones

וְהָעֲצָמ֖וֹת

be burned

יֵחָֽרוּ׃

Then set

וְהַעֲמִידֶ֥הָ

 

עַל

upon the coals

גֶּחָלֶ֖יהָ

it empty

רֵקָ֑ה

 

לְמַ֨עַן

of it may be hot

תֵּחַ֜ם

and may burn

וְחָ֣רָה

thereof that the brass

נְחֻשְׁתָּ֗הּ

of it may be consumed

תִּתֻּ֖ם

that the scum

חֶלְאָתָֽהּ׃

מִמֶּ֙נָּה֙

רַבַּ֣ת

In thy filthiness

is lewdness

yet neither shalt thou mourn

תִסְפֹּד֙

nor weep

תִבְכֶּ֔ה

 

וְל֥וֹא

run down

תָב֖וֹא

neither shall thy tears

דִּמְעָתֶֽךָ׃

to cry

הֵאָנֵ֣ק׀

the tire of thine head

So I spake

וָאֲדַבֵּ֤ר

 

אֶל

unto the people

הָעָם֙

in the morning

בַּבֹּ֖קֶר

died

וַתָּ֥מָת

my wife

אִשְׁתִּ֖י

and at even

בָּעָ֑רֶב

and I did

וָאַ֥עַשׂ

in the morning

בַּבֹּ֖קֶר

 

כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר

as I was commanded

צֻוֵּֽיתִי׃

said

וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ

 

אֵלַ֖י

And the people

הָעָ֑ם

 

הֲלֹֽא

unto me Wilt thou not tell

תַגִּ֥יד

 

לָ֙נוּ֙

 

מָה

 

אֵ֣לֶּה

 

לָּ֔נוּ

 

כִּ֥י

 

אַתָּ֖ה

us what these things are to us that thou doest

עֹשֶֽׂה׃

GOD

הִנְנִ֨י

Behold I will profane

מְחַלֵּ֤ל

 

אֶת

my sanctuary

מִקְדָּשִׁי֙

the excellency

גְּא֣וֹן

of your strength

עֻזְּכֶ֔ם

the desire

מַחְמַ֥ד

of your eyes

עֵֽינֵיכֶ֖ם

pitieth

וּמַחְמַ֣ל

and that which your soul

נַפְשְׁכֶ֑ם

and your sons

וּבְנֵיכֶ֧ם

and your daughters

וּבְנֽוֹתֵיכֶ֛ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

whom ye have left

עֲזַבְתֶּ֖ם

by the sword

בַּחֶ֥רֶב

shall fall

יִפֹּֽלוּ׃

And ye shall do

עָשִׂ֑יתִי

 

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

And ye shall do

עָשִׂ֑יתִי

 

עַל

your lips

שָׂפָם֙

 

לֹ֣א

ye shall not cover

תַעְט֔וּ

the bread

וְלֶ֥חֶם

 

אֲנָשִׁ֖ים

 

לֹ֥א

nor eat

תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃

And your tires

וּפְאֵרֵכֶ֣ם

 

עַל

shall be upon your heads

רָאשֵׁיכֶ֗ם

and your shoes

וְנַֽעֲלֵיכֶם֙

upon your feet

בְּרַגְלֵיכֶ֔ם

 

לֹ֥א

ye shall not mourn

תִסְפְּד֖וּ

 

וְלֹ֣א

nor weep

תִבְכּ֑וּ

but ye shall pine away

וּנְמַקֹּתֶם֙

for your iniquities

בַּעֲוֹנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

and mourn

וּנְהַמְתֶּ֖ם

one

אִ֥ישׁ

toward another

אָחִֽיו׃

 

וְהָיָ֨ה

Thus Ezekiel

יְחֶזְקֵ֤אל

 

לָכֶם֙

is unto you a sign

לְמוֹפֵ֔ת

 

כְּכֹ֥ל

 

אֲשֶׁר

according to all that he hath done

תַּעֲשׂ֑וּ

according to all that he hath done

תַּעֲשׂ֑וּ

and when this cometh

בְּבוֹאָ֕הּ

ye shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם

 

כִּ֥י

 

אֲנִ֖י

that I am the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֥י

וְאַתָּ֣ה

Also thou son

בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם

of man

אָדָ֔ם

 

הֲל֗וֹא

shall it not be in the day

בְּי֨וֹם

when I take

קַחְתִּ֤י

 

מֵהֶם֙

 

אֶת

from them their strength

מָ֣עוּזָּ֔ם

the joy

מְשׂ֖וֹשׂ

of their glory

תִּפְאַרְתָּ֑ם

 

אֶת

the desire

מַחְמַ֤ד

of their eyes

עֵֽינֵיהֶם֙

 

וְאֶת

and that whereupon they set

מַשָּׂ֣א

their minds

נַפְשָׁ֔ם

Also thou son

בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם

and their daughters

וּבְנוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃

in that day

בַּיּ֣וֹם

 

הַה֔וּא

shall come

יָב֥וֹא

That he that escapeth

הַפָּלִ֖יט

 

אֵלֶ֑יךָ

unto thee to cause thee to hear

לְהַשְׁמָע֖וּת

it with thine ears

אָזְנָֽיִם׃

In that day

בַּיּ֣וֹם

 

הַה֗וּא

be opened

יִפָּ֤תַח

shall thy mouth

פִּ֙יךָ֙

 

אֶת

to him which is escaped

הַפָּלִ֔יט

and thou shalt speak

וּתְדַבֵּ֕ר

 

וְלֹ֥א

and be no more dumb

תֵֽאָלֵ֖ם

 

ע֑וֹד

 

וְהָיִ֤יתָ

 

לָהֶם֙

and thou shalt be a sign

לְמוֹפֵ֔ת

unto them and they shall know

וְיָדְע֖וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃
