came unto me saying

פָּנֶ֖יךָ

 

אֶל

toward the mountains

הָרֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

and prophesy

וְהִנָּבֵ֖א

 

אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

And say

אָמַ֣ר

Ye mountains

לֶהָרִ֨ים

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

hear

שִׁמְע֖וּ

the word

דְּבַר

of the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְ֠הוִה

 

כֹּה

And say

אָמַ֣ר

of the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְ֠הוִה

Ye mountains

לֶהָרִ֨ים

and to the hills

וְלַגְּבָע֜וֹת

to the rivers

לָאֲפִיקִ֣ים

and to the valleys

וְלַגֵּֽיאָ֗וֹת

 

הִנְנִ֨י

 

אֲנִ֜י

Behold I even I will bring

מֵבִ֤יא

 

עֲלֵיכֶם֙

a sword

חֶ֔רֶב

upon you and I will destroy

וְאִבַּדְתִּ֖י

your high places

בָּמֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

shall be desolate

וְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙

And your altars

מִזְבְּח֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם

shall be broken

וְנִשְׁבְּר֖וּ

and your images

חַמָּֽנֵיכֶ֑ם

and I will cast down

וְהִפַּלְתִּי֙

your slain

חַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם

men before

לִפְנֵ֖י

your idols

גִּלּוּלֵיכֶֽם׃

And I will lay

וְנָתַתִּ֗י

 

אֶת

the dead carcases

פִּגְרֵי֙

of the children

בְּנֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

before

לִפְנֵ֖י

their idols

גִּלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֑ם

and I will scatter

וְזֵרִיתִי֙

 

אֶת

your bones

עַצְמ֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם

round about

סְבִיב֖וֹת

your altars

מִזְבְּחוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

 

בְּכֹל֙

In all your dwellingplaces

מוֹשְׁב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם

the cities

הֶעָרִ֣ים

may be laid waste

יֶחֶרְב֨וּ

and the high places

וְהַבָּמ֖וֹת

shall be desolate

תִּישָׁ֑מְנָה

 

לְמַעַן֩

may be laid waste

יֶחֶרְב֨וּ

and made desolate

וְיֶאְשְׁמ֜וּ

that your altars

מִזְבְּחֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם

may be broken

וְנִשְׁבְּר֤וּ

and cease

וְנִשְׁבְּתוּ֙

and your idols

גִּלּ֣וּלֵיכֶ֔ם

may be cut down

וְנִגְדְּעוּ֙

and your images

חַמָּ֣נֵיכֶ֔ם

may be abolished

וְנִמְח֖וּ

and your works

מַעֲשֵׂיכֶֽם׃

shall fall

וְנָפַ֥ל

And the slain

חָלָ֖ל

in the midst

בְּתֽוֹכְכֶ֑ם

of you and ye shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

Yet will I leave a remnant

וְהוֹתַרְתִּ֗י

 

בִּהְי֥וֹת

 

לָכֶ֛ם

that ye may have some that shall escape

פְּלִ֥יטֵי

the sword

חֶ֖רֶב

among the nations

בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם

when ye shall be scattered

בְּהִזָּרֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

through the countries

בָּאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

of you shall remember

וְזָכְר֨וּ

And they that escape

פְלִֽיטֵיכֶ֜ם

 

אוֹתִ֗י

me among the nations

בַּגּוֹיִם֮

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

whither they shall be carried captives

נִשְׁבּוּ

 

שָׁם֒

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

because I am broken

נִשְׁבַּ֜רְתִּי

 

אֶת

heart

לִבָּ֣ם

which go a whoring

הַזֹּנ֕וֹת

 

אֲשֶׁר

which hath departed

סָר֙

 

מֵֽעָלַ֔י

 

וְאֵת֙

from me and with their eyes

עֵֽינֵיהֶ֔ם

which go a whoring

הַזֹּנ֕וֹת

after

אַחֲרֵ֖י

their idols

גִּלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֑ם

and they shall lothe

וְנָקֹ֙טּוּ֙

themselves

בִּפְנֵיהֶ֔ם

 

אֶל

for the evils

הָֽרָעוֹת֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

which they have committed

עָשׂ֔וּ

 

לְכֹ֖ל

in all their abominations

תּוֹעֲבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃

And they shall know

וְיָדְע֖וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֣י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

 

לֹ֤א

 

אֶל

in vain

חִנָּם֙

and that I have not said

דִּבַּ֔רְתִּי

that I would do

לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת

 

לָהֶ֖ם

this evil

הָרָעָ֥ה

 

הַזֹּֽאת׃

 

כֹּֽה

Thus saith

וֶֽאֱמָר

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

 

יְהוִ֗ה

Smite

הַכֵּ֨ה

with thine hand

בְכַפְּךָ֜

and stamp

וּרְקַ֤ע

with thy foot

בְּרַגְלְךָ֙

Thus saith

וֶֽאֱמָר

Alas

אָ֔ח

 

אֶ֛ל

 

כָּל

abominations

תּוֹעֲב֥וֹת

for all the evil

רָע֖וֹת

of the house

בֵּ֣ית

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

 

אֲשֶׁ֗ר

by the sword

בַּחֶ֛רֶב

by the famine

בָּרָעָ֥ב

and by the pestilence

וּבַדֶּ֖בֶר

for they shall fall

יִפֹּֽלוּ׃

He that is far off

הָרָח֞וֹק

of the pestilence

בַּדֶּ֣בֶר

shall die

יָמ֑וּת

and he that is near

וְהַקָּרוֹב֙

by the sword

בַּחֶ֣רֶב

shall fall

יִפּ֔וֹל

and he that remaineth

וְהַנִּשְׁאָר֙

and is besieged

וְהַנָּצ֔וּר

by the famine

בָּרָעָ֖ב

shall die

יָמ֑וּת

thus will I accomplish

וְכִלֵּיתִ֥י

my fury

חֲמָתִ֖י

 

בָּֽם׃

Then shall ye know

וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֣י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

בִּֽהְי֣וֹת

when their slain

חַלְלֵיהֶ֗ם

men shall be among

בְּתוֹךְ֙

their idols

גִּלּוּלֵיהֶֽם׃

round about

סְבִיב֖וֹת

their altars

מִזְבְּחֽוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם

 

אֶל֩

 

כָּל

hill

גִּבְעָ֨ה

upon every high

רָמָ֜ה

 

בְּכֹ֣ל׀

in all the tops

רָאשֵׁ֣י

of the mountains

הֶהָרִ֗ים

 

וְתַ֨חַת

 

כָּל

tree

עֵ֤ץ

and under every green

רַֽעֲנָן֙

 

וְתַ֙חַת֙

 

כָּל

oak

אֵלָ֣ה

and under every thick

עֲבֻתָּ֔ה

the place

מְק֗וֹם

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

where they did offer

נָֽתְנוּ

 

שָׁם֙

savour

רֵ֣יחַ

sweet

נִיחֹ֔חַ

 

לְכֹ֖ל

their idols

גִּלּוּלֵיהֶֽם׃

So will I stretch out

וְנָטִ֤יתִי

 

אֶת

my hand

יָדִי֙

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם

upon them and make

וְנָתַתִּ֨י

 

אֶת

the land

הָאָ֜רֶץ

desolate

שְׁמָמָ֤ה

yea more desolate

וּמְשַׁמָּה֙

than the wilderness

מִמִּדְבַּ֣ר

toward Diblath

דִּבְלָ֔תָה

 

בְּכֹ֖ל

in all their habitations

מוֹשְׁבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם

and they shall know

וְיָדְע֖וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃
