וּשְׁפַטְתִּ֖יךְ

thee according to thy ways

כִּדְרָכָ֑יִךְ

and will recompense

וְנָתַתִּ֣י

 

עָלַ֔יִךְ

 

אֵ֖ת

 

כָּל

upon thee all thine abominations

תּוֹעֲבוֹתָֽיִךְ׃

 

וְלֹא

shall not spare

תָח֥וֹס

And mine eye

עֵינִ֛י

 

עָלַ֖יִךְ

 

וְלֹ֣א

thee neither will I have pity

אֶחְמ֑וֹל

 

כִּ֣י

thy ways

דְרָכַ֜יִךְ

 

עָלַ֣יִךְ

but I will recompense

אֶתֵּ֗ן

upon thee and thine abominations

וְתוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙

shall be in the midst

בְּתוֹכֵ֣ךְ

 

תִּֽהְיֶ֔יןָ

of thee and ye shall know

וִידַעְתֶּ֖ם

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

עַתָּ֣ה

Now will I shortly

מִקָּר֗וֹב

pour out

אֶשְׁפּ֤וֹךְ

my fury

חֲמָתִי֙

 

עָלַ֔יִךְ

upon thee and accomplish

וְכִלֵּיתִ֤י

mine anger

אַפִּי֙

 

בָּ֔ךְ

upon thee and I will judge

וּשְׁפַטְתִּ֖יךְ

thee according to thy ways

כִּדְרָכָ֑יִךְ

הַמַּטֶּ֔ה

הַזָּדֽוֹן׃

Violence

הֶחָמָ֥ס׀

is risen up

קָ֖ם

into a rod

לְמַטֵּה

of wickedness

רֶ֑שַׁע

 

לֹא

 

מֵהֶ֞ם

 

וְלֹ֧א

none of them shall remain nor of their multitude

מֵהֲמוֹנָ֛ם

 

וְלֹ֥א

nor of any

מֶהֱמֵהֶ֖ם

 

וְלֹא

of theirs neither shall there be wailing

נֹ֥הַּ

 

בָּהֶֽם׃

הָעֵת֙

הִגִּ֣יעַ

let not the buyer

rejoice

יִשְׂמָ֔ח

nor the seller

וְהַמּוֹכֵ֖ר

mourn

יִתְאַבָּ֑ל

for wrath

חָר֖וֹן

 

אֶל

is upon all the multitude

הֲמוֹנָֽהּ׃

For the seller

הַמּוֹכֵ֗ר

 

אֶל

to that which is sold

הַמִּמְכָּר֙

 

לֹ֣א

shall not return

וְע֥וֹד

the trumpet

בַתָּק֙וֹעַ֙

even to make all ready

וְהָכִ֣ין

וְאֵ֥ין

but none goeth

הֹלֵ֖ךְ

to the battle

לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה

 

כִּ֥י

for my wrath

חֲרוֹנִ֖י

 

אֶל

 

כָּל

is upon all the multitude

הֲמוֹנָֽהּ׃

The sword

בַּחֶ֣רֶב

is without

בַּח֔וּץ

and pestilence

וָדֶ֖בֶר

and the famine

רָעָ֥ב

within

מִבָּ֑יִת

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

he that is in the field

בַּשָּׂדֶה֙

The sword

בַּחֶ֣רֶב

shall die

יָמ֔וּת

 

וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר

and he that is in the city

בָּעִ֔יר

and the famine

רָעָ֥ב

and pestilence

וָדֶ֖בֶר

shall devour

יֹאכֲלֶֽנּוּ׃

But they that escape

וּפָֽלְטוּ֙

of them shall escape

פְּלִ֣יטֵיהֶ֔ם

 

וְהָי֣וּ

 

אֶל

and shall be on the mountains

הֶהָרִ֗ים

like doves

כְּיוֹנֵ֧י

of the valleys

הַגֵּאָי֛וֹת

 

כֻּלָּ֖ם

all of them mourning

הֹמ֑וֹת

every one

אִ֖ישׁ

for his iniquity

בַּעֲוֺנֽוֹ׃

 

כָּל

All hands

הַיָּדַ֖יִם

shall be feeble

תִּרְפֶּ֑ינָה

 

וְכָל

and all knees

בִּרְכַּ֖יִם

 

תֵּלַ֥כְנָה

as water

מָּֽיִם׃

They shall also gird

וְחָגְר֣וּ

themselves with sackcloth

שַׂקִּ֔ים

shall cover

וְכִסְּתָ֥ה

 

אוֹתָ֖ם

and horror

פַּלָּצ֑וּת

 

וְאֶ֤ל

 

כָּל

shall be upon all faces

פָּנִים֙

them and shame

בּוּשָׁ֔ה

 

וּבְכָל

upon all their heads

רָאשֵׁיהֶ֖ם

and baldness

קָרְחָֽה׃

their silver

כַּסְפָּ֨ם

in the streets

בַּחוּצ֣וֹת

They shall cast

יַשְׁלִ֗יכוּ

and their gold

וּזְהָבָ֜ם

shall be removed

לְנִדָּ֣ה

 

יִֽהְיֶה֒

and their gold

וּזְהָבָ֜ם

 

לֹֽא

shall not be able

יוּכַ֣ל

to deliver

לְהַצִּילָ֗ם

them in the day

בְּיוֹם֙

of the LORD

their souls

נַפְשָׁם֙

 

לֹ֣א

they shall not satisfy

יְשַׂבֵּ֔עוּ

their bowels

וּמֵעֵיהֶ֖ם

 

לֹ֣א

neither fill

יְמַלֵּ֑אוּ

 

כִּֽי

because it is the stumblingblock

מִכְשׁ֥וֹל

of their iniquity

עֲוֹנָ֖ם

 

הָיָֽה׃

As for the beauty

וּצְבִ֤י

of his ornament

עֶדְיוֹ֙

it in majesty

לְגָא֣וֹן

he set

שָׂמָ֔הוּ

the images

וְצַלְמֵ֧י

of their abominations

תוֹעֲבֹתָ֛ם

and of their detestable things

שִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖ם

but they made

עָ֣שׂוּ

 

ב֑וֹ

 

עַל

 

כֵּ֛ן

therein therefore have I set

נְתַתִּ֥יו

 

לָהֶ֖ם

it far

לְנִדָּֽה׃

And I will give

וּנְתַתִּ֤יו

it into the hands

בְּיַֽד

of the strangers

הַזָּרִים֙

for a prey

לָבַ֔ז

and to the wicked

וּלְרִשְׁעֵ֥י

of the earth

הָאָ֖רֶץ

for a spoil

לְשָׁלָ֑ל

and they shall pollute

וְחִלְּלֽוּהֻ׃

will I turn

וַהֲסִבּוֹתִ֤י

My face

פָנַי֙

 

מֵהֶ֔ם

also from them and they shall pollute

וְחִלְּלֽוּהָ׃

 

אֶת

my secret

צְפוּנִ֑י

shall enter

וּבָאוּ

 

בָ֥הּ

place for the robbers

פָּרִיצִ֖ים

also from them and they shall pollute

וְחִלְּלֽוּהָ׃

Make

עֲשֵׂ֖ה

a chain

הָֽרַתּ֑וֹק

 

כִּ֣י

for the land

הָאָ֗רֶץ

is full

מָלְאָ֥ה

crimes

מִשְׁפַּ֣ט

of bloody

דָּמִ֔ים

and the city

וְהָעִ֖יר

is full

מָלְאָ֥ה

of violence

חָמָֽס׃

Wherefore I will bring

וְהֵֽבֵאתִי֙

the worst

רָעֵ֣י

of the heathen

גוֹיִ֔ם

and they shall possess

וְיָרְשׁ֖וּ

 

אֶת

their houses

בָּֽתֵּיהֶ֑ם

to cease

וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙

I will also make the pomp

גְּא֣וֹן

of the strong

עַזִּ֔ים

shall be defiled

וְנִחֲל֖וּ

and their holy places

מְקַֽדְשֵׁיהֶֽם׃

Destruction

קְפָ֖דָה

cometh

בָ֑א

and they shall seek

וּבִקְשׁ֥וּ

peace

שָׁל֖וֹם

 

וָאָֽיִן׃

Mischief

הוָֹה֙

 

עַל

Mischief

הוָֹה֙

shall come

תָּב֔וֹא

and rumour

שְׁמוּעָ֖ה

 

אֶל

and rumour

שְׁמוּעָ֖ה

 

תִּֽהְיֶ֑ה

then shall they seek

וּבִקְשׁ֤וּ

a vision

חָזוֹן֙

of the prophet

מִנָּבִ֔יא

but the law

וְתוֹרָה֙

shall perish

תֹּאבַ֣ד

from the priest

מִכֹּהֵ֔ן

and counsel

וְעֵצָ֖ה

from the ancients

מִזְּקֵנִֽים׃

The king

הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ

shall mourn

יִתְאַבָּ֗ל

and the prince

וְנָשִׂיא֙

shall be clothed

יִלְבַּ֣שׁ

with desolation

שְׁמָמָ֔ה

and the hands

וִידֵ֥י

of the people

עַם

of the land

הָאָ֖רֶץ

shall be troubled

תִּבָּהַ֑לְנָה

unto them after their way

מִדַּרְכָּ֞ם

I will do

אֶעֱשֶׂ֤ה

 

אֹתָם֙

and according to their deserts

וּבְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֣ם

will I judge

אֶשְׁפְּטֵ֔ם

them and they shall know

וְיָדְע֖וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃
