my covenant

בְרִיתִ֖י

between me and thee and will multiply

וְאַרְבֶּ֥ה

thee exceedingly

מְאֹֽד׃

And Abram

אַבְרָ֖ם

on his face

אִתּ֛וֹ

and God

with him saying

לֵאמֹֽר׃

As for me

אֲנִ֕י

 

הִנֵּ֥ה

behold my covenant

בְרִיתִ֖י

 

אִתָּ֑ךְ

 

וְהָיִ֕יתָ

is with thee and thou shalt be a father

לְאַ֖ב

of many

הֲמ֥וֹן

nations

גּוֹיִֽם׃

 

וְלֹֽא

any more be called

יִקָּרֵ֥א

 

ע֛וֹד

 

אֶת

Neither shall thy name

שִׁמְךָ֙

Abram

וְהִפְרֵתִ֤י

and I will make

וּנְתַתִּ֖יךָ

nations

לְגוֹיִ֑ם

of thee and kings

וּמְלָכִ֖ים

 

מִמְּךָ֥

And I will establish

וַהֲקִֽמֹתִ֨י

 

אֶת

covenant

לִבְרִ֣ית

וְזַרְעֲךָ֥

אַֽחֲרֶ֖יךָ

in their generations

לְדֹֽרֹתָֽם׃

 

זֹ֣את

This is my covenant

בְּרִיתִ֞י

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

which ye shall keep

תִּשְׁמְר֗וּ

 

בֵּינִי֙

 

וּבֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם

 

וּבֵ֥ין

between me and you and thy seed

זַרְעֲךָ֖

after thee

אַֽחֲרֶ֑יךָ

among you shall be circumcised

הִמּ֥וֹל

 

לָכֶ֖ם

 

כָּל

Every man child

זָכָֽר׃

And ye shall circumcise

וּנְמַלְתֶּ֕ם

 

אֵ֖ת

the flesh

בְּשַׂ֣ר

of your foreskin

עָרְלַתְכֶ֑ם

 

וְהָיָה֙

and it shall be a token

לְא֣וֹת

of the covenant

בְּרִ֔ית

 

בֵּינִ֖י

 

וּבֵֽינֵיכֶֽם׃

שְׁמֹנַ֣ת

וְעָרֵ֣ל׀

And I will bless

וּבֵֽרַכְתִּ֙יהָ֙

 

אֹתָ֔הּ

 

וְגַ֨ם

her and give

נָתַ֧תִּי

 

מִמֶּ֛נָּה

 

לְךָ֖

thee a son

בֵּ֑ן

And I will bless

וּבֵֽרַכְתִּ֙יהָ֙

her and she shall be a mother of nations

Shall a child be born

תֵּלֵֽד׃

and shall Sarah

שָׂרָ֔ה

הֲבַת

said

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

And Abraham

אַבְרָהָ֖ם

unto God

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים

O that

Ishmael

יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל

might live

יִֽחְיֶ֥ה

before thee

לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃

said

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

Sarah

שָׂרָ֣ה

thy wife

אִשְׁתְּךָ֗

shall bear

יֹלֶ֤דֶת

and thou shalt call

וְקָרָ֥אתָ

his name

שְׁמ֖וֹ

Isaac

יִצְחָ֑ק

and I will establish

him and will make him fruitful

וְהִפְרֵיתִ֥י

and will multiply
