upon all their armies

צְבָאָ֑ם

he hath utterly destroyed

הֶחֱרִימָ֖ם

them he hath delivered

נְתָנָ֥ם

them to the slaughter

לַטָּֽבַח׃

Their slain

וְחַלְלֵיהֶ֣ם

also shall be cast out

יֻשְׁלָ֔כוּ

out of their carcases

וּפִגְרֵיהֶ֖ם

shall come up

יַעֲלֶ֣ה

and their stink

בָאְשָׁ֑ם

shall be melted

וְנָמַ֥סּוּ

and the mountains

הָרִ֖ים

with their blood

מִדָּמָֽם׃

shall be dissolved

וְנָמַ֙קּוּ֙

 

כָּל

And all the host

צְבָאָ֣ם

and the heavens

הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם

shall be rolled together

וְנָגֹ֥לּוּ

as a scroll

כַסֵּ֖פֶר

וּכְנֹבֶ֖לֶת

לְמִשְׁפָּֽט׃

The sword

חֶ֣רֶב

for the LORD

לַֽיהוָה֙

is filled

מָלְאָ֥ה

and with the blood

מִדַּ֤ם

it is made fat

הֻדַּ֣שְׁנָה

with fatness

מֵחֵ֖לֶב

and with the blood

מִדַּ֤ם

of lambs

כָּרִים֙

and goats

וְעַתּוּדִ֔ים

with fatness

מֵחֵ֖לֶב

of the kidneys

כִּלְי֣וֹת

of rams

אֵילִ֑ים

 

כִּ֣י

hath a sacrifice

זֶ֤בַח

for the LORD

לַֽיהוָה֙

in Bozrah

בְּבָצְרָ֔ה

slaughter

וְטֶ֥בַח

and a great

גָּד֖וֹל

in the land

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

of Idumea

אֱדֽוֹם׃

shall come down

וְיָרְד֤וּ

And the unicorns

רְאֵמִים֙

 

עִמָּ֔ם

with them and the bullocks

וּפָרִ֖ים

 

עִם

with the bulls

אַבִּירִ֑ים

shall be soaked

וְרִוְּתָ֤ה

and their land

אַרְצָם֙

with blood

מִדָּ֔ם

and their dust

וַעֲפָרָ֖ם

with fatness

מֵחֵ֥לֶב

made fat

יְדֻשָּֽׁן׃

 

כִּ֛י

For it is the day

י֥וֹם

vengeance

נָקָ֖ם

of the LORD'S

לַֽיהוָ֑ה

and the year

שְׁנַ֥ת

of recompences

שִׁלּוּמִ֖ים

for the controversy

לְרִ֥יב

of Zion

צִיּֽוֹן׃

thereof shall be turned

וְנֶהֶפְכ֤וּ

And the streams

נְחָלֶ֙יהָ֙

into pitch

לְזֶ֖פֶת

and the dust

וַעֲפָרָ֖הּ

thereof into brimstone

לְגָפְרִ֑ית

 

וְהָיְתָ֣ה

and the land

אַרְצָ֔הּ

into pitch

לְזֶ֖פֶת

thereof shall become burning

בֹּעֵרָֽה׃

night

לַ֤יְלָה

nor day

וְיוֹמָם֙

 

לֹ֣א

It shall not be quenched

תִכְבֶּ֔ה

for ever

לְעוֹלָ֖ם

thereof shall go up

יַעֲלֶ֣ה

the smoke

עֲשָׁנָ֑הּ

from generation

לָדוֹר֙

from generation

לָדוֹר֙

it shall lie waste

תֶּחֱרָ֔ב

and ever

נְצָחִ֔ים

and ever

נְצָחִ֔ים

 

אֵ֥ין

none shall pass through

עֹבֵ֖ר

 

בָּֽהּ׃

shall possess

וִירֵשׁ֙וּהָ֙

But the cormorant

קָאַ֣ת

and the bittern

וְקִפּ֔וֹד

it the owl

וְיַנְשׁ֥וֹף

also and the raven

וְעֹרֵ֖ב

shall dwell

יִשְׁכְּנוּ

 

בָ֑הּ

in it and he shall stretch out

וְנָטָ֥ה

 

עָלֶ֛יהָ

upon it the line

קַֽו

of confusion

תֹ֖הוּ

and the stones

וְאַבְנֵי

of emptiness

בֹֽהוּ׃

the nobles

חֹרֶ֥יהָ

 

וְאֵֽין

 

שָׁ֖ם

thereof to the kingdom

מְלוּכָ֣ה

They shall call

יִקְרָ֑אוּ

 

וְכָל

but none shall be there and all her princes

שָׂרֶ֖יהָ

 

יִ֥הְיוּ

shall be nothing

אָֽפֶס׃

shall come up

וְעָלְתָ֤ה

in her palaces

אַרְמְנֹתֶ֙יהָ֙

And thorns

סִירִ֔ים

nettles

קִמּ֥וֹשׂ

and brambles

וָח֖וֹחַ

in the fortresses

בְּמִבְצָרֶ֑יהָ

 

וְהָיְתָה֙

thereof and it shall be an habitation

נְוֵ֣ה

of dragons

תַנִּ֔ים

and a court

חָצִ֖יר

for owls

לִבְנ֥וֹת

 

יַעֲנָֽה׃

shall also meet

וּפָגְשׁ֤וּ

The wild beasts of the desert

וְשָׂעִ֖יר

נִקְבְּצ֥וּ

there shall the vultures

דַיּ֖וֹת

אִשָּׁ֥ה

with her mate

רְעוּתָֽהּ׃

Seek ye out

דִּרְשׁ֨וּ

 

מֵֽעַל

סֵ֤פֶר

of the LORD

יְהוָה֙

וּֽקְרָ֔אוּ

בַּקָּ֑ו

they shall possess

יִֽירָשׁ֔וּהָ

from generation

וָד֖וֹר
