of vengeance

לֵאלֹהֵ֑ינוּ

to comfort

לְנַחֵ֖ם

 

כָּל

all that mourn

אֲבֵלִֽים׃

To appoint

לָשׂ֣וּם׀

unto them that mourn

לַאֲבֵלֵ֣י

in Zion

צִיּ֗וֹן

to give

לָתֵת֩

 

לָהֶ֨ם

unto them beauty

פְּאֵ֜ר

 

תַּ֣חַת

for ashes

אֵ֗פֶר

the oil

שֶׁ֤מֶן

of joy

שָׂשׂוֹן֙

for mourning

אֵ֔בֶל

the garment

מַעֲטֵ֣ה

of praise

תְהִלָּ֔ה

 

תַּ֖חַת

for the spirit

ר֣וּחַ

of heaviness

כֵּהָ֑ה

that they might be called

וְקֹרָ֤א

 

לָהֶם֙

אֵילֵ֣י

of righteousness

הַצֶּ֔דֶק

the planting

מַטַּ֥ע

of the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

that he might be glorified

לְהִתְפָּאֵֽר׃

And they shall build

וּבָנוּ֙

wastes

חָרְב֣וֹת

the old

עוֹלָ֔ם

desolations

שֹׁמְמ֖וֹת

the former

רִֽאשֹׁנִ֖ים

they shall raise up

יְקוֹמֵ֑מוּ

and they shall repair

וְחִדְּשׁוּ֙

cities

עָ֣רֵי

the waste

חֹ֔רֶב

desolations

שֹׁמְמ֖וֹת

generations

וָדֽוֹר׃

generations

וָדֽוֹר׃

shall stand

וְעָמְד֣וּ

And strangers

זָרִ֔ים

and feed

וְרָע֖וּ

your flocks

צֹאנְכֶ֑ם

and the sons

וּבְנֵ֣י

of the alien

נֵכָ֔ר

shall be your plowmen

אִכָּרֵיכֶ֖ם

and your vinedressers

וְכֹרְמֵיכֶֽם׃

 

וְאַתֶּ֗ם

the Priests

כֹּהֲנֵ֤י

of the LORD

יְהוָה֙

But ye shall be named

תִּקָּרֵ֔אוּ

you the Ministers

מְשָׁרְתֵ֣י

of our God

אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ

men shall call

יֵאָמֵ֖ר

 

לָכֶ֑ם

the riches

חֵ֤יל

of the Gentiles

גּוֹיִם֙

ye shall eat

תֹּאכֵ֔לוּ

and in their glory

וּבִכְבוֹדָ֖ם

shall ye boast

תִּתְיַמָּֽרוּ׃

 

תַּ֤חַת

For your shame

בָּשְׁתְּכֶם֙

the double

מִשְׁנֶ֣ה

and for confusion

וּכְלִמָּ֖ה

they shall rejoice

יָרֹ֣נּוּ

in their portion

חֶלְקָ֑ם

 

לָכֵ֤ן

therefore in their land

בְּאַרְצָם֙

the double

מִשְׁנֶ֣ה

they shall possess

יִירָ֔שׁוּ

joy

שִׂמְחַ֥ת

everlasting

עוֹלָ֖ם

 

תִּהְיֶ֥ה

 

לָהֶֽם׃

 

כִּ֣י

 

אֲנִ֤י

For I the LORD

יְהוָה֙

love

אֹהֵ֣ב

judgment

מִשְׁפָּ֔ט

I hate

שֹׂנֵ֥א

robbery

גָזֵ֖ל

for burnt offering

בְּעוֹלָ֑ה

and I will direct

וְנָתַתִּ֤י

their work

פְעֻלָּתָם֙

in truth

בֶּאֱמֶ֔ת

covenant

וּבְרִ֥ית

an everlasting

עוֹלָ֖ם

and I will make

אֶכְר֥וֹת

 

לָהֶֽם׃

shall be known

וְנוֹדַ֤ע

among the Gentiles

בַּגּוֹיִם֙

And their seed

זֶ֖רַע

and their offspring

וְצֶאֱצָאֵיהֶ֖ם

among

בְּת֣וֹךְ

the people

הָעַמִּ֑ים

 

כָּל

all that see

רֹֽאֵיהֶם֙

them shall acknowledge

יַכִּיר֔וּם

 

כִּ֛י

 

הֵ֥ם

And their seed

זֶ֖רַע

hath blessed

בֵּרַ֥ךְ

which the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

I will greatly

אָשִׂ֣ישׂ

I will greatly

אָשִׂ֣ישׂ

in the LORD

בַּֽיהוָ֗ה

shall be joyful

תָּגֵ֤ל

my soul

נַפְשִׁי֙

in my God

בֵּֽאלֹהַ֔י

 

כִּ֤י

for he hath clothed

הִלְבִּישַׁ֙נִי֙

me with the garments

בִּגְדֵי

of salvation

יֶ֔שַׁע

me with the robe

מְעִ֥יל

of righteousness

צְדָקָ֖ה

he hath covered

יְעָטָ֑נִי

as a bridegroom

כֶּֽחָתָן֙

decketh

יְכַהֵ֣ן

himself with ornaments

פְּאֵ֔ר

and as a bride

וְכַכַּלָּ֖ה

adorneth

תַּעְדֶּ֥ה

herself with her jewels

כֵלֶֽיהָ׃

 

כִּ֤י

For as the earth

כָאָ֙רֶץ֙

bringeth forth

תּוֹצִ֣יא

her bud

צִמְחָ֔הּ

and as the garden

וּכְגַנָּ֖ה

causeth the things that are sown

זֵרוּעֶ֣יהָ

in it to spring forth

יַצְמִ֤יחַ

 

כֵּ֣ן׀

so the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

 

יְהוִ֗ה

in it to spring forth

יַצְמִ֤יחַ

will cause righteousness

צְדָקָה֙

and praise

וּתְהִלָּ֔ה

 

נֶ֖גֶד

 

כָּל

before all the nations

הַגּוֹיִֽם׃
