for Nebuchadrezzar

נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר

king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶ֖ל

maketh war

נִלְחָ֣ם

 

עָלֵ֑ינוּ

 

אוּלַי֩

will deal

יַעֲשֶׂ֨ה

I pray thee of the LORD

יְהוָ֤ה

 

אוֹתָ֙נוּ֙

 

כְּכָל

with us according to all his wondrous works

נִפְלְאֹתָ֔יו

that he may go up

וְיַעֲלֶ֖ה

 

מֵעָלֵֽינוּ׃

Then said

תֹאמְרֻ֖ן

Jeremiah

יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ

 

אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם

 

כֹּ֥ה

Then said

תֹאמְרֻ֖ן

 

אֶל

to Zedekiah

צִדְקִיָּֽהוּ׃

 

כֹּֽה

Thus saith

אָמַ֨ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֜ה

God

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל

 

הִנְנִ֣י

Behold I will turn back

מֵסֵב֮

 

אֶת

the weapons

כְּלֵ֣י

of war

הַמִּלְחָמָה֮

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

that are in your hands

בְּיֶדְכֶם֒

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

 

אַתֶּ֜ם

wherewith ye fight

נִלְחָמִ֣ים

 

בָּ֗ם

 

אֶת

against the king

מֶ֤לֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶל֙

 

וְאֶת

and against the Chaldeans

הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים

which besiege

הַצָּרִ֣ים

 

עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם

you without

מִח֖וּץ

the walls

לַֽחוֹמָ֑ה

and I will assemble

וְאָסַפְתִּ֣י

 

אוֹתָ֔ם

 

אֶל

them into the midst

תּ֖וֹךְ

of this city

הָעִ֥יר

 

הַזֹּֽאת׃

And I myself will fight

וְנִלְחַמְתִּ֤י

 

אֲנִי֙

 

אִתְּכֶ֔ם

hand

בְּיָ֥ד

against you with an outstretched

נְטוּיָ֖ה

arm

וּבִזְר֣וֹעַ

and with a strong

חֲזָקָ֑ה

even in anger

וּבְאַ֥ף

and in fury

וּבְחֵמָ֖ה

wrath

וּבְקֶ֥צֶף

and in great

גָּדֽוֹל׃

And I will smite

וְהִכֵּיתִ֗י

 

אֶת

the inhabitants

יֽוֹשְׁבֵי֙

of this city

הָעִ֣יר

 

הַזֹּ֔את

 

וְאֶת

both man

הָאָדָ֖ם

 

וְאֶת

and beast

הַבְּהֵמָ֑ה

pestilence

בְּדֶ֥בֶר

of a great

גָּד֖וֹל

they shall die

יָמֻֽתוּ׃

And afterward

וְאַחֲרֵי

 

כֵ֣ן

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֡ה

I will deliver

אֶתֵּ֣ן

 

אֶת

Zedekiah

צִדְקִיָּ֣הוּ

king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֣ה

 

וְאֶת

and his servants

עֲבָדָ֣יו׀

 

וְאֶת

and the people

הָעָ֡ם

 

וְאֶת

and such as are left

הַנִּשְׁאָרִים֩

in this city

בָּעִ֨יר

 

הַזֹּ֜את

from the pestilence

הַדֶּ֣בֶר׀

from the sword

and from the famine

הָרָעָ֗ב

he shall not spare

עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם

 

וְלֹ֥א

them neither have pity

יַחְמֹ֖ל

 

וְלֹ֥א

nor have mercy

יְרַחֵֽם׃

 

וְאֶל

And unto this people

הָעָ֤ם

 

הַזֶּה֙

Thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

 

כֹּ֖ה

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

 

הִנְנִ֤י

Behold I set

נֹתֵן֙

before

לִפְנֵיכֶ֔ם

 

אֶת

and the way

דֶּ֥רֶךְ

of life

הַחַיִּ֖ים

 

וְאֶת

and the way

דֶּ֥רֶךְ

of death

הַמָּֽוֶת׃

He that abideth

הַיֹּשֵׁב֙

in this city

בָּעִ֣יר

 

הַזֹּ֔את

shall die

יָמ֕וּת

by the sword

בַּחֶ֖רֶב

and by the famine

וּבָרָעָ֣ב

and by the pestilence

וּבַדָּ֑בֶר

but he that goeth out

וְהַיּוֹצֵא֩

and falleth

וְנָפַ֨ל

 

עַל

to the Chaldeans

הַכַּשְׂדִּ֜ים

that besiege

הַצָּרִ֤ים

 

עֲלֵיכֶם֙

you he shall live

יְחָיָ֔ה

 

וְהָֽיְתָה

 

לּ֥וֹ

and his life

נַפְשׁ֖וֹ

shall be unto him for a prey

לְשָׁלָֽל׃

 

כִּ֣י

For I have set

שַׂ֣מְתִּי

my face

פָ֠נַי

against this city

בָּעִ֨יר

 

הַזֹּ֧את

for evil

לְרָעָ֛ה

 

וְלֹ֥א

and not for good

לְטוֹבָ֖ה

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

into the hand

בְּיַד

of the king

מֶ֤לֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶל֙

it shall be given

תִּנָּתֵ֔ן

and he shall burn

וּשְׂרָפָ֖הּ

it with fire

בָּאֵֽשׁ׃

And touching the house

וּלְבֵית֙

of the king

מֶ֣לֶךְ

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֔ה

say Hear

שִׁמְע֖וּ

ye the word

דְּבַר

of the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

O house

בֵּ֣ית

of David

דָּוִ֗ד

 

כֹּ֚ה

thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

Execute

דִּ֤ינוּ

in the morning

לַבֹּ֙קֶר֙

judgment

מִשְׁפָּ֔ט

and deliver

וְהַצִּ֥ילוּ

him that is spoiled

גָז֖וּל

out of the hand

מִיַּ֣ד

of the oppressor

עוֹשֵׁ֑ק

 

פֶּן

go out

תֵּצֵ֨א

like fire

כָאֵ֜שׁ

lest my fury

חֲמָתִ֗י

and burn

וּבָעֲרָה֙

 

וְאֵ֣ין

that none can quench

מְכַבֶּ֔ה

it because

מִפְּנֵ֖י

of the evil

רֹ֥עַ

of your doings

מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃

 

הִנְנִ֨י

 

אֵלַ֜יִךְ

Behold I am against thee O inhabitant

יֹשֶׁ֧בֶת

of the valley

הָעֵ֛מֶק

and rock

צ֥וּר

of the plain

הַמִּישֹׁ֖ר

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

which say

הָאֹֽמְרִים֙

 

מִֽי

Who shall come down

יֵחַ֣ת

 

עָלֵ֔ינוּ

 

וּמִ֥י

against us or who shall enter

יָב֖וֹא

into our habitations

בִּמְעוֹנוֹתֵֽינוּ׃

But I will punish

וּפָקַדְתִּ֧י

 

עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם

you according to the fruit

כִּפְרִ֥י

of your doings

מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

and I will kindle

וְהִצַּ֤תִּי

a fire

אֵשׁ֙

in the forest

בְּיַעְרָ֔הּ

thereof and it shall devour

וְאָכְלָ֖ה

 

כָּל

all things round about

סְבִיבֶֽיהָ׃
