him in the stocks
הַמַּהְפֶּ֗כֶת
 
אֲשֶׁ֨ר
gate
בְּשַׁ֤עַר
of Benjamin
בִּנְיָמִן֙
that were in the high
הָֽעֶלְי֔וֹן
 
אֲשֶׁ֖ר
which was by the house
בְּבֵ֥ית
of the LORD
יְהוָֽה׃

And it came to pass on the morrow
מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת
brought forth
וַיֹּצֵ֥א

Then said

כֹ֣ה
For thus saith
אָמַ֣ר
the LORD
יְהוָ֡ה
 
הִנְנִי֩
Behold I will make
אֶתֵּן֙
thee a terror
לְמָג֜וֹר
 
לְךָ֣
 
וּלְכָל
to thyself and to all thy friends
אֹהֲבֶ֗יךָ
and they shall fall
וְנָֽפְל֛וּ
by the sword
בֶּחָֽרֶב׃
of their enemies
אֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם
and thine eyes
וְעֵינֶ֣יךָ
shall behold
רֹא֑וֹת
 
וְאֶת
 
כָּל
all Judah
יְהוּדָ֗ה
Behold I will make
אֶתֵּן֙
into the hand
בְּיַ֣ד
of the king
מֶֽלֶךְ
into Babylon
בָּבֶ֖לָה
and he shall carry them captive
וְהִגְלָ֥ם
into Babylon
בָּבֶ֖לָה
and shall slay
וְהִכָּ֥ם
by the sword
בֶּחָֽרֶב׃

Moreover I will deliver
אֶתֵּן֙
 
אֶת
 
כָּל
all the strength
חֹ֙סֶן֙
of this city
הָעִ֣יר
 
הַזֹּ֔את
 
וְאֶת
 
כָּל
and all the labours
יְגִיעָ֖הּ
 
וְאֶת
 
כָּל
thereof and all the precious things
יְקָרָ֑הּ
 
וְאֵ֨ת
 
כָּל
thereof and all the treasures
אוֹצְר֜וֹת
of the kings
מַלְכֵ֣י
of Judah
יְהוּדָ֗ה
Moreover I will deliver
אֶתֵּן֙
into the hand
בְּיַ֣ד
of their enemies
אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם
which shall spoil
וּבְזָזוּם֙
them and take
וּלְקָח֔וּם
them and carry
וֶהֱבִיא֖וּם
them to Babylon
בָּבֶֽלָה׃

וְאַתָּ֣ה
And thou Pashur
פַשְׁח֗וּר
 
וְכֹל֙
and all that dwell
יֹשְׁבֵ֣י
in thine house
בֵיתֶ֔ךָ
 
תֵּלְכ֖וּ
into captivity
בַּשֶּׁ֑בִי
to Babylon
וּבָבֶ֣ל
and thou shalt come
תָּב֗וֹא
 
וְשָׁ֤ם
and there thou shalt die
תָּמוּת֙
 
וְשָׁ֣ם
and shalt be buried
תִּקָּבֵ֔ר
 
אַתָּה֙
 
וְכָל
there thou and all thy friends
אֹ֣הֲבֶ֔יךָ
 
אֲשֶׁר
to whom thou hast prophesied
נִבֵּ֥אתָ
 
לָהֶ֖ם
lies
בַּשָּֽׁקֶר׃

me and I was deceived
וָֽאֶפָּ֔ת
O LORD
יְהוָה֙
me and I was deceived
וָֽאֶפָּ֔ת
thou art stronger
חֲזַקְתַּ֖נִי
than I and hast prevailed
וַתּוּכָ֑ל
 
הָיִ֤יתִי
I am in derision
לִשְׂחוֹק֙
 
כָּל
daily
הַיּ֔וֹם
 
כֻּלֹּ֖ה
every one mocketh
לֹעֵ֥ג
 
לִֽי׃

For since
מִדֵּ֤י
I spake
אֲדַבֵּר֙
I cried out
אֶזְעָ֔ק
violence
חָמָ֥ס
and spoil
וָשֹׁ֖ד
I cried
אֶקְרָ֑א
 
כִּֽי
 
הָיָ֨ה
because the word
דְבַר
of the LORD
יְהוָ֥ה
 
לִ֛י
was made a reproach
לְחֶרְפָּ֥ה
unto me and a derision
וּלְקֶ֖לֶס
 
כָּל
daily
הַיּֽוֹם׃

Then I said
וְאָמַרְתִּ֣י
 
לֹֽא
I will not make mention
אֶזְכְּרֶ֗נּוּ
 
וְלֹֽא
of him nor speak
אֲדַבֵּ֥ר
 
עוֹד֙
any more in his name
בִּשְׁמ֔וֹ
 
וְהָיָ֤ה
But his word was in mine heart
בְלִבִּי֙
fire
כְּאֵ֣שׁ
as a burning
בֹּעֶ֔רֶת
shut up
עָצֻ֖ר
in my bones
בְּעַצְמֹתָ֑י
and I was weary
וְנִלְאֵ֥יתִי
with forbearing
כַּֽלְכֵ֖ל
 
וְלֹ֥א
and I could
אוּכָֽל׃

כִּ֣י
For I heard
שָׁמַ֜עְתִּי
the defaming
דִּבַּ֣ת
of many
רַבִּים֮
fear
מָג֣וֹר
on every side
מִסָּבִיב֒
Report
וְנַגִּידֶ֔נּוּ
Report
וְנַגִּידֶ֔נּוּ
 
כֹּ֚ל
it All my familiars
אֱנ֣וֹשׁ
 
שְׁלֹמִ֔י
watched
שֹׁמְרֵ֖י
 
צַלְעִ֑י
 
אוּלַ֤י
saying Peradventure he will be enticed
יְפֻתֶּה֙
and we shall prevail
וְנ֣וּכְלָה
 
ל֔וֹ
against him and we shall take
וְנִקְחָ֥ה
our revenge
נִקְמָתֵ֖נוּ
 
מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃

But the LORD
וַֽיהוָ֤ה
 
אוֹתִי֙
is with me as a mighty
כְּגִבּ֣וֹר
terrible one
עָרִ֔יץ
 
עַל
 
כֵּ֛ן
therefore my persecutors
רֹדְפַ֥י
shall stumble
יִכָּשְׁל֖וּ
 
וְלֹ֣א
and they shall not prevail
יֻכָ֑לוּ
ashamed
בֹּ֤שׁוּ
they shall be greatly
מְאֹד֙
 
כִּֽי
 
לֹ֣א
for they shall not prosper
הִשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ
confusion
כְּלִמַּ֥ת
their everlasting
עוֹלָ֖ם
 
לֹ֥א
shall never be forgotten
תִשָּׁכֵֽחַ׃

But O LORD
וַיהוָ֤ה
of hosts
צְבָאוֹת֙
that triest
בֹּחֵ֣ן
the righteous
צַדִּ֔יק
and seest
אֶרְאֶ֤ה
the reins
כְלָי֖וֹת
and the heart
וָלֵ֑ב
and seest
אֶרְאֶ֤ה
thy vengeance
נִקְמָֽתְךָ֙
 
מֵהֶ֔ם
 
כִּ֥י
 
אֵלֶ֖יךָ
on them for unto thee have I opened
גִּלִּ֥יתִי
 
אֶת
my cause
רִיבִֽי׃

שִׁ֚ירוּ
unto the LORD
יְהוָ֑ה
praise
הַֽלְל֖וּ
 
אֶת
unto the LORD
יְהוָ֑ה
 
כִּ֥י
for he hath delivered
הִצִּ֛יל
 
אֶת
the soul
נֶ֥פֶשׁ
of the poor
אֶבְי֖וֹן
from the hand
מִיַּ֥ד
of evildoers
מְרֵעִֽים׃

אָר֣וּר
be the day

אֲשֶׁ֥ר
bare
יְלָדַ֥תְנִי
 
בּ֑וֹ

wherein my mother
אִמִּ֖י
 
אַל
 
יְהִ֥י
me be blessed
בָרֽוּךְ׃

Cursed
אָר֣וּר
be the man
הָאִ֗ישׁ
 
אֲשֶׁ֨ר
who brought tidings
בִּשַּׂ֤ר
 
אֶת
to my father
אָבִי֙
saying
לֵאמֹ֔ר
is born
יֻֽלַּד
 
לְךָ֖
child
בֵּ֣ן
A man
זָכָ֑ר
 
שַׂמֵּ֖חַ
 
שִׂמֳּחָֽהוּ׃

וְהָיָה֙
And let that man
הָאִ֣ישׁ
 
הַה֔וּא
be as the cities
כֶּֽעָרִ֛ים
 
אֲשֶׁר
overthrew
הָפַ֥ךְ
which the LORD
יְהוָ֖ה
 
וְלֹ֣א
and repented
נִחָ֑ם
not and let him hear
וְשָׁמַ֤ע
the cry
זְעָקָה֙
in the morning
בַּבֹּ֔קֶר
and the shouting
וּתְרוּעָ֖ה
at noontide
בְּעֵ֥ת
 
צָהֳרָֽיִם׃

אֲשֶׁ֥ר
 
לֹא
Because he slew
מוֹתְתַ֖נִי
and her womb
וְרַחְמָ֖הֿ
 
וַתְּהִי
 
לִ֤י
or that my mother
אִמִּי֙
might have been my grave
קִבְרִ֔י
and her womb
וְרַחְמָ֖הֿ
great
הֲרַ֥ת
to be always
עוֹלָֽם׃

לָ֤מָּה
 
זֶּה֙
out of the womb
מֵרֶ֣חֶם
Wherefore came I forth
יָצָ֔אתִי
to see
לִרְא֥וֹת
labour
עָמָ֖ל
and sorrow
וְיָג֑וֹן
should be consumed
וַיִּכְל֥וּ
with shame
בְּבֹ֖שֶׁת
that my days
יָמָֽי׃
