For lo the days

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

and I will cause them to return

וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֗ים

 

אֶת

the captivity

שְׁב֨וּת

of my people

עַמִּ֧י

Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל

and Judah

וִֽיהוּדָ֖ה

saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

and I will cause them to return

וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֗ים

 

אֶל

to the land

הָאָ֛רֶץ

 

אֲשֶׁר

that I gave

נָתַ֥תִּי

to their fathers

לַאֲבוֹתָ֖ם

and they shall possess

וִֽירֵשֽׁוּהָ׃

 

וְאֵ֣לֶּה

and concerning Judah

יְהוּדָֽה׃

 

כִּי

 

כֹה֙

For thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

a voice

ק֥וֹל

of trembling

חֲרָדָ֖ה

We have heard

שָׁמָ֑עְנוּ

of fear

פַּ֖חַד

 

וְאֵ֥ין

and not of peace

שָׁלֽוֹם׃

Ask

שַׁאֲלוּ

 

נָ֣א

wherefore do I see

רָאִ֨יתִי

 

אִם

as a woman in travail

כַּיּ֣וֹלֵדָ֔ה

whether a man

זָכָ֑ר

 

מַדּוּעַ֩

wherefore do I see

רָאִ֨יתִי

 

כָל

every man

גֶּ֜בֶר

with his hands

יָדָ֤יו

 

עַל

on his loins

חֲלָצָיו֙

as a woman in travail

כַּיּ֣וֹלֵדָ֔ה

are turned

וְנֶהֶפְכ֥וּ

 

כָל

and all faces

פָּנִ֖ים

into paleness

לְיֵרָקֽוֹן׃

Alas

ה֗וֹי

 

כִּ֥י

is great

גָד֛וֹל

for that day

הַיּ֥וֹם

 

הַה֖וּא

so that

מֵאַ֣יִן

 

כָּמֹ֑הוּ

none is like it it is even the time

וְעֵֽת

trouble

צָרָ֥ה

 

הִיא֙

of Jacob's

לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב

 

וּמִמֶּ֖נָּה

but he shall be saved

יִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃

 

וְהָיָה֩

For it shall come to pass in that day

בַיּ֨וֹם

 

הַה֜וּא

saith

נְאֻ֣ם׀

the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

of hosts

צְבָא֗וֹת

that I will break

אֶשְׁבֹּ֤ר

his yoke

עֻלּוֹ֙

 

מֵעַ֣ל

from off thy neck

צַוָּארֶ֔ךָ

thy bonds

וּמוֹסְרוֹתֶ֖יךָ

and will burst

אֲנַתֵּ֑ק

 

וְלֹא

shall no more serve

יַעַבְדוּ

 

ב֥וֹ

 

ע֖וֹד

and strangers

זָרִֽים׃

But they shall serve

וְעָ֣בְד֔וּ

 

אֵ֖ת

the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

their God

אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם

 

וְאֵת֙

and David

דָּוִ֣ד

their king

מַלְכָּ֔ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

whom I will raise up

אָקִ֖ים

 

לָהֶֽם׃

 

וְאַתָּ֡ה

 

אַל

Therefore fear

תִּירָא֩

thou not O my servant

עַבְדִּ֨י

Jacob

יַעֲקֹ֛ב

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָֹה֙

 

וְאַל

neither be dismayed

תֵּחַ֣ת

O Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

 

כִּ֠י

 

הִנְנִ֤י

for lo I will save

מוֹשִֽׁיעֲךָ֙

thee from afar

מֵֽרָח֔וֹק

 

וְאֶֽת

and thy seed

זַרְעֲךָ֖

from the land

מֵאֶ֣רֶץ

of their captivity

שִׁבְיָ֑ם

shall return

וְשָׁ֧ב

Jacob

יַעֲקֹ֛ב

and shall be in rest

וְשָׁקַ֥ט

and be quiet

וְשַׁאֲנַ֖ן

 

וְאֵ֥ין

and none shall make him afraid

מַחֲרִֽיד׃

 

כִּֽי

 

אִתְּךָ֥

 

אֲנִ֛י

For I am with thee saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

to save

לְהֽוֹשִׁיעֶ֑ךָ

 

כִּי֩

thee though I make

אֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה

a full end

כָלָ֔ה

 

בְּכָֽל

of all nations

הַגּוֹיִ֣ם׀

 

אֲשֶׁ֧ר

whither I have scattered

הֲפִצוֹתִ֣יךָ

 

שָּׁ֗ם

 

אַ֤ךְ

 

אֹֽתְךָ֙

 

לֹֽא

thee though I make

אֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה

a full end

כָלָ֔ה

of thee but I will correct

וְיִסַּרְתִּ֙יךָ֙

thee in measure

לַמִּשְׁפָּ֔ט

and will not leave thee altogether

אֲנַקֶּֽךָּ׃

 

לֹ֥א

and will not leave thee altogether

For thus saith

the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

is incurable

אָנ֣וּשׁ

Thy bruise

לְשִׁבְרֵ֑ךְ

is grievous

נַחְלָ֖ה

and thy wound

מַכָּתֵֽךְ׃

 

אֵֽין

There is none to plead

דָּ֥ן

thy cause

דִּינֵ֖ךְ

that thou mayest be bound up

לְמָז֑וֹר

medicines

רְפֻא֥וֹת

thou hast no healing

תְּעָלָ֖ה

 

אֵ֥ין

 

לָֽךְ׃

 

כָּל

All thy lovers

מְאַהֲבַ֣יִךְ

have forgotten

שְׁכֵח֔וּךְ

 

אוֹתָ֖ךְ

 

לֹ֣א

thee they seek

יִדְרֹ֑שׁוּ

 

כִּי֩

thee with the wound

מַכַּ֨ת

of an enemy

אוֹיֵ֤ב

thee not for I have wounded

הִכִּיתִיךְ֙

with the chastisement

מוּסַ֣ר

of a cruel one

אַכְזָרִ֔י

 

עַ֚ל

for the multitude

רֹ֣ב

of thine iniquity

עֲוֹנֵ֔ךְ

were increased

עָצְמ֖וּ

because thy sins

חַטֹּאתָֽיִךְ׃

Why criest

thou for thine affliction

שִׁבְרֵ֔ךְ

is incurable

thy sorrow

For I will restore

אַעֲלֶ֨ה

health

אֲרֻכָ֥ה

 

לָ֛ךְ

thee of thy wounds

וּמִמַּכּוֹתַ֥יִךְ

unto thee and I will heal

אֶרְפָּאֵ֖ךְ

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

 

כִּ֤י

thee an Outcast

נִדָּחָה֙

because they called

קָ֣רְאוּ

 

לָ֔ךְ

saying This is Zion

צִיּ֣וֹן

 

הִ֔יא

whom no man seeketh after

דֹּרֵ֖שׁ

 

אֵ֥ין

 

לָֽהּ׃

 

כֹּ֣ה׀

Thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

הִנְנִי

Behold I will bring again

שָׁב֙

the captivity

שְׁבוּת֙

tents

אָהֳלֵ֣י

of Jacob's

יַֽעֲק֔וֹב

on his dwellingplaces

וּמִשְׁכְּנֹתָ֖יו

and have mercy

אֲרַחֵ֑ם

shall be builded

וְנִבְנְתָ֥ה

and the city

עִיר֙

 

עַל

upon her own heap

תִּלָּ֔הּ

and the palace

וְאַרְמ֖וֹן

 

עַל

after the manner

מִשְׁפָּט֥וֹ

shall remain

יֵשֵֽׁב׃

And out of them shall proceed

וְיָצָ֥א

 

מֵהֶ֛ם

thanksgiving

תּוֹדָ֖ה

and the voice

וְק֣וֹל

of them that make merry

מְשַׂחֲקִ֑ים

and I will multiply

וְהִרְבִּתִים֙

 

וְלֹ֣א

them and they shall not be few

יִמְעָ֔טוּ

I will also glorify

וְהִכְבַּדְתִּ֖ים

 

וְלֹ֥א

them and they shall not be small

יִצְעָֽרוּ׃

 

וְהָי֤וּ

Their children

בָנָיו֙

also shall be as aforetime

כְּקֶ֔דֶם

and their congregation

וַעֲדָת֖וֹ

before

לְפָנַ֣י

shall be established

תִּכּ֑וֹן

me and I will punish

וּפָ֣קַדְתִּ֔י

 

עַ֖ל

 

כָּל

all that oppress

לֹחֲצָֽיו׃

 

וְהָיָ֨ה

And their nobles

אַדִּיר֜וֹ

 

מִמֶּ֗נּוּ

shall be of themselves and their governor

וּמֹֽשְׁלוֹ֙

from the midst

מִקִּרְבּ֣וֹ

shall proceed

יֵצֵ֔א

of them and I will cause him to draw near

וְהִקְרַבְתִּ֖יו

and he shall approach

לָגֶ֥שֶׁת

 

אֵלָ֑י

 

כִּי֩

 

מִ֨י

 

הוּא

 

זֶ֜ה

unto me for who is this that engaged

עָרַ֧ב

 

אֶת

his heart

לִבּ֛וֹ

and he shall approach

לָגֶ֥שֶׁת

unto me saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

וִהְיִ֥יתֶם

And ye shall be my people

לְעָ֑ם

 

וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י

 

אֶהְיֶ֥ה

 

לָכֶ֖ם

and I will be your God

לֵאלֹהִֽים׃

 

הִנֵּ֣ה׀

Behold the whirlwind

סַ֖עַר

of the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

with fury

חֵמָה֙

goeth forth

יָֽצְאָ֔ה

Behold the whirlwind

סַ֖עַר

a continuing

מִתְגּוֹרֵ֑ר

 

עַ֛ל

upon the head

רֹ֥אשׁ

of the wicked

רְשָׁעִ֖ים

it shall fall with pain

יָחֽוּל׃

 

לֹ֣א

shall not return

יָשׁ֗וּב

The fierce

חֲרוֹן֙

anger

אַף

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

עַד

until he have done

עֲשֹׂת֥וֹ

 

וְעַד

it and until he have performed

הֲקִימ֖וֹ

the intents

מְזִמּ֣וֹת

of his heart

לִבּ֑וֹ

in the latter

בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית

days

הַיָּמִ֖ים

ye shall consider

תִּתְבּ֥וֹנְנוּ
