ye houses

and dwell

in them and plant

וְנִטְע֣וּ

gardens

גַנּ֔וֹת

and eat

וְאִכְל֖וּ

Let not your prophets

נְבִֽיאֵיכֶ֥ם

 

אֲשֶׁר

that be in the midst

בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֖ם

and your diviners

וְקֹֽסְמֵיכֶ֑ם

 

וְאַֽל

you neither hearken

תִּשְׁמְעוּ֙

 

אֶל

to your dreams

חֲלֹמֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

 

אַתֶּ֖ם

which ye cause to be dreamed

מַחְלְמִֽים׃

 

כִּ֣י

falsely

בְשֶׁ֔קֶר

 

הֵ֛ם

For they prophesy

נִבְּאִ֥ים

 

לָכֶ֖ם

unto you in my name

בִּשְׁמִ֑י

 

לֹ֥א

I have not sent

שְׁלַחְתִּ֖ים

them saith

נְאֻם

I will visit

אֶפְקֹ֣ד

 

אֶתְכֶ֑ם

you and perform

וַהֲקִמֹתִ֤י

 

עֲלֵיכֶם֙

 

אֶת

דְּבָרִ֣י

my good

הַטּ֔וֹב

toward you in causing you to return

לְהָשִׁ֣יב

 

אֶתְכֶ֔ם

 

אֶל

to this place

For I know

that I think

עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם

toward you saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

the thoughts

מַחְשְׁב֤וֹת

of peace

שָׁלוֹם֙

 

וְלֹ֣א

and not of evil

לְרָעָ֔ה

to give

לָתֵ֥ת

 

לָכֶ֖ם

end

אַחֲרִ֥ית

you an expected

וְתִקְוָֽה׃

Then shall ye call

וּקְרָאתֶ֤ם

 

אֹתִי֙

upon me and ye shall go

וַֽהֲלַכְתֶּ֔ם

and pray

וְהִתְפַּלַּלְתֶּ֖ם

 

אֵלָ֑י

unto me and I will hearken

וְשָׁמַעְתִּ֖י

 

אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃

And ye shall seek

וּבִקַּשְׁתֶּ֥ם

 

אֹתִ֖י

me and find

וּמְצָאתֶ֑ם

 

כִּ֥י

me when ye shall search

תִדְרְשֻׁ֖נִי

 

בְּכָל

for me with all your heart

לְבַבְכֶֽם׃

And I will be found

וְנִמְצֵ֣אתִי

 

לָכֶם֮

of you saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

and I will bring you again

וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֣י

 

אֶת

your captivity

שְׁביּתְכֶ֗ם

and I will gather

וְקִבַּצְתִּ֣י

 

אֶ֠תְכֶם

you from all the nations

הַגּוֹיִ֞ם

 

וּמִכָּל

and from all the places

הַ֨מָּק֔וֹם

whither I have driven

הִדַּ֧חְתִּי

שָׁ֖ם

of you saith

and I will bring you again

that dwelleth

in this city

בָּעִ֣יר

 

הַזֹּ֑את

and of your brethren

אֲחֵיכֶ֕ם

לֹֽא

that are not gone forth

יָצְא֥וּ

 

אִתְּכֶ֖ם

with you into captivity

בַּגּוֹלָֽה׃

Thus saith

אָמַר֙

the LORD

הִנְנִי֙

Behold I will send

מְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ

 

בָּ֔ם

 

אֶת

upon them the sword

הַחֶ֖רֶב

 

אֶת

the famine

הָרָעָ֣ב

 

וְאֶת

and the pestilence

הַדָּ֑בֶר

and will make

וְנָתַתִּ֣י

 

אוֹתָ֗ם

them like vile

כַּתְּאֵנִים֙

figs

הַשֹּׁ֣עָרִ֔ים

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

 

לֹא

that cannot be eaten

תֵאָכַ֖לְנָה

they are so evil

מֵרֹֽעַ׃

And I will persecute

וְרָֽדַפְתִּי֙

them

אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם

with the sword

בַּחֶ֖רֶב

with the famine

בָּרָעָ֣ב

and with the pestilence

וּבַדָּ֑בֶר

and will deliver

וּנְתַתִּ֨ים

 

לְזַוֲעָ֜ה

 

לְכֹ֣ל׀

to all the kingdoms

מַמְלְכ֣וֹת

of the earth

הָאָ֗רֶץ

to be a curse

לְאָלָ֤ה

and an astonishment

וּלְשַׁמָּה֙

and an hissing

וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֣ה

and a reproach

וּלְחֶרְפָּ֔ה

 

בְּכָל

among all the nations

הַגּוֹיִ֖ם

 

אֲשֶׁר

whither I have driven

הִדַּחְתִּ֥ים

 

שָֽׁם׃

אֲשֶֽׁר

 

לֹא

Because they have not hearkened

rising up early

Because they have not hearkened

שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם

Hear

Behold I will deliver

נֹתֵ֣ן

them into the hand

בְּיַד֙

of Nebuchadrezzar

נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר

king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶ֔ל

and he shall slay

וְהִכָּ֖ם

them before your eyes

לְעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃

And of them shall be taken up

וְלֻקַּ֤ח

 

מֵהֶם֙

a curse

קְלָלָ֔ה

 

לְכֹל֙

by all the captivity

גָּל֣וּת

The LORD

and like Ahab

וּכְאֶחָ֔ב

roasted

קָלָ֥ם

whom the king

of Babylon

בָּבֶ֖ל

in the fire

בָּאֵֽשׁ׃

Because they have committed

עָשׂ֨וּ

נְבָלָ֜ה

in Israel

adultery

וַיְנַֽאֲפוּ֙

with their neighbours

רֵֽעֵיהֶ֔ם

and have spoken

מְשֻׁגָּ֖ע

and maketh himself a prophet

וּמִתְנַבֵּ֑א

hath made

him in prison

הַמַּהְפֶּ֖כֶת

and in the stocks

הַצִּינֹֽק׃

Now therefore why hast thou not reproved

גָעַ֔רְתָּ

Behold I will punish

Shemaiah

שְׁמַעְיָ֣ה

the Nehelamite

הַנֶּחֱלָמִי֮

 

וְעַל

and his seed

זַרְעוֹ֒

 

לֹא

 

יִהְיֶ֨ה

he shall not have a man

אִ֣ישׁ׀

to dwell

יוֹשֵׁ֣ב׀

among

בְּתוֹךְ

for my people

לְעַמִּ֖י

neither shall he behold

יִרְאֶ֥ה

the good

בַטּ֛וֹב

 

אֲשֶׁר

that I will do
