גְּדֹל֥וֹת

and mighty things

וּבְצֻר֖וֹת

 

לֹ֥א

which thou knowest

יְדַעְתָּֽם׃

For thus saith

אָמַ֤ר

the LORD

יְהוָה֙

the God

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

 

עַל

and concerning the houses

בָּתֵּ֖י

of this city

הָעִ֣יר

 

הַזֹּ֔את

 

וְעַל

and concerning the houses

בָּתֵּ֖י

of the kings

מַלְכֵ֣י

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֑ה

which are thrown down

הַנְּתֻצִ֕ים

 

אֶל

by the mounts

הַסֹּלְל֖וֹת

 

וְאֶל

and by the sword

הֶחָֽרֶב׃

They come

בָּאִ֗ים

to fight

לְהִלָּחֵם֙

 

אֶת

with the Chaldeans

הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים

but it is to fill

וּלְמַלְאָם֙

 

אֶת

them with the dead bodies

פִּגְרֵ֣י

of men

הָאָדָ֔ם

 

אֲשֶׁר

whom I have slain

הִכֵּ֥יתִי

in mine anger

בְאַפִּ֖י

and in my fury

וּבַחֲמָתִ֑י

 

וַאֲשֶׁ֨ר

I have hid

הִסְתַּ֤רְתִּי

my face

פָנַי֙

from this city

מֵהָעִ֣יר

 

הַזֹּ֔את

 

עַ֖ל

 

כָּל

and for all whose wickedness

רָעָתָֽם׃

 

הִנְנִ֧י

Behold I will bring

מַעֲלֶה

 

לָּ֛הּ

it health

אֲרֻכָ֥ה

and cure

וּמַרְפֵּ֖א

and I will cure

וּרְפָאתִ֑ים

them and will reveal

וְגִלֵּיתִ֣י

 

לָהֶ֔ם

unto them the abundance

עֲתֶ֥רֶת

of peace

שָׁל֖וֹם

and truth

וֶאֱמֶֽת׃

to return

וַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִי֙

 

אֶת

And I will cause the captivity

שְׁב֣וּת

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֔ה

 

וְאֵ֖ת

And I will cause the captivity

שְׁב֣וּת

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

and will build

וּבְנִתִ֖ים

them as at the first

כְּבָרִֽאשֹׁנָֽה׃

And I will cleanse

וְטִ֣הַרְתִּ֔ים

 

מִכָּל

all their iniquities

עֲוֹנֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

whereby they have sinned

חָֽטְאוּ

 

לִ֑י

against me and I will pardon

וְסָלַחְתִּ֗י

 

לְכָול

all their iniquities

עֲוֹנֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

whereby they have sinned

וַאֲשֶׁ֖ר

and whereby they have transgressed

וְהָ֣יְתָה

 

לִּ֗י

And it shall be to me a name

לְשֵׁ֤ם

of joy

שָׂשׂוֹן֙

a praise

לִתְהִלָּ֣ה

and an honour

וּלְתִפְאֶ֔רֶת

 

לְכֹ֖ל

before all the nations

גּוֹיֵ֣י

of the earth

הָאָ֑רֶץ

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

which shall hear

יִשְׁמְע֜וּ

 

אֶת

 

כָּל

all the good

הַטּוֹבָה֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

 

אָֽנֹכִי֙

that I do

עֹ֥שֶׂה

 

אוֹתָ֔ם

unto them and they shall fear

וּפָחֲד֣וּ

and tremble

וְרָֽגְז֗וּ

 

עַ֤ל

 

כָּל

all the good

הַטּוֹבָה֙

 

וְעַ֣ל

 

כָּל

and for all the prosperity

הַשָּׁל֔וֹם

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

 

אָֽנֹכִ֖י

that I do

עֹ֥שֶׂה

 

לָּֽהּ׃

 

כֹּ֣ה׀

Thus saith

אֹֽמְרִ֔ים

the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

עוֹד֮

Again there shall be heard

יִשָּׁמַ֣ע

in this place

בַּמָּקוֹם

 

הַזֶּה֒

 

אֲשֶׁר֙

 

אַתֶּ֣ם

Thus saith

אֹֽמְרִ֔ים

shall be desolate

חָרֵ֣ב

 

ה֔וּא

 

מֵאֵ֥ין

without man

אָדָ֛ם

 

וּמֵאֵ֣ין

and without beast

בְּהֵמָֽה׃

even in the cities

בְּעָרֵ֤י

of Judah

יְהוּדָה֙

and in the streets

וּבְחֻצ֣וֹת

of Jerusalem

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם

that are desolate

הַֽנְשַׁמּ֗וֹת

כְּבָרִאשֹׁנָ֖ה

of them that shall say

for the LORD

and in all the cities

עָרָ֑יו

thereof shall be an habitation

נְוֵ֣ה

of shepherds

shall the flocks

under the hands

מוֹנֶ֖ה

הִנֵּ֛ה

Behold the days

יָמִ֥ים

come

בָּאִ֖ים

that I will perform

וַהֲקִֽמֹתִי֙

unto David

לְדָוִ֖ד

will I cause the Branch

צֶ֣מַח

and righteousness

וּצְדָקָ֖ה

and he shall execute

וְעָשָׂ֛ה

judgment

מִשְׁפָּ֥ט

and righteousness

וּצְדָקָ֖ה

in the land

בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

In those days

בַּיָּמִ֤ים

 

הָהֵם֙

be saved

תִּוָּשַׁ֣ע

shall Judah

יְהוּדָ֔ה

and Jerusalem

וִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם

shall dwell

תִּשְׁכּ֣וֹן

safely

לָבֶ֑טַח

 

וְזֶ֥ה

 

אֲשֶׁר

and this is the name wherewith she shall be called

יִקְרָא

 

לָ֖הּ

צִדְקֵֽנוּ׃

 

כִּי

For thus saith

the LORD

want

יִכָּרֵ֣ת

David

לְדָוִ֔ד

a man

אִ֕ישׁ

to sit

יֹשֵׁ֖ב

 

עַל

upon the throne

כִּסֵּ֥א

of the house

בֵֽית

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Neither shall the priests

וְלַכֹּהֲנִים֙

the Levites

הַלְוִיִּ֔ם

 

לֹֽא

want

יִכָּרֵ֥ת

a man

אִ֖ישׁ

before

מִלְּפָנָ֑י

me to offer

מַעֲלֶ֨ה

burnt offerings

עוֹלָ֜ה

and to kindle

וּמַקְטִ֥יר

meat offerings

מִנְחָ֛ה

and to do

וְעֹ֥שֶׂה

sacrifice

זֶּ֖בַח

continually

הַיָּמִֽים׃

 

וַֽיְהִי֙

And the word

דְּבַר

of the LORD

If ye can break

תָּפֵ֙רוּ֙

and my covenant

בְּרִיתִ֖י

of the day

הַיּ֔וֹם

 

וְאֶת

and my covenant

בְּרִיתִ֖י

and night

וָלַ֖יְלָה

 

וּלְבִלְתִּ֛י

 

הֱי֥וֹת

and that there should not be day

יֽוֹמָם

and night

וָלַ֖יְלָה

in their season

בְּעִתָּֽם׃

Then may also my covenant

בְּרִיתִ֤י

be broken

תֻפַר֙

with David

דָּוִ֣ד

my servant

עַבְדִּ֔י

that he should not have a son

בֵ֖ן

to reign

Considerest

רָאִ֗יתָ

my people

עַמִּי֙

דִּבְּר֣וּ

לֵאמֹ֔ר

The two

שְׁתֵּ֣י

families

הַמִּשְׁפָּח֗וֹת

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

hath chosen

בָּחַ֧ר

which the LORD

יְהוָ֛ה

 

בָּהֶ֖ם

he hath even cast them off

וַיִּמְאָסֵ֑ם

 

וְאֶת

my people

עַמִּי֙

thus they have despised

יִנְאָצ֔וּן

 

מִֽהְי֥וֹת

 

ע֖וֹד

that they should be no more a nation

גּ֥וֹי

before

לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃

 

כֹּ֚ה

Thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

אִם

 

לֹ֥א

If my covenant

בְרִיתִ֖י

be not with day

יוֹמָ֣ם

and night

וָלָ֑יְלָה

the ordinances

חֻקּ֛וֹת

of heaven

שָׁמַ֥יִם

and earth

וָאָ֖רֶץ

 

לֹא

and if I have not appointed

שָֽׂמְתִּי׃

Then

גַּם

any of his seed

זֶ֥רַע

and Jacob

וְיַעֲקֹ֑ב

and David

וְדָוִ֨ד

my servant

עַבְדִּ֜י

will I cast away

אֶמְאַ֗ס

so that I will not take

מִקַּ֤חַת

any of his seed

זֶ֥רַע

to be rulers

מֹֽשְׁלִ֔ים

 

אֶל

any of his seed

of Abraham

אַבְרָהָ֖ם

Isaac

יִשְׂחָ֣ק
