unto him that is for his mother

לְאִמּ֣וֹ

and for his father

וּלְאָבִ֔יו

וְלִבְנ֥וֹ

and for his daughter

וּלְבִתּ֖וֹ

and for his brother

וּלְאָחִֽיו׃

And for his sister

וְלַֽאֲחֹת֤וֹ

a virgin

הַבְּתוּלָה֙

that is nigh

הַקְּרוֹבָ֣ה

 

אֵלָ֔יו

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

 

לֹֽא

 

הָיְתָ֖ה

unto him which hath had no husband

לְאִ֑ישׁ

 

לָ֖הּ

for her may he be defiled

יִטַּמָּֽא׃

 

לֹ֥א

But he shall not defile

יִטַּמָּ֖א

himself being a chief man

בַּ֣עַל

among his people

בְּעַמָּ֑יו

to profane

לְהֵ֖חַלּֽוֹ׃

 

לֹֽא

They shall not make

יִקְרְחָה

baldness

קָרְחָה֙

upon their head

בְּרֹאשָׁ֔ם

the corner

וּפְאַ֥ת

of their beard

זְקָנָ֖ם

 

לֹ֣א

neither shall they shave off

יְגַלֵּ֑חוּ

in their flesh

וּבִ֨בְשָׂרָ֔ם

 

לֹ֥א

nor make

יִשְׂרְט֖וּ

any cuttings

שָׂרָֽטֶת׃

therefore they shall be holy

קְדֹשִׁ֤ים

 

יִֽהְיוּ֙

of their God

אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֛ם

 

וְלֹ֣א

and not profane

יְחַלְּל֔וּ

the name

שֵׁ֖ם

of their God

אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֛ם

for he is holy

Thou shalt sanctify

מְקַדִּשְׁכֶֽם׃

if she profane

מְחַלֶּ֔לֶת

herself by playing the whore

לִזְנ֑וֹת

her father

if she profane

מְחַלֶּ֔לֶת

with fire

בָּאֵ֖שׁ

she shall be burnt

תִּשָּׂרֵֽף׃

וְהַכֹּהֵן֩

And he that is the high

הַגָּד֨וֹל

among his brethren

מֵֽאֶחָ֜יו

 

אֲשֶׁר

הַמִּשְׁחָה֙

נַפְשֹׁ֥ת

himself for his father

וּלְאִמּ֖וֹ

Neither shall he profane

יְחַלֵּ֥ל

his seed

זַרְע֖וֹ

among his people

בְּעַמָּ֑יו

for I the LORD

מְקַדְּשֽׁוֹ׃

מִֽזַּרְעֲךָ֞

in their generations

לְדֹֽרֹתָ֗ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

 

יִֽהְיֶ֥ה

 

בוֹ֙

that hath any blemish

מ֔וּם

 

לֹ֣א

let him not approach

לְהַקְרִ֖יב

let him not approach

לְהַקְרִ֖יב

the bread

לֶ֥חֶם

of his God

אֱלֹהָֽיו׃

not my sanctuaries
