And it came to pass when I heard

that I sat down

יָשַׁ֙בְתִּי֙

and wept

וָֽאֶבְכֶּ֔ה

and mourned

וָֽאֶתְאַבְּלָ֖ה

certain days

יָמִ֑ים

 

וָֽאֱהִ֥י

and fasted

צָם֙

and prayed

וּמִתְפַּלֵּ֔ל

before

לִפְנֵ֖י

אֱלֹהֵ֥י

of heaven

הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

And said

וָֽאֹמַ֗ר

I beseech

אָֽנָּ֤א

thee O LORD

יְהוָה֙

that thou mayest hear

לִשְׁמֹ֣עַ

תְּפִלַּ֣ת

of thy servant

עֲבָדֶ֑יךָ

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

 

אָֽנֹכִי֩

which I pray

מִתְפַּלֵּ֨ל

If ye transgress

תִּמְעָ֔לוּ

 

אֲנִ֕י

I will scatter you abroad

אָפִ֥יץ

 

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

among the nations

בָּֽעַמִּֽים׃

But if ye turn

וְשַׁבְתֶּ֣ם

 

אֵלַ֔י

unto me and keep

וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙

my commandments

מִצְוֹתַ֔י

and do

וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם

 

אֹתָ֑ם

 

אִם

 

יִֽהְיֶ֨ה

them though there were of you cast out

נִֽדַּחֲכֶ֜ם

unto the uttermost part

בִּקְצֵ֤ה

of the heaven

הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙

 

מִשָּׁ֣ם

yet will I gather

אֲקַבְּצֵ֔ם

them from thence and will bring

עֲבָדֶ֖יךָ

and thy people

whom thou hast redeemed

פָּדִ֙יתָ֙

power

בְּכֹֽחֲךָ֣

by thy great

הַגָּד֔וֹל

hand

וּבְיָֽדְךָ֖

and by thy strong

הַֽחֲזָקָֽה׃

I beseech

אָנָּ֣א

O Lord

אֲדֹנָ֗י

 

תְּהִ֣י

 

נָ֣א

thee let now thine ear

אָזְנְךָֽ
