for thou hast lifted me up

דִלִּיתָ֑נִי

 

וְלֹא

to rejoice

שִׂמַּ֖חְתָּ

and hast not made my foes

אֹיְבַ֣י

 

לִֽי׃

O LORD

יְהוָ֥ה

my God

אֱלֹהָ֑י

I cried

שִׁוַּ֥עְתִּי

 

אֵ֝לֶ֗יךָ

unto thee and thou hast healed

וַתִּרְפָּאֵֽנִי׃

O LORD

יְֽהוָ֗ה

thou hast brought up

הֶֽעֱלִ֣יתָ

 

מִן

from the grave

שְׁא֣וֹל

my soul

נַפְשִׁ֑י

thou hast kept me alive

חִ֝יִּיתַ֗נִי

that I should not go down

מִיָּֽורְדִי

to the pit

בֽוֹר׃

Sing

זַמְּר֣וּ

unto the LORD

לַיהוָ֣ה

O ye saints

חֲסִידָ֑יו

of his and give thanks

וְ֝הוֹד֗וּ

at the remembrance

לְזֵ֣כֶר

of his holiness

קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃

 

כִּ֤י

endureth but a moment

רֶ֨גַע׀

For his anger

בְּאַפּוֹ֮

is life

חַיִּ֪ים

in his favour

בִּרְצ֫וֹנ֥וֹ

for a night

בָּ֭עֶרֶב

may endure

יָלִ֥ין

weeping

בֶּ֗כִי

cometh in the morning

וְלַבֹּ֥קֶר

but joy

רִנָּֽה׃

 

וַ֭אֲנִי

I said

אָמַ֣רְתִּי

And in my prosperity

בְשַׁלְוִ֑י

 

בַּל

be moved

אֶמּ֥וֹט

I shall never

לְעוֹלָֽם׃

LORD

יְֽהוָ֗ה

by thy favour

בִּרְצוֹנְךָ֮

to stand

הֶעֱמַ֪דְתָּה

thou hast made my mountain

לְֽהַרְרִ֫י

strong

עֹ֥ז

thou didst hide

הִסְתַּ֥רְתָּ

thy face

פָנֶ֗יךָ

 

הָיִ֥יתִי

and I was troubled

נִבְהָֽל׃

 

אֵלֶ֣יךָ

and unto the LORD

אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י

I cried

אֶקְרָ֑א

 

וְאֶל

and unto the LORD

אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י

I made supplication

אֶתְחַנָּֽן׃

is there in my blood

בְּדָמִי֮

when I go down

בְּרִדְתִּ֪י

שָׁ֥חַת

praise

הֲיוֹדְךָ֥

Shall the dust

thee shall it declare

הֲיַגִּ֥יד

thy truth

אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃

O LORD

יְ֝הוָה

and have mercy

וְחָנֵּ֑נִי

O LORD

הֱֽיֵה

be thou my helper

עֹזֵ֥ר

 

לִֽי׃

Thou hast turned

הָפַ֣כְתָּ

for me my mourning

מִסְפְּדִי֮

into dancing

לְמָח֪וֹל

 

לִ֥י

thou hast put off

פִּתַּ֥חְתָּ

my sackcloth

שַׂקִּ֑י

and girded

וַֽתְּאַזְּרֵ֥נִי

me with gladness

שִׂמְחָֽה׃

 

לְמַ֤עַן׀

may sing

יְזַמֶּרְךָ֣

To the end that my glory

כָ֭בוֹד

 

וְלֹ֣א

praise to thee and not be silent

יִדֹּ֑ם

O LORD

יְהוָ֥ה

my God

אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י

unto thee for ever

לְעוֹלָ֥ם

I will give thanks

אוֹדֶֽךָּ׃
