in vain

הֶ֖בֶל

they comfort

יְנַֽחֵמ֑וּן

 

עַל

 

כֵּן֙

therefore they went

נָסְע֣וּ

 

כְמוֹ

their way as a flock

צֹ֔אן

they were troubled

יַעֲנ֖וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֵ֥ין

because there was no shepherd

רֹעֶֽה׃

 

עַל

against the shepherds

הָֽרֹעִים֙

was kindled

Mine anger

and I punished

אוֹתָ֔ם

horse

כְּס֥וּס

them as his goodly

הוֹד֖וֹ

in the battle

בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

 

מִמֶּ֤נּוּ

the corner

פִנָּה֙

 

מִמֶּ֣נּוּ

out of him the nail

יָתֵ֔ד

 

מִמֶּ֖נּוּ

bow

קֶ֣שֶׁת

out of him the battle

מִלְחָמָ֑ה

 

מִמֶּ֛נּוּ

Out of him came forth

יֵצֵ֥א

out of him every oppressor

נוֹגֵ֖שׂ

וְהָי֨וּ

And they shall be as mighty

כְגִבֹּרִ֜ים

men which tread down

בּוֹסִ֨ים

their enemies in the mire

בְּטִ֤יט

of the streets

חוּצוֹת֙

in the battle

בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה

and they shall fight

וְנִ֨לְחֲמ֔וּ

 

כִּ֥י

because the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

 

עִמָּ֑ם

shall be confounded

וְהֹבִ֖ישׁוּ

is with them and the riders

רֹכְבֵ֥י

on horses

סוּסִֽים׃

And I will strengthen

וְגִבַּרְתִּ֣י׀

 

אֶת

the house

בֵּ֤ית

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֗ה

 

וְאֶת

the house

בֵּ֤ית

of Joseph

יוֹסֵף֙

and I will save

אוֹשִׁ֔יעַ

 

וְהֽוֹשְׁבוֹתִים֙

 

כִּ֣י

them for I have mercy

רִֽחַמְתִּ֔ים

 

וְהָי֖וּ

upon them and they shall be as though

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

 

לֹֽא

I had not cast them off

זְנַחְתִּ֑ים

 

כִּ֗י

 

אֲנִ֛י

for I am the LORD

יְהוָ֥ה

their God

אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם

and will hear

וְאֶעֱנֵֽם׃

 

וְהָי֤וּ

shall be like a mighty

כְגִבּוֹר֙

And they of Ephraim

אֶפְרַ֔יִם

it and be glad

וְשָׂמַ֥ח

man and their heart

לִבָּ֖ם

 

כְּמוֹ

as through wine

יָ֑יִן

yea their children

וּבְנֵיהֶם֙

shall see

יִרְא֣וּ

 

וְשָׂמֵ֔חוּ

shall rejoice

יָגֵ֥ל

man and their heart

לִבָּ֖ם

in the LORD

בַּיהוָֽה׃

I will hiss

אֶשְׁרְקָ֥ה

 

לָהֶ֛ם

for them and gather

וַאֲקַבְּצֵ֖ם

 

כִּ֣י

them for I have redeemed

פְדִיתִ֑ים

as they have increased

רָבֽוּ׃

 

כְּמ֥וֹ

as they have increased

רָבֽוּ׃

And I will sow

וְאֶזְרָעֵם֙

them among the people

בָּֽעַמִּ֔ים

me in far countries

וּבַמֶּרְחַקִּ֖ים

and they shall remember

יִזְכְּר֑וּנִי

and they shall live

וְחָי֥וּ

 

אֶת

with their children

בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם

and turn again

וָשָֽׁבוּ׃

I will bring them again

וַהֲשִֽׁבוֹתִים֙

also out of the land

אֶ֨רֶץ

of Egypt

מִצְרַ֔יִם

them out of Assyria

וּמֵֽאַשּׁ֖וּר

and gather

אֲקַבְּצֵ֑ם

 

וְאֶל

also out of the land

אֶ֨רֶץ

of Gilead

גִּלְעָ֤ד

and Lebanon

וּלְבָנוֹן֙

and I will bring

אֲבִיאֵ֔ם

 

וְלֹ֥א

and place shall not be found

יִמָּצֵ֖א

 

לָהֶֽם׃

And he shall pass through

וְעָבַ֨ר

in the sea

בַיָּם֙

with affliction

צָרָ֗ה

and shall smite

וְהִכָּ֤ה

in the sea

בַיָּם֙

the waves

גַּלִּ֔ים

shall dry up

וְהֹבִ֕ישׁוּ

 

כֹּ֖ל

and all the deeps

מְצוּל֣וֹת

of the river

יְאֹ֑ר

shall be brought down

וְהוּרַד֙

and the pride

גְּא֣וֹן

of Assyria

אַשּׁ֔וּר

and the sceptre

וְשֵׁ֥בֶט

of Egypt

מִצְרַ֖יִם

shall depart away

יָסֽוּר׃

And I will strengthen

וְגִבַּרְתִּים֙

the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

in his name

וּבִשְׁמ֖וֹ

and they shall walk up and down

יִתְהַלָּ֑כוּ

saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the LORD
