The burden
מַשָּׂ֤א
of the word
דְבַר
of the LORD
לַֽיהוָה֙
in the land
בְּאֶ֣רֶץ
of Hadrach
חַדְרָ֔ךְ
and Damascus
וְדַמֶּ֖שֶׂק
shall be the rest
מְנֻחָת֑וֹ

כִּ֤י
of the LORD
לַֽיהוָה֙
thereof when the eyes
עֵ֣ין
of man
אָדָ֔ם

וְכֹ֖ל
as of all the tribes
שִׁבְטֵ֥י
of Israel
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
2

וְגַם
And Hamath
חֲמָ֖ת
also shall border
תִּגְבָּל

בָּ֑הּ
thereby Tyrus
צֹ֣ר
and Zidon
וְצִיד֔וֹן

כִּ֥י
wise
חָֽכְמָ֖ה
though it be very
מְאֹֽד׃

did build
וַתִּ֥בֶן
And Tyrus
צֹ֛ר
herself a strong hold
מָצ֖וֹר

לָ֑הּ
and heaped up
וַתִּצְבָּר
silver
כֶּ֙סֶף֙
as the dust
כֶּֽעָפָ֔ר
and fine gold
וְחָר֖וּץ
as the mire
כְּטִ֥יט
of the streets
חוּצֽוֹת׃
4

הִנֵּ֤ה
Behold the Lord
אֲדֹנָי֙
will cast her out
יֽוֹרִשֶׁ֔נָּה
and he will smite
וְהִכָּ֥ה
in the sea
בַיָּ֖ם
her power
חֵילָ֑הּ

וְהִ֖יא
with fire
בָּאֵ֥שׁ
and she shall be devoured
תֵּאָכֵֽל׃
5
shall see
תֵּרֶ֨א
Ashkelon
וְאַשְׁקְל֖וֹן
it and fear
וְתִירָ֗א
Gaza
מֵֽעַזָּ֔ה
sorrowful
וְתָחִ֣יל
also shall see it and be very
מְאֹ֔ד
and Ekron
וְעֶקְר֖וֹן

כִּֽי

הֹבִ֣ישׁ
for her expectation
מֶבָּטָ֑הּ
shall perish
וְאָ֤בַד

מֶ֙לֶךְ֙
Gaza
מֵֽעַזָּ֔ה
Ashkelon
וְאַשְׁקְל֖וֹן

לֹ֥א
shall not be inhabited
תֵשֵֽׁב׃
6
shall dwell
וְיָשַׁ֥ב
And a bastard
מַמְזֵ֖ר
in Ashdod
בְּאַשְׁדּ֑וֹד
and I will cut off
וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י
the pride
גְּא֥וֹן
of the Philistines
פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃
7
And I will take away
וַהֲסִרֹתִ֨י
his blood
דָמָ֜יו
out of his mouth
מִפִּ֗יו
and his abominations
וְשִׁקֻּצָיו֙

מִבֵּ֣ין
from between his teeth
שִׁנָּ֔יו
but he that remaineth
וְנִשְׁאַ֥ר

גַּם

ה֖וּא
even he shall be for our God
לֵֽאלֹהֵ֑ינוּ

וְהָיָה֙
and he shall be as a governor
כְּאַלֻּ֣ף
in Judah
בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה
and Ekron
וְעֶקְר֖וֹן
as a Jebusite
כִּיבוּסִֽי׃
8
And I will encamp
וְחָנִ֨יתִי
about mine house
לְבֵיתִ֤י
because of the army
מִצָּבָה֙
because of him that passeth by

וְלֹֽא
because of him that passeth by
יַעֲבֹ֧ר

עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם

ע֖וֹד
and no oppressor
נֹגֵ֑שׂ

כִּ֥י

עַתָּ֖ה
them any more for now have I seen
רָאִ֥יתִי
with mine eyes
בְעֵינָֽי׃
9
Rejoice
גִּילִ֨י
greatly
מְאֹ֜ד
O daughter
בַּ֣ת
of Zion
צִיּ֗וֹן
shout
הָרִ֙יעִי֙
O daughter
בַּ֣ת

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם

הִנֵּ֤ה

unto thee he is just

upon an ass
חֲמ֔וֹר

וְעַל
and upon a colt
עַ֖יִר
the foal
בֶּן
of an ass
אֲתֹנֽוֹת׃
10
And I will cut off
וְנִכְרְתָה֙
the chariot
רֶ֣כֶב
from Ephraim
מֵאֶפְרַ֗יִם
and the horse
וְסוּס֙
from Jerusalem
מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם
And I will cut off
וְנִכְרְתָה֙
bow
קֶ֣שֶׁת
and the battle
מִלְחָמָ֔ה
and he shall speak
וְדִבֶּ֥ר
peace
שָׁל֖וֹם
unto the heathen
לַגּוֹיִ֑ם
and his dominion
וּמָשְׁלוֹ֙
even to sea
יָ֔ם

עַד
even to sea
יָ֔ם
and from the river
וּמִנָּהָ֖ר

עַד
even to the ends
אַפְסֵי
of the earth
אָֽרֶץ׃
11

גַּם

אַ֣תְּ

בְּדַם
of thy covenant
בְּרִיתֵ֗ךְ
I have sent forth
שִׁלַּ֤חְתִּי
thy prisoners
אֲסִירַ֙יִךְ֙
out of the pit

Turn
אָשִׁ֥יב
you to the strong hold
לְבִצָּר֔וֹן
ye prisoners
אֲסִירֵ֖י

הַתִּקְוָ֑ה

גַּם
even to day
הַיּ֕וֹם

אָשִׁ֥יב

לָֽךְ׃

כִּֽי

וְשַׂמְתִּ֖יךְ
thee as the sword
כְּחֶ֥רֶב
of a mighty man
גִּבּֽוֹר׃
14
And the LORD
וַֽיהוָה֙

עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם

חִצּ֑וֹ
and the Lord
וַֽאדֹנָ֤י
GOD
יְהוִֹה֙
the trumpet

וְהָלַ֖ךְ
with whirlwinds
בְּסַעֲר֥וֹת
of the south
תֵּימָֽן׃
15
The LORD
יְהוָ֣ה
of hosts

וּמָֽלְאוּ֙
like bowls
כַּמִּזְרָ֔ק

כְּזָוִיּ֖וֹת
of the altar
מִזְבֵּֽחַ׃

shall save
וְֽהוֹשִׁיעָ֞ם

יְהוָ֧ה
their God
אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֛ם
them in that day
בַּיּ֥וֹם

הַה֖וּא

אַדְמָתֽוֹ׃
