Calvinists believe that man does not have his own free will, they fully deny that. They believe that God is so sovereign that He’s in control of everything. So all things that happen in this life, they believe that it’s all under the control of God. Whether sin has occurred, whether good things have happened in life, it’s not because of the choices of man that all these things have happened. Calvinists believe that it’s because God made it happen, which makes pretty much a cruel God, doesn’t it? Children being raped, murderers killing so many people, people getting mass-murdered at the Nazi Holocaust, etc, so to blame it all on God because He made those things happen is what the Calvinists teach.
These are easy verses that we can use to destroy Calvinism:
Jeremiah 19:4-5 “Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents; They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:”
All these wicked things that these people did, God did not command nor ordain it nor did it came into His mind.
Jeremiah 32:35 “And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.”
The Lord says He didn’t command them, neither came into His mind that they should do this abomination or to cause them to sin. God didn’t even cause them to do that sin.
If the Calvinist’s god is true, he must have a pornographic, sadist, wicked, sullied mind. They don’t like to say it that way but that’s just the plain interpretation of what Calvinist teaches.
So all these things that occur in our world, tell a Calvinist this: the Lord never even thought about all these atrocious things that would happen in His mind. He never even planned it out in His head before He ordained it because before we can ordain it to happen, we have to think and plan it out.
Matthew 12:50 “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
Calvinist says that it’s God’s will to make these murderers commit murders, liars to lie, thieves to commit crimes. Isn’t it all under God’s will where He made all these things happen? Yes? So Ted Bundy and Adolf Hitler were doing the will of God, then they must be your brothers and sisters in Christ. If God’s will is everything then that means if it includes everything such as sin, then they must be a saved Christian.
Luke 11:2 “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.“
Assuming that the Calvinist is right and all these people are praying the Lord’s prayer for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, then they are praying for all these wicked things to happen. Who in the right mind would pray that kind of stuff?
If the counsel and will of God included sin, then why are there verses that show God’s counsel and that his will does not include sin?
Genesis 6:5-6 “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.”
In v6, God changed His mind, but based on Calvinism, didn’t God planned v5 out for the wickedness of man to do all these wicked things? All these predestination that’s unbreakable and has to happen, all of a sudden God repented.
Isaiah 30:1 “Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:”
This proves that God’s mind and His counsel never included sin.
Jeremiah 23:22 “But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.”
So everybody should be sinless today including us if we stood in God’s counsel.
Ezekial 18:23 “Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?”
Ezekial 18:32 “For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.”
God wants and takes pleasure in people turning back to God.
Ezekial 31:11 “I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.”
God says ‘I have no pleasure in sending people to hell’.
