Revelation 1:20 “The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.”
Revelation 2:1 “Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;”
The Spirit speaks to the church.
Revelation 2:7 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
Revelation 2:17 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.”
Revelation 2:29 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Does the following verse mean that there are multiple Gods? Multiple Spirits and multiple Gods?
Revelation 3:1 “And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.”
Let’s look at the following verses.
John 4:24 – “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
Ephesians 4:4 – “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;”
Baseed on John 4 and Ephesians 4:4, there’s only one God and one spirit. But then, why would the Bible mention seven spirits?
Why are there seven spirits in Revelation 3?
The Spirit is asking the seven churches seven times. There are seven candlesticks and seven stars which represent seven agnels. Is God only in one place or is He omnipresent? God can be in any place, any time. God the Holy Spirit is in all the seven churches.
John 20:17 “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
Jesus is God, but He mentioned, “My God is your God.” That’s because the Father is God too. This is not many spirits. This is just God splitting Himself to be anywhere. Our bodies go to the grave, but the soul is going up to heaven. It’s multiple things. It’s not 7 persons out there with 7 individual personalities. This is God who can be anywhere, any place, anytime.
