Beloved
Ἀγαπητοί,

the sons
τέκνα
of God
Θεοῦ
are we
ἐσμεν
and
καὶ
not yet
οὔπω
appear
φανερωθῇ
what
τί
we shall be
ἐσόμεθα
we know
οἴδαμεν
but
δὲ
for
ὅτι
when
ἐὰν
appear
φανερωθῇ
like
ὅμοιοι
him
αὐτὸν
we shall be
ἐσόμεθα
for
ὅτι
we shall see
ὀψόμεθα
him
αὐτὸν
as
καθώς
he is
ἐστιν

hope
ἐλπίδα
ταύτην

ἐπ'

αὐτῷ
purifieth
ἁγνίζει
himself
ἑαυτὸν
even as
καθὼς

ἐκεῖνος
pure
ἁγνός
is
ἐστιν

the law

was manifested
ἐφανερώθη

take away

ἐν

αὐτῷ

is
ἔστιν

For

this purpose

was manifested

commit sin
ἁμαρτίαν
he cannot

ποιεῖ
because
ὅτι
seed
σπέρμα

αὐτῷ

ἐν

remaineth
μένει
and
καὶ
he cannot
οὐ
δύναται
sin
ἁμαρτάνειν
because
ὅτι
of
ἐκ
τοῦ
God
Θεοῦ
he is born
γεγέννηται

manifest
φανερά
are
ἔστιν
τὰ
the children
τέκνα
τοῦ

Θεοῦ,

τὰ

of the devil
διαβόλου·
whosoever
πᾶς
ὁ
not
μὴ
doeth
ποιῶν
righteousness
δικαιοσύνην
not
οὐκ
are
ἔστιν
of
ἐκ
τοῦ
God
Θεοῦ,
and
καὶ
ὁ
not
μὴ
he that loveth
ἀγαπῶν
τὸν
brother
ἀδελφὸν
αὐτοῦ

his brother

He that loveth
ἀγαπῶν

ἀδελφόν,
abideth

death
θανάτῳ

a murderer
ἀνθρωποκτόνος

ἐστίν

οἴδατε

οὐκ
hath
ἔχει
life
ζωὴν
eternal
αἰώνιον

ἐν
him
αὐτῷ
abiding

τὴν
the love
ἀγάπην
of God because
ὅτι
he
ἐκεῖνος
for
ὑπὲρ
us
ἡμῶν

life
ψυχὰς

laid down
τιθέναι
and
καὶ
we
ἡμεῖς
ought
ὀφείλομεν
for
ὑπὲρ
τῶν
the brethren
ἀδελφῶν

ψυχὰς

shutteth up
κλείσῃ
τὰ
bowels
σπλάγχνα

αὐτῷ
of compassion from
ἀπ'
him
αὐτῷ
how

the love
ἀγάπη

of God
Θεοῦ
dwelleth
μένει
in
ἐν

ἐκ
τῆς
the truth
ἀληθείας
we are
ἐσμέν,

καὶ
before
ἔμπροσθεν

αὐτοῦ
shall assure
πείσομεν
τὰς
hearts
καρδίας
our
ἡμῶν

ὅτι
if
ἐὰν
condemn us
καταγινώσκῃ
our
ἡμῶν
ἡ
heart
καρδίας
For
ὅτι
greater
μείζων
is
ἐστὶν
ὁ
God
Θεὸς
τῆς
heart
καρδίας
our
ἡμῶν
and
καὶ
knoweth
γινώσκει
all things
πάντα

Beloved
ἀγαπητοί,
ἐὰν
ἡ
heart
καρδία
our
ἡμῶν
μὴ
condemn
καταγινώσκῃ
our
ἡμῶν
confidence
παῤῥησίαν
then have we
ἔχομεν
toward
πρὸς
τὸν
God
Θεόν

whatsoever

we ask
αἰτῶμεν
we receive
λαμβάνομεν
of
παρ'
him
αὐτοῦ
because
ὅτι
τὰς
commandments
ἐντολὰς
him
αὐτοῦ
we keep
τηροῦμεν
And
καὶ
τὰ
those things that are pleasing
ἀρεστὰ
sight
ἐνώπιον
him
αὐτοῦ
do
ποιοῦμεν

this
αὕτη

commandment
ἐντολὴν

we should believe
πιστεύσωμεν

ἐκ

the Spirit
πνεύματος
which
οὗ
