the flower

of the grass
χόρτου
he shall pass away

a burning heat
καύσωνι

καὶ
it withereth
ἐξήρανεν
τὸν
the grass
χόρτον

καὶ
τὸ
the flower
ἄνθος
of it
αὐτοῦ
falleth
ἐξέπεσεν
also
καὶ
ἡ
the grace
εὐπρέπεια
τοῦ
of the fashion
προσώπου
of it
αὐτοῦ
perisheth
ἀπώλετο·
so
οὕτως

καὶ
ὁ
the rich man
πλούσιος
in
ἐν
ταῖς
ways
πορείαις
of it
αὐτοῦ
fade away
μαρανθήσεται

Μακάριος
is the man
ἀνὴρ

ὃν
endureth
ὑπομένει
temptation
πειρασμόν
for
ὅτι
when he is tried
δόκιμος
γενόμενος
he shall receive
λήψεταί
τὸν
the crown
στέφανον
τῆς
of life
ζωῆς
that
ὃν
hath promised
ἐπηγγείλατο

the Lord

to them that love

face
πρόσωπον
τῆς
natural
γενέσεως
αὐτοῦ

ἐν
a glass
ἐσόπτρῳ·

a forgetful
ἐπιλησμονῆς
being
γενόμενος
but
ἀλλὰ
a doer
ποιητὴς
of the work
ἔργου
therein he
οὗτος
blessed
μακάριος

ἐν
τῇ
deed
ποιήσει
αὐτοῦ
shall be
ἔσται

religious
θρησκὸς
to be
εἶναι
among
ἐν
you
ὑμῖν,

μὴ
and bridleth
χαλιναγωγῶν
tongue
γλῶσσαν
αὐτοῦ

ἀλλ'
deceiveth
ἀπατῶν
heart
καρδίαν
αὐτοῦ
this man's
τούτου
is vain
μάταιος
ἡ

the fatherless
ὀρφανοὺς

καὶ
widows
χήρας
in
ἐν
τῇ
their affliction
θλίψει
αὐτῶν
unspotted
ἄσπιλον
himself
ἑαυτὸν
and to keep
τηρεῖν
from
ἀπὸ
τοῦ
the world
κόσμου
