If a man

נֶ֜דֶר

unto the LORD

לַֽיהוָ֗ה

 

אֽוֹ

or swear

הִשָּׁ֤בַע

an oath

שְׁבֻעָה֙

to bind

לֶאְסֹ֤ר

with a bond

אִסָּר֙

 

עַל

his soul

נַפְשׁ֔וֹ

 

לֹ֥א

he shall not break

יַחֵ֖ל

his word

דְּבָר֑וֹ

 

כְּכָל

according to all that proceedeth

הַיֹּצֵ֥א

out of his mouth

מִפִּ֖יו

he shall do

יַֽעֲשֶֽׂה׃

If a woman

וְאִשָּׁ֕ה

 

כִּֽי

also vow

תִדֹּ֥ר

a vow

נֶ֖דֶר

unto the LORD

לַֽיהוָ֑ה

and bind

וְאָֽסְרָ֥ה

herself by a bond

אִסָּ֛ר

house

בְּבֵ֥ית

being in her father's

אָבִ֖יהָ

in her youth

בִּנְעֻרֶֽיהָ׃

hear

וְשָׁמַ֨ע

And her father

אָבִ֑יהָ

 

אֶת

at her then all her vows

נְדָרֶ֔יהָ

and every bond

אִסָּ֛ר

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

wherewith she hath bound

אָֽסְרָ֥ה

 

עַל

her soul

נַפְשָׁ֖הּ

shall hold his peace

וְהֶֽחֱרִ֥ישׁ

 

לָ֖הּ

And her father

אָבִ֑יהָ

shall stand

יָקֽוּם׃

 

כָּל

at her then all her vows

נְדָרֶ֔יהָ

 

וְכָל

and every bond

אִסָּ֛ר

 

אֲשֶׁר

wherewith she hath bound

אָֽסְרָ֥ה

 

עַל

her soul

נַפְשָׁ֖הּ

shall stand

יָקֽוּם׃

 

וְאִם

הֵנִ֥יא

But if her father

אָבִ֖יהָ

 

אֹתָהּ֮

her in the day

בְּי֣וֹם

that he heareth

שָׁמְעוֹ֒

not any of her vows

נְדָרֶ֗יהָ

or of her bonds

וֶֽאֱסָרֶ֛יהָ

 

אֲשֶׁר

wherewith she hath bound

אָֽסְרָ֥ה

 

עַל

her soul

נַפְשָׁ֖הּ

 

לֹ֣א

shall stand

יָק֑וּם

and the LORD

וַֽיהוָה֙

shall forgive

יִֽסְלַח

 

לָ֔הּ

 

כִּֽי

disallow

הֵנִ֥יא

But if her father

אָבִ֖יהָ

 

אֹתָֽהּ׃

 

וְאִם

 

הָי֤וֹ

 

תִֽהְיֶה֙

And if she had at all an husband

לְאִ֔ישׁ

when she vowed

וּנְדָרֶ֖יהָ

 

עָלֶ֑יהָ

 

א֚וֹ

or uttered

מִבְטָ֣א

ought out of her lips

שְׂפָתֶ֔יהָ

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

wherewith she bound

אָֽסְרָ֖ה

 

עַל

her soul

נַפְשָֽׁהּ׃

heard

שָׁמְע֖וֹ

And her husband

אִישָׁ֛הּ

at her in the day

בְּי֥וֹם

heard

שָׁמְע֖וֹ

it and held his peace

וְהֶֽחֱרִ֣ישׁ

 

לָ֑הּ

shall stand

יָקֻֽמוּ׃

it then her vows

נְדָרֶ֗יהָ

and her bonds

וֶֽאֱסָרֶ֛הָ

 

אֲשֶׁר

wherewith she bound

אָֽסְרָ֥ה

 

עַל

her soul

נַפְשָׁ֖הּ

shall stand

יָקֻֽמוּ׃

 

וְ֠אִם

her on the day

בְּי֨וֹם

that he heard

שְׁמֹ֣עַ

But if her husband

אִישָׁהּ֮

disallowed

יָנִ֣יא

 

אוֹתָהּ֒

of none effect

וְהֵפֵ֗ר

 

אֶת

it then he shall make her vow which she vowed

נִדְרָהּ֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

 

עָלֶ֔יהָ

 

וְאֵת֙

and that which she uttered

מִבְטָ֣א

with her lips

שְׂפָתֶ֔יהָ

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

wherewith she bound

אָֽסְרָ֖ה

 

עַל

her soul

נַפְשָׁ֑הּ

and the LORD

וַֽיהוָ֖ה

shall forgive

יִֽסְלַֽח

 

לָֽהּ׃

But every vow

וְנֵ֥דֶר

of a widow

אַלְמָנָ֖ה

and of her that is divorced

וּגְרוּשָׁ֑ה

 

כֹּ֛ל

 

אֲשֶׁר

wherewith they have bound

אָֽסְרָ֥ה

 

עַל

their souls

נַפְשָׁ֖הּ

shall stand

יָק֥וּם

 

עָלֶֽיהָ׃

 

וְאִם

house

בֵּ֥ית

in her husband's

אִישָׁ֖הּ

And if she vowed

נָדָ֑רָה

 

אֽוֹ

or bound

אָסְרָ֥ה

by a bond
