strong

not unto the Holy One

קְד֣וֹשׁ

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

 

וְאֶת

the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

 

לֹ֥א

neither seek

דָרָֽשׁוּ׃

 

וְגַם

 

ה֤וּא

Yet he also is wise

חָכָם֙

and will bring

וַיָּ֣בֵא

evil

רָ֔ע

 

וְאֶת

his words

דְּבָרָ֖יו

 

לֹ֣א

and will not call back

הֵסִ֑יר

but will arise

וְקָם֙

 

עַל

against the house

בֵּ֣ית

of the evildoers

מְרֵעִ֔ים

 

וְעַל

and against the help

עֶזְרַ֖ת

of them that work

פֹּ֥עֲלֵי

iniquity

אָֽוֶן׃

Now the Egyptians

וּמִצְרַ֤יִם

are men

אָדָם֙

 

וְֽלֹא

and not God

אֵ֔ל

and their horses

וְסוּסֵיהֶ֥ם

flesh

בָּשָׂ֖ר

 

וְלֹא

and not spirit

ר֑וּחַ

When the LORD

וַֽיהוָ֞ה

shall stretch out

יַטֶּ֣ה

his hand

יָד֗וֹ

shall fall

וְכָשַׁ֤ל

and he that is holpen

עָזֻ֔ר

shall fall down

וְנָפַ֣ל

and he that is holpen

עָזֻ֔ר

together

וְיַחְדָּ֖ו

 

כֻּלָּ֥ם

and they all shall fail

יִכְלָיֽוּן׃

 

כִּ֣י

 

כֹ֣ה

spoken

אָֽמַר

For thus hath the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

 

אֵלַ֡י

 

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

roaring

יֶהְגֶּה֩

unto me Like as the lion

הָאַרְיֵ֨ה

and the young lion

וְהַכְּפִ֜יר

 

עַל

on his prey

טַרְפּ֗וֹ

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

is called forth

יִקָּרֵ֤א

 

עָלָיו֙

when a multitude

מְלֹ֣א

of shepherds

רֹעִ֔ים

of their voice

מִקּוֹלָם֙

 

לֹ֣א

against him he will not be afraid

יֵחָ֔ת

himself for the noise

וּמֵֽהֲמוֹנָ֖ם

 

לֹ֣א

nor abase

יַֽעֲנֶ֑ה

 

כֵּ֗ן

come down

יֵרֵד֙

For thus hath the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

of hosts

צְבָא֔וֹת

to fight

לִצְבֹּ֥א

 

עַל

for mount

הַר

Zion

צִיּ֖וֹן

 

וְעַל

and for the hill

גִּבְעָתָֽהּ׃

As birds

כְּצִפֳּרִ֣ים

flying

עָפ֔וֹת

 

כֵּ֗ן

defend

גָּנ֥וֹן

so will the LORD

יְהוָ֥ה

of hosts

צְבָא֖וֹת

 

עַל

Jerusalem

יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

defend

גָּנ֥וֹן

also he will deliver

וְהִצִּ֖יל

it and passing over

פָּסֹ֥חַ

he will preserve

וְהִמְלִֽיט׃

Turn

שׁ֗וּבוּ

 

לַאֲשֶׁ֛ר

have deeply

הֶעְמִ֥יקוּ

revolted

סָרָ֖ה

ye unto him from whom the children

בְּנֵ֥י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

 

כִּ֚י

For in that day

בַּיּ֣וֹם

 

הַה֔וּא

shall cast away

יִמְאָס֗וּן

every man

אִ֚ישׁ

and his idols

וֶאֱלִילֵ֖י

of silver

כַסְפּ֔וֹ

and his idols

וֶאֱלִילֵ֖י

of gold

זְהָב֑וֹ

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

have made

עָשׂ֥וּ

 

לָכֶ֛ם

which your own hands

יְדֵיכֶ֖ם

unto you for a sin

חֵֽטְא׃

fall

וְנָפַ֤ל

Then shall the Assyrian

אַשּׁוּר֙

and the sword

חֶ֔רֶב

 

לֹא

not of a mighty man

אִ֔ישׁ

and the sword

חֶ֔רֶב

 

לֹֽא

not of a mean man

אָדָ֖ם

shall devour

תֹּֽאכֲלֶ֑נּוּ

him but he shall flee

וְנָ֥ס

 

לוֹ֙

from

מִפְּנֵי

and the sword

חֶ֔רֶב

and his young men

וּבַחוּרָ֖יו

shall be discomfited

לָמַ֥ס

 

יִהְיֽוּ׃

to his strong hold

וְסַלְעוֹ֙

for fear

מִמָּג֣וֹר

And he shall pass over

יַֽעֲב֔וֹר

shall be afraid

וְחַתּ֥וּ

of the ensign

מִנֵּ֖ס

and his princes

שָׂרָ֑יו

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

אֲשֶׁר

whose fire

א֥וּר

 

לוֹ֙

is in Zion

בְּצִיּ֔וֹן

and his furnace

וְתַנּ֥וּר

 

ל֖וֹ

in Jerusalem

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
