For behold the day

cometh

הַבָּ֗א

that shall burn

בֹּעֵ֖ר

as an oven

כַּתַּנּ֑וּר

and all the proud

זֵדִ֜ים

 

וְכָל

yea and all that do

עֹשֵׂ֤ה

wickedly

רִשְׁעָה֙

shall be stubble

shall burn them up

For behold the day

of hosts

that it shall leave

יַעֲזֹ֥ב

 

לָהֶ֖ם

them neither root

שֹׁ֥רֶשׁ

nor branch

וְעָנָֽף׃

arise

וְזָרְחָ֨ה

 

לָכֶ֜ם

But unto you that fear

יִרְאֵ֤י

my name

שְׁמִי֙

shall the Sun

שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ

of righteousness

צְדָקָ֔ה

with healing

וּמַרְפֵּ֖א

in his wings

בִּכְנָפֶ֑יהָ

and ye shall go forth

וִֽיצָאתֶ֥ם

and grow up

וּפִשְׁתֶּ֖ם

as calves

כְּעֶגְלֵ֥י

of the stall

מַרְבֵּֽק׃

And ye shall tread down

וְעַסּוֹתֶ֣ם

the wicked

רְשָׁעִ֔ים

 

כִּֽי

 

יִהְי֣וּ

for they shall be ashes

אֵ֔פֶר

 

תַּ֖חַת

under the soles

כַּפּ֣וֹת

of your feet

רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם

in the day

בַּיּוֹם֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

 

אֲנִ֣י

that I shall do

עֹשֶׂ֔ה

this saith

אָמַ֖ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֥ה

of hosts

צְבָאֽוֹת׃

ye the law

תּוֹרַ֖ת

of Moses

מֹשֶׁ֣ה

my servant

עַבְדִּ֑י

 

אֲשֶׁר֩

which I commanded

צִוִּ֨יתִי

 

אוֹת֤וֹ

unto him in Horeb

בְחֹרֵב֙

 

עַל

 

כָּל

for all Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

with the statutes

חֻקִּ֖ים

and judgments

וּמִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃

 

הִנֵּ֤ה

 

אָֽנֹכִי֙

Behold I will send

שֹׁלֵ֣חַ

 

לָכֶ֔ם

 

אֵ֖ת

you Elijah

אֵלִיָּ֣ה

the prophet

הַנָּבִ֑יא

before

לִפְנֵ֗י

the coming

בּ֚וֹא

day

י֣וֹם

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

of the great

הַגָּד֖וֹל

and dreadful

וְהַנּוֹרָֽא׃

And he shall turn
