אַ֭שְׁרֵי

is he that considereth

מַשְׂכִּ֣יל

 

אֶל

the poor

דָּ֑ל

him in time

בְּי֥וֹם

of trouble

רָ֝עָ֗ה

will deliver

יְֽמַלְּטֵ֥הוּ

the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

The LORD

יְהוָ֤ה׀

will preserve

יִשְׁמְרֵ֣הוּ

him and keep him alive

וִֽ֭יחַיֵּהוּ

and he shall be blessed

יְאֻשַּׁ֣ר

upon the earth

בָּאָ֑רֶץ

 

וְאַֽל

and thou wilt not deliver

תִּ֝תְּנֵ֗הוּ

him unto the will

בְּנֶ֣פֶשׁ

of his enemies

אֹיְבָֽיו׃

The LORD

יְֽהוָ֗ה

will strengthen

יִ֭סְעָדֶנּוּ

 

עַל

him upon the bed

עֶ֣רֶשׂ

of languishing

דְּוָ֑י

 

כָּל

all his bed

מִ֝שְׁכָּב֗וֹ

thou wilt make

הָפַ֥כְתָּ

in his sickness

בְחָלְיֽוֹ׃

 

אֲֽנִי

I said

אָ֭מַרְתִּי

LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

be merciful

חָנֵּ֑נִי

unto me heal

רְפָאָ֥ה

my soul

נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י

 

כִּי

for I have sinned

חָטָ֥אתִי

 

לָֽךְ׃

Mine enemies

אוֹיְבַ֗י

speak

יֹאמְר֣וּ

evil

רַ֣ע

 

לִ֑י

 

מָתַ֥י

of me When shall he die

יָ֝מ֗וּת

perish

וְאָבַ֥ד

and his name

שְׁמֽוֹ׃

 

וְאִם

And if he come

בָּ֤א

to see

לִרְא֨וֹת׀

vanity

שָׁ֤וְא

he telleth

יְדַבֵּֽר׃

his heart

לִבּ֗וֹ

gathereth

יִקְבָּץ

iniquity

אָ֥וֶן

 

ל֑וֹ

to itself when he goeth

יֵצֵ֖א

abroad

לַח֣וּץ

he telleth

יְדַבֵּֽר׃

together

יַ֗חַד

 

עָלַ֣י

me whisper

יִ֭תְלַחֲשׁוּ

All that hate

שֹׂנְאָ֑י

 

עָלַ֓י׀

against me against me do they devise

יַחְשְׁב֖וּ

my hurt

רָעָ֣ה

 

לִֽי׃

disease

דְּֽבַר

say they cleaveth fast

וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר

אִ֤ישׁ

Yea mine own familiar

שְׁלוֹמִ֨י׀

 

אֲשֶׁר

בָּטַ֣חְתִּי

 

ב֭וֹ

which did eat

אוֹכֵ֣ל

of my bread

לַחְמִ֑י

hath lifted up

הִגְדִּ֖יל

 

עָלַ֣י

his heel

עָקֵֽב׃

 

וְאַתָּ֤ה

But thou O LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

be merciful

חָנֵּ֥נִי

unto me and raise me up

וַהֲקִימֵ֑נִי

that I may requite

וַֽאֲשַׁלְּמָ֥ה

 

לָהֶֽם׃

 

בְּזֹ֣את

By this I know

יָ֭דַעְתִּי

 

כִּֽי

that thou favourest

חָפַ֣צְתָּ

 

בִּ֑י

 

כִּ֤י

 

לֹֽא

doth not triumph

יָרִ֖יעַ

me because mine enemy

אֹיְבִ֣י

 

עָלָֽי׃

 

וַאֲנִ֗י

me in mine integrity

בְּ֭תֻמִּי

And as for me thou upholdest

תָּמַ֣כְתָּ

 

בִּ֑י

and settest

וַתַּצִּיבֵ֖נִי

me before thy face

לְפָנֶ֣יךָ

for ever

לְעוֹלָֽם׃

Blessed

בָּ֘ר֤וּךְ

be the LORD

יְהוָ֨ה׀

God

אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל

and to everlasting

הָעוֹלָ֗ם

 

וְעַ֥ד

and to everlasting

הָעוֹלָ֗ם
