to the LORD God

But sought

דָּרָ֔שׁ

in his commandments

וּבְמִצְוֹתָ֖יו

and walked

הָלָ֑ךְ

and not after the doings

כְּמַֽעֲשֵׂ֥ה

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

stablished

וַיָּ֨כֶן

Therefore the LORD

יְהוָ֤ה

the kingdom

הַמַּמְלָכָה֙

in his hand

בְּיָד֔וֹ

brought

וַיִּתְּנ֧וּ

 

כָל

and all Judah

יְהוּדָ֛ה

presents

מִנְחָ֖ה

to Jehoshaphat

לִיהֽוֹשָׁפָ֑ט

 

וַיְהִי

 

ל֥וֹ

and he had riches

עֹֽשֶׁר

and honour

וְכָב֖וֹד

in abundance

לָרֹֽב׃

was lifted up

וַיִּגְבַּ֥הּ

And his heart

לִבּ֖וֹ

in the ways

בְּדַרְכֵ֣י

of the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

 

וְע֗וֹד

moreover he took away

הֵסִ֛יר

 

אֶת

the high places

הַבָּמ֥וֹת

 

וְאֶת

and groves

הָֽאֲשֵׁרִ֖ים

out of Judah

מִֽיהוּדָֽה׃

וּבִשְׁנַ֨ת

Also in the third

שָׁל֜וֹשׁ

of his reign

לְמָלְכ֗וֹ

he sent

שָׁלַ֤ח

to his princes

לְשָׂרָיו֙

 

לְבֶן

even to Benhail

חַ֙יִל֙

and to Obadiah

וּלְעֹֽבַדְיָ֣ה

and to Zechariah

וְלִזְכַרְיָ֔ה

and to Nethaneel

לְלַמֵּ֖ד

in the cities

בְּעָרֵ֥י

וְעִמָּהֶ֣ם

And with them he sent Levites

הַלְוִיִּ֑ם

even Shemaiah

שְֽׁמַעְיָ֡הוּ

and Nethaniah

וּנְתַנְיָ֡הוּ

and Zebadiah

וּזְבַדְיָ֡הוּ

and Asahel

וַֽעֲשָׂהאֵ֡ל

and Shemiramoth

וּשְׁמִֽריָמ֡וֹת

and Jehonathan

וִיהֽוֹנָתָן֩

and Adonijah

וַאֲדֹ֨נִיָּ֧הוּ

and Tobijah

וְטֽוֹבִיָּ֛הוּ

and Tobadonijah

אֲדֽוֹנִיָּ֖ה

And with them he sent Levites

And they taught

וַֽיְלַמְּד֖וּ

the people

בָּעָֽם׃

And the fear

פַּ֣חַד

of the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

fell upon all the kingdoms

מַמְלְכ֣וֹת

of the lands

הָֽאֲרָצ֔וֹת

 

אֲשֶׁ֖ר

that were round about

סְבִיב֣וֹת

Judah

וְלֹ֥א

so that they made no war

נִלְחֲמ֖וּ
