הַנְּבִאִים֮

מֵא֣וֹת

אִישׁ֒

And they said

וַיֹּֽאמְר֣וּ

 

אֲלֵהֶ֗ם

 

הֲנֵלֵ֞ךְ

 

אֶל

to Ramothgilead

רָמֹ֥ת

 

גִּלְעָ֛ד

to battle

לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה

With these thou shalt push

Syria

אֲרָ֖ם

 

עַד

until they be consumed

כַּלּוֹתָֽם׃

 

וְכָ֨ל

And all the prophets

הַנְּבִאִ֔ים

prophesied

נִבְּאִ֥ים

 

כֵּ֖ן

so saying

לֵאמֹ֑ר

Go up

עֲלֵ֞ה

to Ramothgilead

רָמֹ֤ת

 

גִּלְעָד֙

and prosper

וְהַצְלַ֔ח

shall deliver

וְנָתַ֥ן

for the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

it into the hand

בְּיַ֥ד

of the king

הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

And the messenger

And when he was come

And he said

Go ye up

עֲל֣וּ

and prosper

וְהַצְלִ֔יחוּ

and they shall be delivered

וְיִנָּֽתְנ֖וּ

into your hand

בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃

אֵלָיו֙

And the king

הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ

all Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

scattered

נְפוֹצִ֣ים

 

עַל

upon the mountains

הֶֽהָרִ֔ים

as sheep

כַּצֹּ֕אן

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

 

אֵין

 

לָהֶ֖ן

that have no shepherd

רֹעֶ֑ה

Then he said

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

and the LORD

יְהוָה֙

 

לֹֽא

These have no master

אֲדֹנִ֣ים

 

לָאֵ֔לֶּה

let them return

יָשׁ֥וּבוּ

therefore every man

אִישׁ

to his house

לְבֵית֖וֹ

in peace

בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃

Did I not tell

אָמַ֣רְתִּי

And the king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

to Jehoshaphat

thee that he would not prophesy

unto me but evil

לְרָֽע׃

on his right hand

יְמִינ֖וֹ

and on his left

וּשְׂמֹאלֽוֹ׃

And one spake

אֹמֵ֥ר

And the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

מִ֤י

Who shall entice

יְפַתֶּה֙

 

אֶת

Ahab

אַחְאָ֣ב

מֶֽלֶךְ

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

that he may go up

וְיַ֕עַל

and fall

וְיִפֹּ֖ל

at Ramothgilead

בְּרָמ֣וֹת

And one spake

אֹמֵ֥ר

And one spake

after that manner

a spirit

הָר֗וּחַ

אֲנִ֣י

I will entice

אֲפַתֶּ֑נּוּ

and said

וַיֹּ֧אמֶר

אֵלָ֖יו

 

בַּמָּֽה׃

And he said

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

I will go out

צֵ֖א

 

וְהָיִ֙יתִי֙

spirit

לְר֣וּחַ

and be a lying

שֶׁ֔קֶר

in the mouth

בְּפִ֖י

 

כָּל

of all his prophets

נְבִיאָ֑יו

And he said

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

Thou shalt entice

תְּפַתֶּה֙

 

וְגַם

him and thou shalt also prevail

תּוּכָ֔ל

I will go out

צֵ֖א

and do

וַֽעֲשֵׂה

וְעַתָּ֗ה

 

הִנֵּ֨ה

hath put

נָתַ֤ן

Now therefore behold the LORD

וַֽיהוָ֔ה

spirit

ר֣וּחַ

a lying

שֶׁ֔קֶר

in the mouth

בְּפִ֖י

of these thy prophets

נְבִיאֶ֣יךָ

 

אֵ֑לֶּה

Now therefore behold the LORD

רָעָֽה׃

וַיִּגַּשׁ֙

him to fight

לְהִלָּחֵ֑ם

and the LORD

וַֽיהוָ֣ה

helped

עֲזָר֔וֹ

moved

וַיְסִיתֵ֥ם

him and God

אֱלֹהִ֖ים

 

מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃

perceived

כִּרְאוֹת֙

For it came to pass that when the captains

שָׂרֵ֣י

of the chariots

הָרֶ֔כֶב

לֹֽא

 

הָיָ֖ה

that it was not the king

מֶ֣לֶךְ

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

they turned back again

וַיָּשׁ֖וּבוּ

from pursuing

מֵאַֽחֲרָֽיו׃

וְאִ֗ישׁ

And a certain man drew

מָשַׁ֤ךְ

a bow

בַּקֶּ֙שֶׁת֙

at a venture

לְתֻמּ֔וֹ

and smote
