לִשְׂרֵפָ֑ה

לָהֶ֤ם

And they had brick

הַלְּבֵנָה֙

for stone

לְאָ֔בֶן

and slime

וְהַ֣חֵמָ֔ר

לַחֹֽמֶר׃

And they said

וַיֹּֽאמְר֞וּ

Go to

הָ֣בָה׀

let us build

נִבְנֶה

 

לָּ֣נוּ

us a city

עִ֗יר

and a tower

וּמִגְדָּל֙

whose top

וְרֹאשׁ֣וֹ

may reach unto heaven

בַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and let us make

וְנַֽעֲשֶׂה

 

לָּ֖נוּ

us a name

שֵׁ֑ם

lest we be scattered abroad

נָפ֖וּץ

 

עַל

upon the face

פְּנֵ֥י

הָאָֽרֶץ׃

And the LORD

to see

לִרְאֹ֥ת

הַמִּגְדָּ֑ל

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

builded

בָּנ֖וּ

הָֽאָדָֽם׃

And the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

הֵ֣ן

Behold the people

עַ֤ם

and they have all one

אַחַת֙

language

וְשָׂפָ֤ה

and they have all one

לְכֻלָּ֔ם

 

וְזֶ֖ה

and this they begin

הַֽחִלָּ֣ם

to do

לַֽעֲשֽׂוֹת׃

 

וְעַתָּה֙

and now nothing

לֹֽא

will be restrained

יִבָּצֵ֣ר

 

מֵהֶ֔ם

 

כֹּ֛ל

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

from them which they have imagined

יָֽזְמ֖וּ

to do

לַֽעֲשֽׂוֹת׃

Go to

הָ֚בָה

let us go down

נֵֽרְדָ֔ה

and there confound

וְנָֽבְלָ֥ה
