ye this O priests

הַכֹּהֲנִ֜ים

and hearken

וְהַקְשִׁ֣יבוּ׀

O house

וּבֵ֤ית

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל

O house

וּבֵ֤ית

of the king

הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙

and give ye ear

הַאֲזִ֔ינוּ

 

כִּ֥י

 

לָכֶ֖ם

for judgment

הַמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט

 

כִּֽי

is toward you because ye have been a snare

פַח֙

 

הֱיִיתֶ֣ם

on Mizpah

לְמִצְפָּ֔ה

and a net

וְרֶ֖שֶׁת

spread

פְּרוּשָׂ֥ה

 

עַל

upon Tabor

תָּבֽוֹר׃

to make slaughter

וְשַׁחֲטָ֥ה

And the revolters

שֵׂטִ֖ים

are profound

הֶעְמִ֑יקוּ

 

וַאֲנִ֖י

though I have been a rebuker

מוּסָ֥ר

 

לְכֻלָּֽם׃

 

אֲנִי֙

I know

יָדַ֣עְתִּי

Ephraim

אֶפְרַ֔יִם

and Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

 

לֹֽא

is not hid

נִכְחַ֣ד

 

מִמֶּ֑נִּי

 

כִּ֤י

 

עַתָּה֙

thou committest whoredom

הִזְנֵ֣יתָ

Ephraim

אֶפְרַ֔יִם

is defiled

נִטְמָ֖א

and Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

 

לֹ֤א

They will not frame

יִתְּנוּ֙

their doings

מַ֣עַלְלֵיהֶ֔ם

to turn

לָשׁ֖וּב

 

אֶל

unto their God

אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם

 

כִּ֣י

for the spirit

ר֤וּחַ

of whoredoms

זְנוּנִים֙

is in the midst

בְּקִרְבָּ֔ם

 

וְאֶת

the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

 

לֹ֥א

of them and they have not known

יָדָֽעוּ׃

doth testify

וְעָנָ֥ה

And the pride

גְאֽוֹן

of Israel

וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל

to his face

בְּפָנָ֑יו

of Israel

וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל

and Ephraim

וְאֶפְרַ֗יִם

also shall fall

כָּשַׁ֥ל

in their iniquity

בַּעֲוֺנָ֔ם

also shall fall

כָּשַׁ֥ל

 

גַּם

Judah

יְהוּדָ֖ה

 

עִמָּֽם׃

with their flocks

בְּצֹאנָ֣ם

and with their herds

וּבִבְקָרָ֗ם

 

יֵֽלְכ֛וּ

to seek

לְבַקֵּ֥שׁ

 

אֶת

the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

 

וְלֹ֣א

but they shall not find

יִמְצָ֑אוּ

him he hath withdrawn

חָלַ֖ץ

 

מֵהֶֽם׃

against the LORD

בַּיהוָ֣ה

They have dealt treacherously

בָּגָ֔דוּ

 

כִּֽי

children

בָנִ֥ים

strange

זָרִ֖ים

for they have begotten

יָלָ֑דוּ

 

עַתָּ֛ה

devour

יֹאכְלֵ֥ם

now shall a month

חֹ֖דֶשׁ

 

אֶת

them with their portions

חֶלְקֵיהֶֽם׃

Blow

תִּקְע֤וּ

ye the cornet

שׁוֹפָר֙

in Gibeah

בַּגִּבְעָ֔ה

and the trumpet

חֲצֹצְרָ֖ה

in Ramah

בָּרָמָ֑ה

cry aloud

הָרִ֙יעוּ֙

 

בֵּ֣ית

at Bethaven

אָ֔וֶן

after

אַחֲרֶ֖יךָ

thee O Benjamin

בִּנְיָמִֽין׃

Ephraim

אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙

shall be desolate

לְשַׁמָּ֣ה

 

תִֽהְיֶ֔ה

in the day

בְּי֖וֹם

of rebuke

תּֽוֹכֵחָ֑ה

among the tribes

בְּשִׁבְטֵי֙

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

have I made known

הוֹדַ֖עְתִּי

that which shall surely be

נֶאֱמָנָֽה׃

 

הָיוּ֙

The princes

שָׂרֵ֣י

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֔ה

were like them that remove

כְּמַסִּיגֵ֖י

the bound

גְּב֑וּל

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֕ם

therefore I will pour out

אֶשְׁפּ֥וֹךְ

upon them like water

כַּמַּ֖יִם

my wrath

עֶבְרָתִֽי׃

is oppressed

עָשׁ֥וּק

Ephraim

אֶפְרַ֖יִם

and broken

רְצ֣וּץ

in judgment

מִשְׁפָּ֑ט

 

כִּ֣י

because he willingly

הוֹאִ֔יל

walked

הָלַ֖ךְ

after

אַחֲרֵי

the commandment

צָֽו׃

 

וַאֲנִ֥י

as a moth

כָעָ֖שׁ

Therefore will I be unto Ephraim

לְאֶפְרָ֑יִם

as rottenness

וְכָרָקָ֖ב

and to the house

לְבֵ֥ית

of Judah

יְהוּדָֽה׃

saw

וַיַּ֨רְא

Ephraim

אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙

his sickness

חָלְי֗וֹ

and Judah

וִֽיהוּדָה֙

 

אֶת

saw his wound

מָזֽוֹר׃

 

וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ

Ephraim

אֶל

לְאֶפְרַ֔יִם

and as a young lion

וְכַכְּפִ֖יר

to the house

לְבֵ֣ית

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֑ה

 

אֲנִ֨י

 

אֲנִ֤י

I even I will tear

אֶטְרֹף֙

 

וְאֵלֵ֔ךְ

I will take away

אֶשָּׂ֖א

 

וְאֵ֥ין

and none shall rescue

מַצִּֽיל׃

 

אֵלֵ֤ךְ

and return

אָשׁ֙וּבָה֙

 

אֶל

to my place

מְקוֹמִ֔י

 

עַ֥ד

 

אֲשֶֽׁר

till they acknowledge their offence

יֶאְשְׁמ֖וּ

and seek

וּבִקְשׁ֣וּ

my face

פָנָ֑י

in their affliction

בַּצַּ֥ר

 

לָהֶ֖ם

they will seek me early

יְשַׁחֲרֻֽנְנִי׃
