לִשְׁמֻעָתֵ֑נוּ

and to whom is the arm

וּזְר֥וֹעַ

of the LORD

and when we shall see

וְנִרְאֵ֥הוּ

 

וְלֹֽא

him there is no beauty

מַרְאֶ֖ה

that we should desire

וְנֶחְמְדֵֽהוּ׃

He is despised

נִבְזֶ֖ה

and rejected

וַחֲדַ֣ל

a man

אִ֥ישׁ

a man

אִ֥ישׁ

of sorrows

מַכְאֹב֖וֹת

and acquainted

וִיד֣וּעַ

with grief

חֹ֑לִי

and we hid as it were

וּכְמַסְתֵּ֤ר

our faces

פָּנִים֙

 

מִמֶּ֔נּוּ

He is despised

נִבְזֶ֖ה

 

וְלֹ֥א

and we esteemed

חֲשַׁבְנֻֽהוּ׃

Surely

אָכֵ֤ן

our griefs

חֳלָיֵ֙נוּ֙

 

ה֣וּא

he hath borne

נָשָׂ֔א

our sorrows

וּמַכְאֹבֵ֖ינוּ

and carried

סְבָלָ֑ם

 

וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ

yet we did esteem

חֲשַׁבְנֻ֔הוּ

him stricken

נָג֛וּעַ

smitten

מֻכֵּ֥ה

of God

אֱלֹהִ֖ים

and afflicted

וּמְעֻנֶּֽה׃

 

וְהוּא֙

But he was wounded

מְחֹלָ֣ל

for our transgressions

מִפְּשָׁעֵ֔נוּ

he was bruised

מְדֻכָּ֖א

for our iniquities

מֵעֲוֺנֹתֵ֑ינוּ

the chastisement

מוּסַ֤ר

of our peace

שְׁלוֹמֵ֙נוּ֙

 

עָלָ֔יו

was upon him and with his stripes

וּבַחֲבֻרָת֖וֹ

we are healed

נִרְפָּא

 

לָֽנוּ׃

 

כֻּלָּ֙נוּ֙

All we like sheep

כַּצֹּ֣אן

have gone astray

תָּעִ֔ינוּ

every one

אִ֥ישׁ

to his own way

לְדַרְכּ֖וֹ

we have turned

פָּנִ֑ינוּ

and the LORD

וַֽיהוָה֙

hath laid

הִפְגִּ֣יעַ

 

בּ֔וֹ

 

אֵ֖ת

on him the iniquity

עֲוֹ֥ן

 

כֻּלָּֽנוּ׃

He was oppressed

נִגַּ֨שׂ

 

וְה֣וּא

and he was afflicted

נַעֲנֶה֮

 

וְלֹ֣א

so he openeth

יִפְתַּ֖ח

not his mouth

פִּֽיו׃

as a lamb

כַּשֶּׂה֙

to the slaughter

לַטֶּ֣בַח

he is brought

יוּבָ֔ל

and as a sheep

וּכְרָחֵ֕ל

before

לִפְנֵ֥י

her shearers

גֹזְזֶ֖יהָ

is dumb

נֶאֱלָ֑מָה

 

וְלֹ֥א

so he openeth

יִפְתַּ֖ח

not his mouth

פִּֽיו׃

from prison

מֵעֹ֤צֶר

and from judgment

וּמִמִּשְׁפָּט֙

He was taken

לֻקָּ֔ח

 

וְאֶת

his generation

דּוֹר֖וֹ

 

מִ֣י

and who shall declare

יְשׂוֹחֵ֑חַ

 

כִּ֤י

for he was cut off

נִגְזַר֙

out of the land

מֵאֶ֣רֶץ

of the living

חַיִּ֔ים

for the transgression

מִפֶּ֥שַׁע

of my people

עַמִּ֖י

was he stricken

נֶ֥גַע

 

לָֽמוֹ׃

And he made

וַיִּתֵּ֤ן

 

אֶת

with the wicked

רְשָׁעִים֙

his grave

קִבְר֔וֹ

 

וְאֶת

and with the rich

עָשִׁ֖יר

in his death

בְּמֹתָ֑יו

 

עַ֚ל

 

לֹא

no violence

חָמָ֣ס

because he had done

עָשָׂ֔ה

 

וְלֹ֥א

neither was any deceit

מִרְמָ֖ה

in his mouth

בְּפִֽיו׃

of the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

Yet it pleased

חָפֵ֤ץ

to bruise

דַּכְּאוֹ֙

him he hath put him to grief

הֶֽחֱלִ֔י

 

אִם

when thou shalt make

תָּשִׂ֤ים

an offering for sin

אָשָׁם֙

his soul

נַפְשׁ֔וֹ

he shall see

יִרְאֶ֥ה

his seed

זֶ֖רַע

he shall prolong

יַאֲרִ֣יךְ

his days

יָמִ֑ים

and the pleasure

וְחֵ֥פֶץ

of the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

in his hand

בְּיָד֥וֹ

shall prosper

יִצְלָֽח׃

of the travail

מֵעֲמַ֤ל

of his soul

נַפְשׁוֹ֙

He shall see

יִרְאֶ֣ה

and shall be satisfied

יִשְׂבָּ֔ע

by his knowledge

בְּדַעְתּ֗וֹ

justify

יַצְדִּ֥יק

shall my righteous

צַדִּ֛יק

servant

עַבְדִּ֖י

many

לָֽרַבִּ֑ים

their iniquities

וַעֲוֺנֹתָ֖ם

 

ה֥וּא

for he shall bear

יִסְבֹּֽל׃

 

לָכֵ֞ן

Therefore will I divide

יְחַלֵּ֣ק

 

ל֣וֹ

him a portion with the great

רַבִּ֣ים

 

וְאֶת

with the strong

עֲצוּמִים֮

Therefore will I divide

יְחַלֵּ֣ק

the spoil

שָׁלָל֒

 

תַּ֗חַת

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

because he hath poured out

הֶעֱרָ֤ה

unto death

לַמָּ֙וֶת֙

his soul

נַפְשׁ֔וֹ

 

וְאֶת

for the transgressors

וְלַפֹּשְׁעִ֖ים

and he was numbered

נִמְנָ֑ה

 

וְהוּא֙

the sin

חֵטְא

him a portion with the great

רַבִּ֣ים

and he bare

נָשָׂ֔א

for the transgressors

וְלַפֹּשְׁעִ֖ים

and made intercession

יַפְגִּֽיעַ׃
