unto Jeremiah

not into Egypt

to sojourn

בָּרוּךְ֙

setteth thee on

that they might put us to death

and carry us away captives

Then came the word

דְבַר

of the LORD

unto Jeremiah

יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ

בְּתַחְפַּנְחֵ֖ס

saying

לֵאמֹֽר׃

Take

קַ֣ח

in thine hand

בְּיָדְךָ֞

stones

אֲבָנִ֣ים

great

גְּדֹל֗וֹת

and hide

וּטְמַנְתָּ֤ם

them in the clay

בַּמֶּ֙לֶט֙

in the brickkiln

בַּמַּלְבֵּ֔ן

 

אֲשֶׁ֛ר

which is at the entry

בְּפֶ֥תַח

house

בֵּית

of Pharaoh's

פַּרְעֹ֖ה

in Tahpanhes

בְּתַחְפַּנְחֵ֑ס

in the sight

לְעֵינֵ֖י

of the men

אֲנָשִׁ֥ים

of Judah

יְהוּדִֽים׃

And say

Behold I will send

Nebuchadrezzar

נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֤ר

the king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶל֙

my servant

עַבְדִּ֔י

and will set

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י

his throne

כִסְא֔וֹ

upon

מִמַּ֛עַל

these stones

לָאֲבָנִ֥ים

 

הָאֵ֖לֶּה

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

that I have hid

טָמָ֑נְתִּי

and he shall spread

וְנָטָ֥ה

 

אֶת

his royal pavilion

שַׁפְרִור֖וֹ

 

עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

And when he cometh

וּבָ֕אה

he shall smite

וְהִכָּ֖ה

 

אֶת

the land

אֶ֣רֶץ

of Egypt

מִצְרָ֑יִם

 

אֲשֶׁ֧ר

and deliver such as are for death

לַמָּ֗וֶת

and deliver such as are for death

לַמָּ֗וֶת

 

וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר

and such as are for captivity

לַשֶּׁ֔בִי

and such as are for captivity

לַשֶּׁ֔בִי

 

וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר

and such as are for the sword

לֶחָֽרֶב׃

And I will kindle

וְהִצַּ֣תִּי

a fire

אֵ֗שׁ

in the houses

בְּבָתֵּי֙

of the gods

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

of Egypt

מִצְרַ֜יִם

and he shall burn

וּשְׂרָפָ֖ם

them and carry them away captives

וְשָׁבָ֑ם

and he shall array

יַעְטֶ֤ה

 

אֶת

himself with the land

אֶ֨רֶץ

of Egypt

מִצְרַ֜יִם

 

כַּאֲשֶׁר

and he shall array

יַעְטֶ֤ה

as a shepherd

הָֽרֹעֶה֙

 

אֶת

his garment

בִּגְד֔וֹ

and he shall go forth

וְיָצָ֥א

 

מִשָּׁ֖ם

from thence in peace

בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃

He shall break

וְשִׁבַּ֗ר
