אֶל

for us unto the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

thy God

אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ

 

בְּעַ֖ד

even for all this remnant

הַשְּׁאֵרִ֣ית

 

הַזֹּ֑את

 

כִּֽי

for we are left

נִשְׁאַ֤רְנוּ

but a few

מְעַט֙

of many

מֵֽהַרְבֵּ֔ה

 

כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר

as thine eyes

עֵינֶ֖יךָ

do behold

רֹא֥וֹת

 

אֹתָֽנוּ׃

according to your words

be a true

אֱמֶ֣ת

and faithful

וְנֶאֱמָ֑ן

not even according to all things

הַ֠דָּבָר

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

shall send

יִֽשְׁלָחֲךָ֜

The LORD

יְהוָ֧ה

thy God

אֵלֵ֖ינוּ

 

כֵּ֥ן

between us if we do

נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃

Whether it be good

ט֣וֹב

or whether it be evil

unto whom ye sent

לְהַפִּ֥יל

your supplication

תְּחִנַּתְכֶ֖ם

before

לְפָנָֽיו׃

 

אִם

If ye will still

שׁ֤וֹב

abide

תֵּֽשְׁבוּ֙

in this land

בָּאָ֣רֶץ

 

הַזֹּ֔את

then will I build

וּבָנִ֤יתִי

 

אֶתְכֶם֙

 

וְלֹ֣א

you and not pull you down

אֶהֱרֹ֔ס

and I will plant

וְנָטַעְתִּ֥י

 

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

 

וְלֹ֣א

you and not pluck you up

אֶתּ֑וֹשׁ

 

כִּ֤י

for I repent

נִחַ֙מְתִּי֙

 

אֶל

me of the evil

הָ֣רָעָ֔ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

that I have done

עָשִׂ֖יתִי

 

לָכֶֽם׃

 

אַל

Be not afraid

תִּֽירְא֤וּ

מִפָּנָ֑יו

Be not afraid

תִּֽירְא֤וּ

 

מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙

the LORD

for I am with you to save

לְהוֹשִׁ֧יעַ

you and to deliver

you from his hand

מִיָּדֽוֹ׃

And I will shew

וְאֶתֵּ֥ן

 

לָכֶ֛ם

mercies

רַחֲמִ֖ים

unto you that he may have mercy

וְרִחַ֣ם

 

אֶתְכֶ֑ם

upon you and cause you to return

וְהֵשִׁ֥יב

 

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

 

אֶל

to your own land

אַדְמַתְכֶֽם׃

 

וְאִם

But if ye say

We will not dwell

No but we will go

נָב֔וֹא

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

 

לֹֽא

where we shall see

נִרְאֶה֙

no war

מִלְחָמָ֔ה

the sound

וְק֥וֹל

of the trumpet

שׁוֹפָ֖ר

 

לֹ֣א

nor hear

נִשְׁמָ֑ע

of bread

וְלַלֶּ֥חֶם

 

לֹֽא

nor have hunger

נִרְעָ֖ב

 

וְשָׁ֥ם

and there will we dwell

נֵשֵֽׁב׃

 

וְעַתָּ֕ה

 

לָכֵ֛ן

And now therefore hear

שִׁמְע֥וּ

the word

דְבַר

of the LORD

יְהוָ֨ה

ye remnant

שְׁאֵרִ֣ית

of Judah

If ye wholly

תְּשִׂמ֤וּן

your faces

פְּנֵיכֶם֙

and go

וּבָאתֶ֖ם

into Egypt

מִצְרַ֔יִם

to sojourn

וְהָיְתָ֣ה

Then it shall come to pass that the sword

הַחֶ֗רֶב

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

 

אַתֶּם֙

 

יְרֵאִ֣ים

 

מִמֶּ֔נָּה

 

שָׁ֛ם

shall overtake

תַּשִּׂ֥יג

 

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

and the famine

וְהָרָעָ֞ב

whereof ye were afraid

יִדְבַּ֧ק

and none of them shall remain

that I will bring

For thus saith

אָמַ֜ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

of hosts

צְבָאוֹת֮

the God

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵל֒

 

כַּאֲשֶׁר֩

be poured forth

תִּתַּ֤ךְ

As mine anger

אַפִּ֜י

and my fury

חֲמָתִי֙

 

עַל

upon the inhabitants

יֹֽשְׁבֵי֙

of Jerusalem

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

 

כֵּ֣ן

be poured forth

תִּתַּ֤ךְ

and my fury

חֲמָתִי֙

 

עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם

upon you when ye shall enter

בְּבֹאֲכֶ֖ם

into Egypt

מִצְרָ֑יִם

 

וִהְיִיתֶ֞ם

and ye shall be an execration

לְאָלָ֤ה

and an astonishment

וּלְשַׁמָּה֙

and a curse

וְלִקְלָלָ֣ה

and a reproach

וּלְחֶרְפָּ֔ה

and ye shall see

תִרְא֣וּ

The LORD

עֲלֵיכֶם֙

concerning you O ye remnant

שְׁאֵרִ֣ית

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֔ה

 

אַל

Go

תָּבֹ֖אוּ

ye not into Egypt

מִצְרָ֑יִם

certainly

תֵּֽדְע֔וּ

certainly

כִּי

that I have admonished

הַעִידֹ֥תִי

 

בָכֶ֖ם

you this day

For ye dissembled

הִתְעֵתיֶם֮

in your hearts

בְּנַפְשֽׁוֹתֵיכֶם֒

 

כִּֽי

 

אַתֶּ֞ם

when ye sent

שְׁלַחְתֶּ֣ם

 

אֹתִ֗י

 

אֶל

and according unto all that the LORD

יְהוָ֧ה

nor any thing for the which he hath sent
