me in the night

לַּ֗יְלָה

thou hast tried

צְרַפְתַּ֥נִי

me and shalt find

תִּמְצָ֑א

nothing I am purposed

זַ֝מֹּתִ֗י

 

בַּל

shall not transgress

יַעֲבָר

that my mouth

בִּדְבַ֣ר

of thy lips

I have kept

שָׁ֝מַ֗רְתִּי

me from the paths

אָרְח֥וֹת

of the destroyer

פָּרִֽיץ׃

Hold up

תָּמֹ֣ךְ

my goings

אֲ֭שֻׁרַי

in thy paths

בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתֶ֑יךָ

 

בַּל

slip

נָמ֥וֹטּוּ

that my footsteps

פְעָמָֽי׃

 

אֲנִֽי

I have called

קְרָאתִ֣יךָ

 

כִֽי

upon thee for thou wilt hear

תַעֲנֵ֣נִי

me O God

אֵ֑ל

incline

הַֽט

thine ear

אָזְנְךָ֥

 

לִ֝֗י

unto me and hear

שְׁמַ֣ע

my speech

אִמְרָתִֽי׃

Shew thy marvellous

הַפְלֵ֣ה

lovingkindness

חֲ֭סָדֶיךָ

O thou that savest

מוֹשִׁ֣יעַ

them which put their trust

חוֹסִ֑ים

in thee from those that rise up

מִ֝מִּתְקוֹמְמִ֗ים

by thy right hand

בִּֽימִינֶֽךָ׃

Keep

שָׁ֭מְרֵנִי

me as the apple

כְּאִישׁ֣וֹן

of the eye

בַּת

 

עָ֑יִן

me under the shadow

בְּצֵ֥ל

of thy wings

כְּ֝נָפֶ֗יךָ

hide

תַּסְתִּירֵֽנִי׃

From

מִפְּנֵ֣י

the wicked

רְ֭שָׁעִים

that

ז֣וּ

oppress

שַׁדּ֑וּנִי

enemies

אֹיְבַ֥י

me from my deadly

בְּ֝נֶ֗פֶשׁ

who compass me about

יַקִּ֥יפוּ

 

עָלָֽי׃

in their own fat

חֶלְבָּ֥מוֹ

They are inclosed

סָּגְר֑וּ

with their mouth

פִּ֝֗ימוֹ

they speak

דִּבְּר֥וּ

proudly

בְגֵאֽוּת׃

us in our steps

אַ֭שֻּׁרֵינוּ

 

עַתָּ֣ה

They have now compassed

סְבָב֑וּניּ

their eyes

עֵינֵיהֶ֥ם

they have set

יָ֝שִׁ֗יתוּ

bowing down

לִנְט֥וֹת

to the earth

בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

Like

דִּמְיֹנ֗וֹ

as a lion

כְּ֭אַרְיֵה

that is greedy

יִכְס֣וֹף

of his prey

לִטְר֑וֹף

and as it were a young lion

וְ֝כִכְפִ֗יר

lurking

יֹשֵׁ֥ב

in secret places

בְּמִסְתָּרִֽים׃

Arise

קוּמָ֤ה

O LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

disappoint

קַדְּמָ֣ה

him

פָ֭נָיו

cast him down

הַכְרִיעֵ֑הוּ

deliver

פַּלְּטָ֥ה

my soul

נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י

from the wicked

מֵרָשָׁ֥ע

which is thy sword

חַרְבֶּֽךָ׃

From men

מִֽמְתִ֬ים

which are thy hand

יָדְךָ֙׀

O LORD

יְהוָ֡ה

From men

מִֽמְתִ֬ים

of the world

מֵחֶ֗לֶד

which have their portion

חֶלְקָ֥ם

in this life

בַּֽחַיִּים֮

with thy hid

וּֽצְפיּנְךָ֮

thou fillest

תְּמַלֵּ֪א

and whose belly

בִ֫טְנָ֥ם

treasure they are full

יִשְׂבְּע֥וּ

of children

בָנִ֑ים

and leave

וְהִנִּ֥יחוּ

the rest

יִ֝תְרָ֗ם

of their substance to their babes

לְעוֹלְלֵיהֶֽם׃

 

אֲנִ֗י

in righteousness

בְּ֭צֶדֶק

As for me I will behold

אֶחֱזֶ֣ה

thy face

פָנֶ֑יךָ

I shall be satisfied

אֶשְׂבְּעָ֥ה

when I awake

בְ֝הָקִ֗יץ

with thy likeness

תְּמוּנָתֶֽךָ׃
