upon the LORD

unto my God

and cried

אֲשַׁ֫וֵּ֥עַ

he heard

יִשְׁמַ֣ע

out of his temple

מֵהֵיכָל֣וֹ

my voice

קוֹלִ֑י

and my cry

וְ֝שַׁוְעָתִ֗י

before

לְפָנָ֤יו׀

came

תָּב֬וֹא

him even into his ears

בְאָזְנָֽיו׃

and were shaken

וַ֝יִּתְגָּֽעֲשׁ֗וּ

and trembled

וַתִּרְעַ֨שׁ׀

Then the earth

הָאָ֗רֶץ

the foundations

וּמוֹסְדֵ֣י

also of the hills

הָרִ֣ים

moved

יִרְגָּ֑זוּ

and were shaken

וַ֝יִּתְגָּֽעֲשׁ֗וּ

because he was wroth

out of his nostrils

בְּאַפּ֗וֹ

בָּעֲר֥וּ

 

מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃

He bowed

וַיֵּ֣ט

the heavens

שָׁ֭מַיִם

also and came down

and darkness

וַ֝עֲרָפֶ֗ל

was under his feet

רַגְלָֽיו׃

And he rode

The LORD

וְ֭עֶלְיוֹן

יִתֵּ֣ן

his voice

קֹל֑וֹ

hail

בָּ֝רָ֗ד

stones and coals

וְגַֽחֲלֵי

of fire

אֵֽשׁ׃

Yea he sent out

וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח

his arrows

חִ֭צָּיו

and scattered

וַיְפִיצֵ֑ם

lightnings

וּבְרָקִ֥ים

them and he shot out

רָ֝ב

and discomfited

וַיְהֻמֵּֽם׃

were seen

וַיֵּ֤רָא֨וּ׀

מִמַּ֥יִם

me out of many

רַבִּֽים׃

He delivered

יַצִּילֵ֗נִי

enemy

מֵאֹיְבִ֥י

me from my strong

and from them which hated

but the LORD

was my stay

לְמִשְׁעָ֣ן

He brought me forth

וַיּוֹצִיאֵ֥נִי

also into a large place

לַמֶּרְחָ֑ב

he delivered

יְ֝חַלְּצֵ֗נִי

 

כִּ֘י

me because he delighted

חָ֥פֵֽץ

rewarded

יִגְמְלֵ֣נִי

The LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

me according to my righteousness

כְּצִדְקִ֑י

according to the cleanness

כְּבֹ֥ר

of my hands

יָ֝דַ֗י

hath he recompensed

יָשִׁ֥יב

 

לִֽי׃

 

כִּֽי

For I have kept

שָׁ֭מַרְתִּי

the ways

דַּרְכֵ֣י

of the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

 

וְלֹֽא

and have not wickedly departed

רָ֝שַׁ֗עְתִּי

from my God

מֵאֱלֹהָֽי׃

 

כִּ֣י

 

כָל

For all his judgments

מִשְׁפָּטָ֣יו

 

לְנֶגְדִּ֑י

his statutes

וְ֝חֻקֹּתָ֗יו

 

לֹא

were before me and I did not put away

אָסִ֥יר

 

מֶֽנִּי׃

 

וָאֱהִ֣י

I was also upright

תָמִ֣ים

 

עִמּ֑וֹ

before him and I kept

וָ֝אֶשְׁתַּמֵּ֗ר

myself from mine iniquity

מֵעֲוֺנִֽי׃

recompensed

וַיָּֽשֶׁב

Therefore hath the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

 

לִ֣י

me according to my righteousness

כְצִדְקִ֑י

according to the cleanness

כְּבֹ֥ר

of my hands

יָ֝דַ֗י

 

לְנֶ֣גֶד

in his eyesight

עֵינָֽיו׃

 

עִם

With the merciful

חָסִ֥יד

thou wilt shew thyself merciful

תִּתְחַסָּ֑ד

 

עִם

man

גְּבַ֥ר

with an upright

תָּ֝מִ֗ים

thou wilt shew thyself upright

תִּתַּמָּֽם׃

 

עִם

With the pure

תִּתְבָּרָ֑ר

With the pure

וְעִם

and with the froward

עִ֝קֵּ֗שׁ

thou wilt shew thyself froward

For by thee I have run through

a troop

גְּד֑וּד

and by my God

וּ֝בֵֽאלֹהַ֗י

have I leaped over

אֲדַלֶּג

a wall

שֽׁוּר׃

As for God

הָאֵל֮

is perfect

תָּמִ֪ים

his way

דַּ֫רְכּ֥וֹ

the word

אִמְרַֽת

of the LORD

יְהוָ֥ה

is tried

צְרוּפָ֑ה

he is a buckler

מָגֵ֥ן

 

ה֝֗וּא

 

לְכֹ֤ל׀

to all those that trust

הַחֹסִ֬ים

 

בּֽוֹ׃

מִ֣י

For who is God

אֱ֭לוֹהַּ

save

מִבַּלְעֲדֵ֣י

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

 

וּמִ֥י

or who is a rock

צ֝֗וּר

זוּלָתִ֥י

our God

אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

It is God

הָ֭אֵל

that girdeth

הַמְאַזְּרֵ֣נִי

me with strength

חָ֑יִל

and maketh

וַיִּתֵּ֖ן

perfect

תָּמִ֣ים

my way

דַּרְכִּֽי׃

He maketh

מְשַׁוֶּ֣ה

my feet

רַ֭גְלַי

like hinds

כָּאַיָּל֑וֹת

 

וְעַ֥ל

me upon my high places

בָּ֝מֹתַ֗י

feet and setteth

יַעֲמִידֵֽנִי׃

He teacheth

מְלַמֵּ֣ד

my hands

יָ֭דַי

to war

לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה

is broken

וְֽנִחֲתָ֥ה

so that a bow

קֶֽשֶׁת

of steel

נְ֝חוּשָׁ֗ה

by mine arms

זְרוֹעֹתָֽי׃

Thou hast also given

וַתִּתֶּן

 

לִי֮

me the shield

מָגֵ֪ן

of thy salvation

יִ֫שְׁעֶ֥ךָ

and thy right hand

וִֽימִינְךָ֥

hath holden me up

תִסְעָדֵ֑נִי

and thy gentleness

וְֽעַנְוַתְךָ֥

hath made me great

תַרְבֵּֽנִי׃

Thou hast enlarged

תַּרְחִ֣יב

my steps

צַעֲדִ֣י

 

תַחְתָּ֑י

 

וְלֹ֥א

did not slip

מָ֝עֲד֗וּ

under me that my feet

קַרְסֻלָּֽי׃

I have pursued

אֶרְדּ֣וֹף

mine enemies

א֭וֹיְבַי

and overtaken

וְאַשִּׂיגֵ֑ם

 

וְלֹֽא

them neither did I turn again

אָ֝שׁוּב

 

עַד

till they were consumed

כַּלּוֹתָֽם׃

I have wounded

אֶ֭מְחָצֵם

 

וְלֹא

them that they were not able

יֻ֣כְלוּ

to rise

they are fallen

under my feet

רַגְלָֽי׃

For thou hast girded

וַתְּאַזְּרֵ֣נִי

me with strength

חַ֭יִל

unto the battle

לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה

thou hast subdued

תַּכְרִ֖יעַ

under me those that rose up

קָמַ֣י

 

תַּחְתָּֽי׃

of mine enemies

וְֽאֹיְבַ֗י

Thou hast also given

נָתַ֣תָּה

me the necks

them that hate

וּ֝מְשַׂנְאַ֗י

that I might destroy

אַצְמִיתֵֽם׃

They cried

יְשַׁוְּע֥וּ

 

וְאֵין

but there was none to save

them even unto the LORD

but he answered

עָנָֽם׃

Then did I beat

וְֽאֶשְׁחָקֵ֗ם

them small as the dust

כְּעָפָ֥ר

the wind

ר֑וּחַ

as the dirt

כְּטִ֖יט

in the streets

חוּצ֣וֹת

I did cast them out

אֲרִיקֵֽם׃

Thou hast delivered

תְּפַלְּטֵנִי֮

me from the strivings

מֵרִ֪יבֵ֫י

a people

עַ֖ם

and thou hast made

תְּ֭שִׂימֵנִי

me the head

לְרֹ֣אשׁ

of the heathen

גּוֹיִ֑ם

a people

עַ֖ם

 

לֹא

whom I have not known

יָדַ֣עְתִּי

shall serve

יַֽעַבְדֽוּנִי׃

As soon as they hear

לְשֵׁ֣מַֽע

 

אֹ֭זֶן

of me they shall obey

יִשָּׁ֣מְעוּ

 

לִ֑י

me the strangers

בְּנֵֽי

 

נֵ֝כָ֗ר

shall submit

יְכַחֲשׁוּ

 

לִֽי׃

The strangers

בְּנֵי

 

נֵכָ֥ר

shall fade away

יִבֹּ֑לוּ

and be afraid

וְ֝יַחְרְג֗וּ

out of their close places

מִֽמִּסְגְּרֽוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃

liveth

חַי

The LORD

יְ֭הוָה

and blessed

וּבָר֣וּךְ

be my rock

צוּרִ֑י

be exalted

וְ֝יָר֗וּם

and let the God

אֱלוֹהֵ֥י

of my salvation

יִשְׁעִֽי׃

It is God

הָאֵ֗ל

that avengeth

הַנּוֹתֵ֣ן

 

נְקָמ֣וֹת

 

לִ֑י

me and subdueth

וַיַּדְבֵּ֖ר

the people

עַמִּ֣ים

 

תַּחְתָּֽי׃

He delivereth

מְפַלְּטִ֗י

me from mine enemies

מֵאֹ֫יְבָ֥י

above those that rise up

קָ֭מַי

yea thou liftest me up

תְּרוֹמְמֵ֑נִי

Therefore will I give thanks

Great

מַגְדִּל֮

deliverance

יְשׁוּע֪וֹת

giveth he to his king

מַ֫לְכּ֥וֹ

and sheweth

וְעֹ֤שֶׂה

mercy

חֶ֨סֶד׀

to his anointed

לִמְשִׁיח֗וֹ

to David

לְדָוִ֥ד

and to his seed

וּלְזַרְע֗וֹ

for

עַד

evermore
