Trust

בְּטַ֣ח

in the LORD

בַּֽ֭יהוָה

and do

וַעֲשֵׂה

good

ט֑וֹב

so shalt thou dwell

שְׁכָן

in the land

אֶ֝֗רֶץ

thou shalt be fed

וּרְעֵ֥ה

and verily

אֱמוּנָֽה׃

Delight

וְהִתְעַנַּ֥ג

 

עַל

thyself also in the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

and he shall give

וְיִֽתֶּן

 

לְ֝ךָ֗

thee the desires

מִשְׁאֲלֹ֥ת

of thine heart

לִבֶּֽךָ׃

Commit

גּ֣וֹל

 

עַל

unto the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

thy way

דַּרְכֶּ֑ךָ

trust

וּבְטַ֥ח

 

עָ֝לָ֗יו

 

וְה֣וּא

also in him and he shall bring it to pass

יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃

And he shall bring forth

וְהוֹצִ֣יא

as the light

כָא֣וֹר

thy righteousness

צִדְקֶ֑ךָ

and thy judgment

וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטֶ֗ךָ

as the noonday

כַּֽצָּהֳרָֽיִם׃

Rest

דּ֤וֹם׀

in the LORD

לַיהוָה֮

and wait patiently

וְהִתְח֪וֹלֵ֫ל

 

ל֥וֹ

 

אַל

for him fret

תִּ֭תְחַר

not thyself because of him who prospereth

בְּמַצְלִ֣יחַ

in his way

דַּרְכּ֑וֹ

because of the man

בְּ֝אִ֗ישׁ

to pass

עֹשֶׂ֥ה

wicked devices

מְזִמּֽוֹת׃

Cease

הֶ֣רֶף

from anger

מֵ֭אַף

and forsake

וַעֲזֹ֣ב

wrath

חֵמָ֑ה

 

אַל

fret

תִּ֝תְחַ֗ר

not thyself in any wise

אַךְ

to do evil

לְהָרֵֽעַ׃

For evildoers

מְ֭רֵעִים

shall be cut off

יִכָּרֵת֑וּן

but those that wait

וְקוֵֹ֥י

upon the LORD

יְ֝הוָ֗ה

 

הֵ֣מָּה

they shall inherit

יִֽירְשׁוּ

the earth

אָֽרֶץ׃

 

וְע֣וֹד

For yet a little while

מְ֭עַט

 

וְאֵ֣ין

and the wicked

רָשָׁ֑ע

shall not be yea thou shalt diligently consider

וְהִתְבּוֹנַ֖נְתָּ

 

עַל

his place

מְקוֹמ֣וֹ

 

וְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃

But the meek

וַעֲנָוִ֥ים

shall inherit

יִֽירְשׁוּ

the earth

אָ֑רֶץ

and shall delight

וְ֝הִתְעַנְּג֗וּ

 

עַל

themselves in the abundance

רֹ֥ב

of peace

שָׁלֽוֹם׃

plotteth

זֹמֵ֣ם

The wicked

רָ֭שָׁע

against the just

לַצַּדִּ֑יק

and gnasheth

וְחֹרֵ֖ק

 

עָלָ֣יו

upon him with his teeth

שִׁנָּֽיו׃

The Lord

אֲדֹנָ֥י

shall laugh

יִשְׂחַק

 

ל֑וֹ

 

כִּֽי

at him for he seeth

רָ֝אָ֗ה

 

כִּֽי

is coming

יָבֹ֥א

that his day

יוֹמֽוֹ׃

the sword

חֶ֤רֶב׀

have drawn out

פָּֽתְח֣וּ

The wicked

רְשָׁעִים֮

and have bent

וְדָרְכ֪וּ

their bow

קַ֫שְׁתָּ֥ם

to cast down

לְ֭הַפִּיל

the poor

עָנִ֣י

and needy

וְאֶבְי֑וֹן

and to slay

לִ֝טְב֗וֹחַ

such as be of upright

יִשְׁרֵי

conversation

דָֽרֶךְ׃

Their sword

חַ֭רְבָּם

shall enter

תָּב֣וֹא

into their own heart

בְלִבָּ֑ם

and their bows

וְ֝קַשְּׁתוֹתָ֗ם

shall be broken

תִּשָּׁבַֽרְנָה׃

For the arms

זְרוֹע֣וֹת

of the wicked

רְ֭שָׁעִים

shall be broken

תִּשָּׁבַ֑רְנָה

upholdeth

וְסוֹמֵ֖ךְ

the righteous

צַדִּיקִ֣ים

but the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

knoweth

יוֹדֵ֣עַ

The LORD

יְ֭הוָה

the days

יְמֵ֣י

of the upright

תְמִימִ֑ם

and their inheritance

וְ֝נַחֲלָתָ֗ם

shall be for ever

לְעוֹלָ֥ם

 

תִּהְיֶֽה׃

 

לֹֽא

They shall not be ashamed

יֵ֭בֹשׁוּ

time

בְּעֵ֣ת

in the evil

רָעָ֑ה

and in the days

וּבִימֵ֖י

of famine

רְעָב֣וֹן

they shall be satisfied

יִשְׂבָּֽעוּ׃

 

כִּ֤י

But the wicked

רְשָׁעִ֨ים׀

shall perish

יֹאבֵ֗דוּ

and the enemies

וְאֹיְבֵ֣י

of the LORD

יְ֭הוָה

shall be as the fat

כִּיקַ֣ר

of lambs

כָּרִ֑ים

shall they consume away

כָּֽלוּ׃

into smoke

בֶעָשָׁ֣ן

shall they consume away

כָּֽלוּ׃

borroweth

לוֶֹ֣ה

The wicked

רָ֭שָׁע

 

וְלֹ֣א

and payeth not again

יְשַׁלֵּ֑ם

but the righteous

וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק

sheweth mercy

חוֹנֵ֥ן

and giveth

וְנוֹתֵֽן׃

 

כִּ֣י

For such as be blessed

מְ֭בֹרָכָיו

of him shall inherit

יִ֣ירְשׁוּ

the earth

אָ֑רֶץ

and they that be cursed

וּ֝מְקֻלָּלָ֗יו

of him shall be cut off

יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃

by the LORD

מֵ֭יְהוָה

The steps

מִֽצְעֲדֵי

of a good man

גֶ֥בֶר

are ordered

כּוֹנָ֗נוּ

in his way

וְדַרְכּ֥וֹ

and he delighteth

יֶחְפָּֽץ׃

 

כִּֽי

Though he fall

יִפֹּ֥ל

 

לֹֽא

he shall not be utterly cast down

יוּטָ֑ל

 

כִּֽי

for the LORD

יְ֝הוָ֗ה

upholdeth

סוֹמֵ֥ךְ

him with his hand

יָדֽוֹ׃

I have been young

נַ֤עַר׀

 

הָיִ֗יתִי

 

גַּם

and now am old

זָ֫קַ֥נְתִּי

 

וְֽלֹא

yet have I not seen

רָ֭אִיתִי

the righteous

צַדִּ֣יק

forsaken

נֶעֱזָ֑ב

nor his seed

וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ

begging

מְבַקֶּשׁ

bread

לָֽחֶם׃

 

כָּל

He is ever

הַ֭יּוֹם

merciful

חוֹנֵ֣ן

and lendeth

וּמַלְוֶ֑ה

and his seed

וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ

is blessed

לִבְרָכָֽה׃

Depart

ס֣וּר

from evil

מֵ֭רָע

and do

וַעֲשֵׂה

good

ט֗וֹב

and dwell

וּשְׁכֹ֥ן

for evermore

לְעוֹלָֽם׃

For the LORD

loveth

judgment

מִשְׁפָּ֗ט

 

וְלֹא

and forsaketh

אֶת

not his saints

חֲ֭סִידָיו

for ever

לְעוֹלָ֣ם

they are preserved

נִשְׁמָ֑רוּ

but the seed

וְזֶ֖רַע

of the wicked

רְשָׁעִ֣ים

shall be cut off

נִכְרָֽת׃

The righteous

צַדִּיקִ֥ים

shall inherit

יִֽירְשׁוּ

the land

אָ֑רֶץ

and dwell

וְיִשְׁכְּנ֖וּ

therein for ever

לָעַ֣ד

 

עָלֶֽיהָ׃

The mouth

פִּֽי

of the righteous

צַ֭דִּיק

speaketh

יֶהְגֶּ֣ה

wisdom

חָכְמָ֑ה

and his tongue

וּ֝לְשׁוֹנ֗וֹ

talketh

תְּדַבֵּ֥ר

of judgment

מִשְׁפָּֽט׃

The law

תּוֹרַ֣ת

of his God

אֱלֹהָ֣יו

is in his heart

בְּלִבּ֑וֹ

 

לֹ֖א

shall slide

תִמְעַ֣ד

none of his steps

אֲשֻׁרָֽיו׃

watcheth

צוֹפֶ֣ה

The wicked

רָ֭שָׁע

the righteous

לַצַּדִּ֑יק

and seeketh

וּ֝מְבַקֵּ֗שׁ

to slay

לַהֲמִיתוֹ׃

The LORD

יְ֭הוָה

 

לֹא

will not leave

יַעַזְבֶ֣נּוּ

him in his hand

בְיָד֑וֹ

 

וְלֹ֥א

nor condemn

יַ֝רְשִׁיעֶ֗נּוּ

him when he is judged

בְּהִשָּׁפְטֽוֹ׃

Wait

קַוֵּ֤ה

 

אֶל

on the LORD

יְהוָ֨ה׀

and keep

וּשְׁמֹ֬ר

his way

דַּרְכּ֗וֹ

and he shall exalt

וִֽ֭ירוֹמִמְךָ

thee to inherit

לָרֶ֣שֶׁת

the land

אָ֑רֶץ

are cut off

בְּהִכָּרֵ֖ת

when the wicked

רְשָׁעִ֣ים

thou shalt see

תִּרְאֶֽה׃

I have seen

רָ֭אִיתִי

the wicked

רָשָׁ֣ע

in great power

עָרִ֑יץ

and spreading

וּ֝מִתְעָרֶ֗ה

bay tree

כְּאֶזְרָ֥ח

himself like a green

רַעֲנָֽן׃

Yet he passed away

וַ֭יַּֽעֲבֹר

 

וְהִנֵּ֣ה

 

אֵינֶ֑נּוּ

and lo he was not yea I sought

וָֽ֝אֲבַקְשֵׁ֗הוּ

 

וְלֹ֣א

him but he could not be found

נִמְצָֽא׃

Mark

שְׁמָר

the perfect

תָּ֭ם

man and behold

וּרְאֵ֣ה

the upright

יָשָׁ֑ר

 

כִּֽי

for the end

אַחֲרִ֖ית

of that man

לְאִ֣ישׁ

is peace

שָׁלֽוֹם׃

But the transgressors

וּֽ֭פֹשְׁעִים

shall be destroyed

נִשְׁמְד֣וּ

together

יַחְדָּ֑ו

the end

אַחֲרִ֖ית

of the wicked

רְשָׁעִ֣ים

shall be cut off

נִכְרָֽתָה׃

But the salvation

וּתְשׁוּעַ֣ת

of the righteous

צַ֭דִּיקִים

is of the LORD

מֵיְהוָ֑ה

he is their strength

מָֽ֝עוּזָּ֗ם

in the time

בְּעֵ֣ת

of trouble

צָרָֽה׃

shall help

וַֽיַּעְזְרֵ֥ם

And the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

them and deliver

יְפַלְּטֵ֣ם

them and deliver

יְפַלְּטֵ֣ם

them from the wicked

מֵ֭רְשָׁעִים

and save

וְיוֹשִׁיעֵ֑ם

 

כִּי

them because they trust

חָ֥סוּ

 

בֽוֹ׃
