transgressors

בֹּ֖גְדֵי

to any wicked

אָ֣וֶן

They return

יָשׁ֣וּבוּ

at evening

לָ֭עֶרֶב

they make a noise

יֶהֱמ֥וּ

like a dog

כַכָּ֗לֶב

and go round about

וִיס֥וֹבְבוּ

the city

עִֽיר׃

 

הִנֵּ֤ה׀

Behold they belch out

יַבִּ֘יע֤וּן

with their mouth

בְּפִיהֶ֗ם

swords

חֲ֭רָבוֹת

are in their lips

בְּשִׂפְתוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם

 

כִּי

 

מִ֥י

for who say they doth hear

שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃

 

וְאַתָּ֣ה

But thou O LORD

יְ֭הוָה

shalt laugh

תִּשְׂחַק

 

לָ֑מוֹ

in derision

תִּ֝לְעַ֗ג

 

לְכָל

at them thou shalt have all the heathen

גּוֹיִֽם׃

Because of his strength

עֻ֭זּוֹ

 

אֵלֶ֣יךָ

will I wait

אֶשְׁמֹ֑רָה

 

כִּֽי

upon thee for God

אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים

is my defence

מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי׃

The God

אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים

of my mercy

חַסְדִּ֣ו

shall prevent

יְקַדְּמֵ֑נִי

The God

אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים

shall let me see

יַרְאֵ֥נִי

my desire upon mine enemies

בְשֹׁרְרָֽי׃

Slay

תַּהַרְגֵ֤ם׀

forget

יִשְׁכְּח֬וּ

them not lest my people

עַמִּ֗י

scatter

הֲנִיעֵ֣מוֹ

them by thy power

בְ֭חֵילְךָ

and bring them down

וְהוֹרִידֵ֑מוֹ

our shield

מָֽגִנֵּ֣נוּ

O Lord

אֲדֹנָֽי׃

For the sin

חַטַּאת

of their mouth

פִּ֗ימוֹ

and the words

דְּֽבַר

of their lips

שְׂפָ֫תֵ֥ימוֹ

let them even be taken

וְיִלָּכְד֥וּ

in their pride

בִגְאוֹנָ֑ם

and for cursing

וּמֵאָלָ֖ה

and lying

וּמִכַּ֣חַשׁ

which they speak

יְסַפֵּֽרוּ׃

Consume

כַּלֵּ֪ה

them in wrath

בְחֵמָה֮

Consume

them that they may not be and let them know

וְֽיֵדְע֗וּ

לְאַפְסֵ֖י

לָ֭עֶרֶב

Let them wander up and down

יְנִוע֣וּן

for meat

if they be not satisfied

יִ֝שְׂבְּע֗וּ

and grudge

וַיָּלִֽינוּ׃

 

וַאֲנִ֤י׀

But I will sing

אָשִׁ֣יר

of thy power

עֻזֶּךָ֮

yea I will sing aloud

וַאֲרַנֵּ֥ן

in the morning

לַבֹּ֗קֶר

of thy mercy

חַ֫סְדֶּ֥ךָ

 

כִּֽי

 

הָיִ֣יתָ

for thou hast been my defence

מִשְׂגָּ֣ב

 

לִ֑י

and refuge

וּ֝מָנ֗וֹס

in the day

בְּי֣וֹם

of my trouble
