and all the workers

פֹּ֥עֲלֵי

of iniquity

אָֽוֶן׃

thy people

עַמְּךָ֣

O LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

They break in pieces

יְדַכְּא֑וּ

thine heritage

וְֽנַחֲלָתְךָ֥

and afflict

יְעַנּֽוּ׃

the widow

אַ֭לְמָנָה

and the stranger

וְגֵ֣ר

They slay

יַהֲרֹ֑גוּ

the fatherless

וִֽיתוֹמִ֣ים

and murder

יְרַצֵּֽחוּ׃

Yet they say

וַ֭יֹּ֣אמְרוּ

 

לֹ֣א

shall not see

יִרְאֶה

The LORD

יָּ֑הּ

 

וְלֹא

regard

יָ֝בִ֗ין

neither shall the God

אֱלֹהֵ֥י

of Jacob

יַעֲקֹֽב׃

Understand

בִּ֭ינוּ

ye brutish

בֹּעֲרִ֣ים

among the people

בָּעָ֑ם

and ye fools

וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים

 

מָתַ֥י

when will ye be wise

תַּשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃

He that planted

הֲנֹ֣טַֽע

the ear

אֹ֭זֶן

 

הֲלֹ֣א

shall he not hear

יִשְׁמָ֑ע

 

אִֽם

he that formed

יֹ֥צֵֽר

the eye

עַ֝֗יִן

 

הֲלֹ֣א

shall he not see

יַבִּֽיט׃

He that chastiseth

הֲיֹסֵ֣ר

the heathen

גּ֭וֹיִם

 

הֲלֹ֣א

shall not he correct

יוֹכִ֑יחַ

he that teacheth

הַֽמְלַמֵּ֖ד

man

אָדָ֣ם

knowledge

דָּֽעַת׃

The LORD

יְֽהוָ֗ה

knoweth

יֹ֭דֵעַ

the thoughts

מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת

of man

אָדָ֑ם

 

כִּי

 

הֵ֥מָּה

that they are vanity

הָֽבֶל׃

Blessed

אַשְׁרֵ֤י׀

is the man

הַגֶּ֣בֶר

 

אֲשֶׁר

whom thou chastenest

תְּיַסְּרֶ֣נּוּ

O LORD

יָּ֑הּ

him out of thy law

וּֽמִתּוֹרָתְךָ֥

and teachest

תְלַמְּדֶֽנּוּ׃

That thou mayest give him rest

לְהַשְׁקִ֣יט

 

ל֭וֹ

from the days

מִ֣ימֵי

of adversity

רָ֑ע

 

עַ֤ד

be digged

יִכָּרֶ֖ה

for the wicked

לָרָשָׁ֣ע

until the pit

שָֽׁחַת׃

 

כִּ֤י׀

 

לֹא

will not cast off

יִטֹּ֣שׁ

For the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

his people

עַמּ֑וֹ

his inheritance

וְ֝נַחֲלָת֗וֹ

 

לֹ֣א

neither will he forsake

יַעֲזֹֽב׃

 

כִּֽי

 

עַד

unto righteousness

צֶ֭דֶק

shall return

יָשׁ֣וּב

But judgment

מִשְׁפָּ֑ט

shall follow

וְ֝אַחֲרָ֗יו

 

כָּל

and all the upright

יִשְׁרֵי

in heart

לֵֽב׃

 

מִֽי

Who will rise up

יָק֣וּם

 

לִ֭י

 

עִם

for me against the evildoers

מְרֵעִ֑ים

 

מִֽי

or who will stand up

יִתְיַצֵּ֥ב

 

לִ֝י

 

עִם

for me against the workers

פֹּ֥עֲלֵי

of iniquity

אָֽוֶן׃

Unless

לוּלֵ֣י

the LORD

יְ֭הוָה

had been my help

עֶזְרָ֣תָה

 

לִּ֑י

had almost

כִּמְעַ֓ט׀

dwelt

שָֽׁכְנָ֖ה

in silence

דוּמָ֣ה

my soul

נַפְשִֽׁי׃

 

אִם

When I said

אָ֭מַרְתִּי

slippeth

מָ֣טָה

My foot

רַגְלִ֑י

thy mercy

חַסְדְּךָ֥

O LORD

יְ֝הוָ֗ה

held me up

יִסְעָדֵֽנִי׃

In the multitude

בְּרֹ֣ב

of my thoughts

שַׂרְעַפַּ֣י

within

בְּקִרְבִּ֑י

me thy comforts

תַּ֝נְחוּמֶ֗יךָ

delight

יְֽשַׁעַשְׁע֥וּ

my soul

נַפְשִֽׁי׃

have fellowship

הַֽ֭יְחָבְרְךָ

Shall the throne

כִּסֵּ֣א

of iniquity

הַוּ֑וֹת

with thee which frameth

יֹצֵ֖ר

mischief

עָמָ֣ל

 

עֲלֵי

by a law

חֹֽק׃

They gather themselves together

יָ֭גוֹדּוּ

 

עַל

against the soul

נֶ֣פֶשׁ

of the righteous

צַדִּ֑יק

blood

וְדָ֖ם

the innocent

נָקִ֣י

and condemn

יַרְשִֽׁיעוּ׃

 

וַיְהִ֬י

But the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

 

לִ֣י

is my defence

לְמִשְׂגָּ֑ב

and my God

וֵ֝אלֹהַ֗י

is the rock

לְצ֣וּר

of my refuge

מַחְסִֽי׃

And he shall bring

וַיָּ֤שֶׁב

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֨ם׀

 

אֶת

upon them their own iniquity

אוֹנָ֗ם

in their own wickedness

וּבְרָעָתָ֥ם

and shall cut them off

יַ֝צְמִיתֵ֗ם

and shall cut them off

יַ֝צְמִיתֵ֗ם

yea the LORD

יְהוָ֥ה

our God

אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
